Hi!
My flashmode is not working properly, could you please make a stock boot.img kernel?
Just the stock kernel, no mods.
Then I could flash kernel in fastboot.
Thanks for your great work!

Thanks,
How did you made the rom and stripped ftf from an full ftf file? I am waiting for NUT to update his DIY guide for 4.4 so I can use my own ftf file to make a rom, but maybe there already is a way to do that?

Does it work with Locked Bootloader?
I am currently on iHacker's rom and flashed with his recommended stripped kernel (should be 4.3's kernel)
I already have TWRP installed, can I just flash your ROM and use Flashtool to flash your stripped kernel?
Will that affects future downgrading?
Thanks for your work:good::good::good:

Yes, it will work on locked bootloader as its based on stock firmware so has stock kernel

Do I have to have a rooted device. Because I'm from the UK, and really eager to try out the kitkat. However, I'm not sure if it'll be safe.

For this yes, as you need recovery
Unless you install the recovery on 534 FW
However, you can flash a stock 4.4.2 FTF on flashtool without root

Shall I use the Vodafone one, as that is the only version for my phone in the UK.
Also, if I want to remove the FTF and go back to 4.3, how'd I do so?
Really appreciate all of this btw!

After using this ROM for 20h there was only one call notification that was routed via the earpiece. So it is not bad, but not great. :/

It comes with NFC icon pre-enable I assume , compare with spain tft which need to modified.
any of the irritating notifications?
has permanent "swipe up to unlock" text?
compatible to all xperia z cust #s?
Possible to elaborate more on merging files?
I need help on merging the files as well.
Any idea how to do it on Mac OSX?
update:
I've figured out how to merge the files in Mac OSX with terminal.
After flashing the rom, I'm still on 4.1.2?
why 4.1.2???? i already flash it..
the same problem: 4.1.2 after flashing
flashtool 0.9.11.0
flashing process was completed without any errors
but... 4.1.2 and even not HK - just my previous build and localization

Same here.
The first time i flash from the last global fw and got stuck in a boot loop.
I used update service to reset my phone. It reverted back to the last fw that was released in the uk. So this was a couple of firmwares backwards.
I then tried to flash this ftf again. After the process my phone is factory reset but with the uk firmware that was released a good few weeks ago.
That's very awkward.
@feizylong: Did you use all (five) FILE_********* files from Sony PC Companion / Sony Update Service?
Did you include everything except simlock.ta?
Same here. Flashed and still on 4.1.2. :crying:
after comparing this firmware with ES one, i found that here are TWO "elabel" files!
but deleting of "elabel-c6603-row_201302281243_10.1.1.A.1.253.sin" from the .FTF (and leaving "elabel-c6603-row_201302281243_10.3.A.0.423.sin") didn't help at all
bye-bye, buggy HK

Hello, who can assist for the CMW kernel for the 4.2.2 version for flashing through flashtool ? I think there's none yet released, but there are version where you need to flash the whole ZIP file. I just need the kernel boot.img with CMW, as i flashed the ES unbranded version. Working just excellent, and rooted with DooMLord's V15 easy rooting toolkit
permanent "swipe up to unlock" text?
How to take screenshot now in 4.2.2?

[STOCK][C6903] 14.3.A.0.757 SingTel [LB, Root & XZDR] *No Longer Updated*

Update - No Longer Updated
Pre-rooted ROM has no value now since XZDR 2.7.129 (or newer) installer can achieve root (via towelroot) and install recovery on any stock ROM now... until the towelroot exploit is closed. So until then, use the following easier and faster method to gain root (and recovery) on your Z1.
Update via PCC/Bridge or Flash FTF using Flashtool
Download flashable SuperSU from here and save to phone/sdcard
Use XZDR 2.7.129 (or newer) installer to install recovery via option 3. When done, phone will reboot to recovery
Flash the SuperSU flashable zip from earlier
If Xposed is installed previously, just open the Xposed installer to repatch
Enjoy!
Original description:
This is a stock carrier branded ROM created using NUT's wonderful DIY guide. I just wanted to keep my existing stock ROM but with root and with bootloader locked. This is just to share the result after taking the knowledge from XDA
Disclaimer: This process may cause you to lose your data or even brick your phone or cause you extreme distress. I will not be responsible for any misfortune, accident or loss that might occur due to going through this process. Do not proceed if you are not comfortable.
Requirements:
Flashtool 0.9.16.1 by @Androxyde
XZDualRecovery 2.7.129 BETA or newer
Technically this is exactly the same is NUT's pre-rooted ROM, only difference is the ROM base. So the instructions are basically the same.
Features:
SuperSU 2.00
XZDualRecovery 2.7.129 BETA
For both locked and unlocked bootloaders! (although instructions are for locked bootloaders)
How to update to this ROM:
If you are already rooted with a recovery, jump 2 points ahead to download the Flashable ZIP and Stripped FTF
Download C6903 14.1.G.1.534 SingTel 1276-7941_R6A or any C6903 14.1.G.1.534 FTF from the Mega FTF thread
Install XZDR (and root at the same time while keep bootloader locked) on your C6903: XZDualRecovery 2.7.129 BETA Installer (or newer)
Start from this point if you are already rooted with a recovery
Download Flashable ZIP and Stripped FTF from post #2
Put your Flashable ZIP on (the external) SDcard1;
Put your Stripped FTF inside the Flashtool/firmwares folder;
IMPORTANT - Backup the contents of 'SDCard' (the internal storage!)
IMPORTANT - Create a backup of your phone in TWRP/CWM (if you are rooted)
WIPE all data/cache/etc (this will ensure you have no extra issues)
Flash Flashable ZIP in TWRP/CWM;
NOTE: do not reboot but go back to the main menu, (make sure your cable is unplugged) then go to reboot->power off;
Plug in your USB cable while holding down the Volume Down button;
Flash everything in Stripped FTF using flashtool;
Reboot to system.
Known XZDualRecovery Issues: (copying from NUT's thread)
Busybox Updater/Installer: If you have XZDualRecovery installed, un-install any Busybox updating app/tool as most if not all of them will install a version of busybox which does not support the lzma compression applets XZDualRecovery depends on. The version installed together with XZDualRecovery is very stable and I have yet to hear anyone complain about it's stability.

other country hav restriction on hotspot tethering, so it might not work well, as NUT use FTF from middle east, instead of from our nearby region.

This works fine for me. However be warned that AdAway and Xposed doesn't work on this. Maybe it's because of 4.4.4
Found the problem. Somehow they are unable to mount rw.

That is stock, not pre-rooted. Use the easy rooting v7 to root. I read somewhere that it works.
You can use nut"s dualrecovery to root and install recovery at the same time. Nut"s dualrecovery come with latest easyrootool with geohot "s towellroot. Cheers
It works for C6902?

Sorry for this question. I'm a little confused. So all I have to do is to flash the dual recovery and I'm done? So I just have to follow the instructions on OP?
Edit: I did a little research and found the easy root tool page and I tried it. It works.

[FTF][Prerooted]23.0.1.A.0.167 RU for Z2 tablet [SGP521]

There are ftf and flasable zip file wich install latest ROM 23.0.1.A.0.167 RU, latest SuperSu v2.16 and latest beta Dualrecovery .154 for Tablet Z2 with read/write acces to system.
Stock ftf (.167) install via flashtool: SGP521_23.0.1.A.0.167_VMo RU-UA-KZ.ftf (1.16 GB )
Prerooted (.167) version flash via custom recovery on a previous (.314) version of firmware: SGP521_23.0.1.A.0.167_RU_flashable.zip (1.04 GB )
After install Wipe Cache/Dalvik.
Then you can use this deodex-patch

Thanks
Giving it a go.

Flashable zip worked great.

You need:
1. To downgrade firmware to .314 via flashtool and to root your tablet.
2. Install XZDualRecovery.
3. Install prerooted (.167) version via recovery (OP).

Thank you. I sat till 01:30 this morning to get my tablet back to workable state after trying to downgrade. In the process I lost some data.
The mistake I did was to flash your ftf file via flashtool after I did a OTA update to .167. From there things went south quickly. Now I'm back to .167 after flashing a generic .314 and doing an OTA.
Will start the process again to downgrade and then root and then install dual recovery.
Sorry for the stupid question. I'm from South Africa, is there a way I can get or make a flashable .167 for my region or doesn't it really matter using a RU version?
First off, i would like to say thank you for these FTF files
i flashed this FTF without a hitch, everything works as it should except my data connection. and for me, this is a deal breaker, i need the data connection (I'm currently with bell mobility)
now my question is...
can i take out the LTE bands from this 23.0.1.A.0.167 FTF and replace it with bell's (band4 1700MHz, band7 2600MHz)
sorry for this noob question, my other tab is the nexus 7... no FTF files to deal with.
firmware version
17.1.1.A.0.438 with a locked bootloader ( un-lockable )
Hi again. Managed to get the update done and now have. 167 installed with root. I'm having the same problem as blaze82 with regards to the LTE not working for me. I also need my LTE to work, so can this be fixed somehow?
An ex Asus transformer user, so the sony way of foing is also new to me.
Many thanks for files and help.
Just realized that there is no APN set for mobile Internet access. Added it and now my LTE is working.

Any flashable zip of new update .291?
Sent from Tapatalk Xperia Z3C

[Stock][PreRooted][D5503] 14.5.A.0.270 Customized CE1

ROM downloaded with XperiFirm and pre-rooted with PRFCreator.
CDA (customization version): 1280-7864
It will flash SuperSU and LockedDualRecovery (it will overwrite your current recovery).
You need to be on any rooted ROM already with custom recovery to flash a .zip file with this firmware!
You don't loose any data, you keep root, you update your firmware to the newest Lolipop build .270.

Tnx guys !!
5.1.1 update seems is not that far away.
On my Nexus 7 2013 working perfect, final and polished version.
Hope same will be on a Z1 compact, .242 firmware is fine for me, except ocassional ram/redraw apps problems, typical for 5.0.2 android.
Can someone check please if there's an Hebrew keyboard?
Hi,
I searched for instructions flashing from .zip file but I couldn't find any. Could you please describe the steps?
Thanks and regards.
You can flash this only if you have Custom Recovery flashed in your phone. If you have then boot into it, choose Flash .ZIP file or similar feature and you flash it. You have to put the .zip file on the SD card before this step.
If you don't have Custom Recovery or don't know how to use it - this is not a thread for you, sorry.
Region
Now I have a doubt, if I flash this in Spain, would it work? Is Europe, but no central...
Does Xposed work fine with this update?
Hello , will we receive next update 14.5.A.0.283 ???? Or will we have to update through pc companion or so please ?????
Thanks
I will post .283 version when it will be available for Central Europe region. So far it's available for T-mobile branded regions only.
Hi,
Sorry if the question is silly but will I be able to update to official sony 5.1.1 after flashing this rom? Will I still have root after update?

The version of this PRF is 5.0.2, the 5.1.1 has not been released by Sony yet.
He meant if he will get the update notification once Sony releases 5.1.1 with this ROM installed. My thoughts are probably yes you will get notification since this is stock basically.

SD-Fix:
have found problems with write access to external SD card!
for example with TB, if you have these problems...
These are easy to handle and solve with a Xposed module
- Install latest Xposed Framework v75 (for 5.1.1)
- and the Module --> HandleExternalStorage
Then you should have no problems to write to external SD Card!
Please make one for SGP621 LTE version. Thanks!!

Hi
I have a SGP611 Z3 Compact Tablet with official .232 firm
How do I flash it? Do I need FLASHTOOL?
Sorry but I am a newbie... and I do not see any instructions over this thread nor in the threads I have read...
Sorry again and thanks in advance
@jesusabc
You need an rooted Device! Zip File should flashed about Recovery.
you could downgrade to a an older FW example to Droid 5.0.2 Build 23.1.A.1.28
(flash Ftf-File with Flashtool) and root your Device with Kingoroot or similar and install Recovery.
then you can flash the Zip from Op.

Luckily there are in this forum for the model more choices.

So as I understand it...
I should install official FW 23.1.A.1.28, which includes 5.0.2 I assume... root my device using KINGROOT and, later, install the ZIP in the first post of this thread in the recovery... that´s ok?????
23.1.A.1.28 should be installed using flashtool?? Is there any thread over this forum where I can download it?
I found this one:
== SGP611 (Wifi 16GB) ==
- 23.0.1.A.0.167: Xperia Tablet Z3 compact - SGP611 - FTF files
IS THAT OK?????
Thanks again in advance for your help
Yeah right, FW 23.1.A.1.28 or older (0.167) is ok und should be easier to root.
P.S. If I can find time for the day(s), I'm uploading the FW x.1.28 still (with root options) .

Can you confirm that it will not work for SPG612 ? Looks like its the same .. or not ... This is always confuse.
For now, I am in .232 and need .264 on SPG612 (pre-rooted & recovery).
Tried to install OTA but, it restarted to the Android (open engine ..) and then, does nothing and continued to TWRP ... so, I restart to system and I see that update has not been applied.
What should I do ?
EDIT: Ok, I've tried to do the same as the author ... but .. maybe not enough for the update ?
So, I downloaded PRFCreator + last SuperSU + last DualRecovery.
I then used PRFCreator with all checked + signed => I got a first ZIP.
My first flash showed some error for FOTAKernel and Kernel (=boot).
So, I restored all partitions and created another ZIP without FOTAKernel => failed on the Kernel.
So, I restored all partitions and created another ZIP without FOTAKernel & Kernel => success
But, once I boot and goes to software update .. I still see the update "23.4.A.1.264" ... and I can also see that I run the exact same version ..
So, I suppose the update is not correct or partial .. (recovery is still present so, I could easily restore previous backup).
I've also tried to wipe cache and dvolk..* cache but same result.
Any idea ?
Is there a place to find all stock rom for SGP612 ?
EDIT2: let's try this one: http://www.xperiablog.net/forum/res...ct-wi-fi_sgp612_23-4-a-3-6_japan_generic.554/
EDIT3: OK, flashed and the only error was because of FOTAKernel which I don't care. Kernel was correctly flashed (+system +modem +..label).
After startup, no more update available and the expected "up-to-date" => perfect!
