[Q] note 3 (n9005) bricked?

I just lately one day decided to update TWRP recovery. I downloaded img file and flashed it at the old TWRP. I rebooted the phone but just blue recovery boot text flashed quickly and it went to the Odin mode and there is red text: could not do normal boot. :crying:
So if I try normal boot it does that above. If I press recovery It does the same. I can still access Odin mode.
Is my device soft bricked or hard bricked? How can I get it work/unbrick it?
Lots of questions... I am pretty noob with these root/moding things, I hope someone could help me.

You only have to follow the steps posted in TWRP page:
1. TWRP Install (Requires TWRP 2.8.4 or higher already installed):
Download the latest TWRP image file (.img) from the download link and boot TWRP. Go to install and find and select the Images... button. Browse to the image that you downloaded and select it. Choose recovery and swipe to flash.
2. Odin Install Method (No Root Required):
You will need to download and install Odin on your PC. Once you have Odin installed, download the proper .tar file for your device from the download link above. Power off your device. Turn on your device using the proper key combo to get into "download mode" and attach the device to your computer via a USB cable. Use the PDA/AP tab or button to browse to and select the tar file that you downloaded and flash the device.
SOLUTION: Reflash TWRP via 2nd step.

root SM-G900H with Android 5.0

Hi, There is root for:
MODEL: SM-G900H
ANDROID: 5.0
BASE BAND:G900HXXU1BOCA
I try to root using this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2696537&page=123) but I don´t have success.
Att.
Ricardo Cunha
Flash this with ODIN
http://download.chainfire.eu/402/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-k3g-k3gxx-smg900h.zip
Or flash TWRP for H variant by PlayfulGod with ODIN, and then SuperSU from TWRP recovery
If you get seandroid is not...... error, then choose "Do not reboot" after the flash - pull the battery, replace the battery, enter recovery with Vol Up, Home, Power, and then flash SuperSU.zip
EDITED TWRP version
Try this......
1) deactivate 'Reactivation Lock'.
2) copy SuperSU zip to your device.
3) boot into download mode.
4) Odin flash TWRP.
5) DO NOT allow phone to boot, (remove the battery as soon as the TWRP flash has completed if necessary) then.....
6) boot directly into recovery. (Vol +, Power & Home button combination)
7) flash SuperSU zip.
8) boot device as normal.
superSU zip v2.46 by Chainfire

TWRP for H variant by PlayfulGod
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2725939
Both this method and CF Root WILL trip knox.....which will void your warranty.

[SOLVED]"No Command" error in recovery mode after flashing TWRP via ADB

What i did stepwise -
1. Unlocked bootloader of my g5 plus
2. Flashed twrp-3.2.3-1-potter.img via adb
3. Booted to TWRP
4. Wiped to decrypt phone
5*. Booted to system to enable usb debugging, enabled it . Transfered magisk , arrow 9.0 rom , gapps to my internal storage of phone
6. Open bootloader , selected recovery mode and got nothing except error "No Command"
So i cannot flashed anything what i wanted to
What and Where i made the mistake ?
How can i get TWRP back?
Thanks all in advance
Solution
1. Flashed magisk17.1 and lazyflasher
2. Updated magisk manager and got root
3. Installed official TWRP app , granted root and downloaded same TWRP.img from which i decrypted the phone.
4. Flashed twrp fom the official twrp app.
5. No irritating No Command error again
The no command screen is that of the stock recovery (that's a normal screen). From your steps, it seems like you booted to system in step 5 rather than back to recovery. It seems that after flashing TWRP, you may have to boot to recovery to fix TWRP as your recovery (else the stock recovery overwrites TWRP). Afterwards, you should be able to boot as normal with TWRP still present.
Easiest way to recover would be to repeat step 2 and 3. Then reboot to recovery in TWRP and that should retain TWRP. Back up your existing system, then flash the ROM, GApps and magisk as desired.

Thanks for your answer sir , but it didn't work
What I did again
1.I flashed same twrp from adb
2. Booted to recovery , but this time TWRP didn't asked password and I could see internal storage in twrp but not on my PC
3*.However I took the whole backup of stock nougat and cross check from restore option as there was backup in TWRP folder. I wanted copy that backup to my PC . But PC cannot detect my phone while in recovery
4. So booted to system and my PC detected my phone but there was no backup in TWRP folder.( But around 6gb(backup) of storage was used but I couldn't see it)
5.Again booted to recovery mode but "No Command" showed again .
I tried several times but I keep losing TWRP and couldn't see the backup which I make
Same problem. Resolved by flashing alternately several times twrp-3.2.1-0-potter.img and twrp-3.2.1-1-potter_persist.img and finally updated twrp-3.2.3-1-potter.img
It's because of dm-verity. You have to flash something like magisk or a custom kernel that disables it *before* you reboot into stock.

I flashed magisk 17.1 and lazyflasher ,i got magisk and root but cannot install modules may be becoz of f2fs bug . By the way i lost twrp after booting to system again and No command still present in recovery mode . I am frustrated Moto software is just pain in head :silly:

Can't boot into TWRP after install using Odin

Hi, I have flashed TWRP more then once on my S7 Edge using Odin in download mode. I followed the steps exactly including disabling auto reboot in Odin. I'm still unable to boot into TWRP and I get into the stock recovery but not TWRP. Im on stock android 8 from Samsung btw. How do I fix this? Thanks.
Hello, I had similar issue but I have found a good post that solved it: original post here
I have made it to work thanks this to these steps (you can skip magisk step so you will end with step 7):
Needs:
- Odin (Odin3_v3.13.x.zip)
- Magisk (Magisk-v16.x.zip)
- TWRP (twrp-3.2.x-x-hero2lte.img.tar)
- remove encryption.zip (link comes from original post from here: link) - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tCLamw9j07bhRgEd6qhymqUxExazy04c/view
1. Go to Download mode; Open Odin;
2. Make sure to uncheck Auto Reboot
3. Flash via AP > twrp-3.2.x-x-hero2lte.img.tar
4. Wait for Odin to Pass and exit the Download Mode again with (Volume Down+Home+Power)
5. Then directly boot intro recovery (Volume Up+Home+Power)
6. Swipe for Modifications and Wipe Data, confirm with typing "yes" and reboot again into recovery
7. Install only the remove encryption.zip and reboot into your system
8. Setup your phone and after you did reboot again into the recovery
9 Install Magisk and reboot your phone; Thats all now your phone is running Magisk fully decrypted

How to root j7 prime2 G611F or any other samsung device

dm verification is the most annoying feature in android smartphones i tried to root with super su but i faced a lot of problems with it and this is the method that finally rooted my G611F and it function with all samsung models
all u need is this downloads
-TWRP for j7 prime and j7 prime2 : up-4ever.org/4ngyw69jkw27
NO-VERITY-OPT-ENCRYPT-6.0: up-4ever.org/wp9io0glvlaz
MAGISK MANAGER: up-4ever.org/zvfp1bp99loi
ES FILE EXPLORER: up-4ever.org/j4sk4avscocj
and a good functional brain
1) download your phone officiall firmware from sam mobile
2) backup all ur data and apps (from backup settings or backup ur apps using es explorer then copy all the date to your pc and at the end install all your apps using wondershare mobile go software)
3) get stock boot and stock recovery (u can get stock recovery and stock boot from ap file by 7zip then achieve it by tar format so u can flash it with odin)
4) install magisk manager in the phone
5) patch the stock boot by magisk manager by press install then press select and patch a file then copy it to pc u may need to repack boot file by 7zip in tar format
6) flash twrp and the patched boot
if u boot the phone u will get verification failed and tells u to erase ur data dont do it just hold power + volume down + home
then click volume down then fastly hold home+ power + volume up to get to twrp recovery
7) format data (in twrp recovery go to wipe then format data)
8) pluge ur phone to pc and copy the no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.0
9) install it then do factory rest after that reboot to bootloader
10) now flash stock recovery
now u have root and magisk just boot ur phone and bring back ur data and ur done!!!
