Lenovo A6000 Plus Touchscreen Problem - Lenovo A6000/Plus Questions & Answers

Has anyone encountered this annoying touchscreen problem? It simply stops responding at times at specific locations on the screen. But it's really hard to reproduce the error at will. Is this a hardware problem or a software one? I am on rooted stock rom.

Me too bro but its not a big problem as such its like sticky keys in windows. Like the same key presses are avoided.

Try reflashing the stock firmware. It could be a hardware problem, so if reflashing stock firmware doesn't help, try service center
Cheers,
AJ

Me too, but my phone's touch screen goes wrong if I press 3 point at once. Not at specific location. The only cure I know is reboot. If i have spare time, i'll contact lenovo service centre

Up button

Hi i wonder if someone could help me my up button on the joypad has stopped working. Anyone else had this and is there a way to fix it?
Thanks
Stephen
All my buttons on the left hand side of my Trinity stopped working .....I had to send it away to HTC - it was still under warranty.
I also have this problem. But unfortunately I have a custom Rom on it. So I can't send it for warranty..
Does someone has an solution for those who can't send it under warranty?
I have a custom rom and I think the problem is a software rather than hardware issue. Another manifestation seems to be the that the buttone repeating.
S
The big problem is that in our pockets there is so much dust...and goes into the keys contacts.
Solved with the "disassemble guide":http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=311463
After arrived to the keyboard you must detach the transparent film and clean the metal circles.
thanks andrea,
I thought the problem was related to the rom rather than the actual button, I take it you had the same problem.

why not flash ur trinity into official ROM ? then send it back to the HTC ?
that is the easy way to repair ur trinity i guess
Thanks,
I flashed back and returned the last time. As this is the second time I have had the same problem I started to wonder if it could have been a rom rather than hardware issue.
Thanks
S
I too have a problem with the green calling button- I've to press it very hard to get it work. I'll probably disassemble & clean the keypad pcb & then check if it works.

phone reboot and does not repond to touc anymore

WTF, i was exploring my phone and suddenly it reboots, after reboot the screen comes up but it does not respond to the touch or any hardware button.
I tried a hard reset via the button keys back, menu and power on, but no success.
Now i am trying to reinstall the rom, fingers crossed.
Does somebody also had this problem before?
Ok. i reinstalled the sw and the phone works, but is this a hardware related problem or software related problem?
I still can exchange the phone, so i need to know this.
Never happend to me luckily Glad you got it fixed
Seems a software problem to me

I also think it is a software issue.
But i am afraid when it hangs or reboot like this again and the touch will not work then i will lose all my data on the phone again

[Q] Touchscreen problem

Hi,
i have a problem with the milestone 2 of my wife.
Part of the screen is not working, a half-circle, starting from "settings" button to th "home" button.
All that's left is working. And i don't think it's hardware related, because there is schratches or damages on the screen.
I have installed the EngleMars's kitkat rom wich work great; but problem is still here.
I have tested three rom, the issue remain.
Has anyone encounter this problem or a similar one, or is there any hope of recovering the screen?

It looks like dying digitizer(touch screen). I had a same problem on Milestone 1. Sometimes it help when you put your phone to a sack of rice so that it will suck moisture. But eventually you will need to replace it.

I'm going to try and update...
I hop it's not that but, it's true that it's an old phone, still i will be sad it's hard to find good phones with keyboard in France...

My soft buttons just suddenly stop working, can't seem to fix them.

What I have tried so far:
Restarting the phone.
Removing the battery.
clearing the cache.
factory resetting it.
using the *#2663# trick
(the phone's touch key FW is0x0e)
(the part's touch key FW is 0x00)
about to try:
flashing a fresh new base ROM.
I don't think this was a hardware problem because it just died when I was in the middle of using it. Any suggestions anyone?
Currently on an android 4.4.4
Anyone?
It sounds like you've tried everything that can be done software-wise. I think it's service centre time.

This.
If you already flashed a stock rom without getting them working, seems like a hardware problem for me. Flash a stock rom and take it to any Samsung Service Centre. Good luck with that!

I kind of don't think it is, because I just managed to press the back button and both the back and the recent apps button lit up and worked for a whole 2 seconds. they were still lit even when they stopped working, until I placed the phone to sleep.
And flashing it does not work (although I have that DM-verify problem)
P.S. this phone might be partially rooted, any way to fix that?

The fact that they intermittently work doesn't mean there isn't a hardware issue.
You should flash a stock ROM which will remove root and send it back to service.
Time for some on-screen buttons! ?

Pressing the back or the Recents button simulates a touch on the screen

Every time I press the physical Back or Recents button of the device, a touch is simulated on the Screen.
It's quite a weird issue to explain over text, so here is a video of the issue (streamable{dot}com/nl064)
The phone is a SM-G531H. I tried some ROMs from the Original Development group (Ressurection Remix,Lineage Stable 3 and 2,ViperOS) and the issue persists on all of them.
I'm pretty sure it is not a hardware problem, because it didn't happen on the stock ROM, and it also doesn't happen in TWRP.
All the ROMs I tried where flashed with TWRP 3.0.0-0 and used the PICO 7.1 Gapps from Open Gapps.
Here is the Logcat(goo{dot}gl/uWTNZh)
It was captured from ViperOS, since this is the ROM that is installed at the moment, but if needed I can reflash the other ROMs to provide logcats.
Is there any fix/workaround for this?
Thanks in advance.
This could highly be an issue within your touch screen, you can get it changed at repair shops for cheap.
Or if you think this is a software related issue you can test this by disabling both back and recent then tap them to see if the screen still reacts the same way.
If it does, it's most certainly an issue with your screen.
Maybe just some dust built up under the screen so I'd try cleaning it before sending it to a repair shop.
You can also try other TWRP's cause that could also be the issue.

Well, I've tried disabling the hardware buttons through the ROMs and the issues definitely persists, though it doesn't happen on TWRP.

Now that you mention it, The phone does have a pretty old screen protector. Gonna try removing it and giving the screen a good cleaning to see if the problem still persists.

You mean, trying older versions of TWRP?
Thanks for the suggestions!
