Which apps?

knox, some google apps and some samsung apps

Antutu = 49771 (N915S)
This is from the stock before root. Now I am running SkyHigh rom. Will test again soon.

Please can some xda expert help us to bring this beast above the 55000 mark? I truly belive it can be done.

Finally broke 50k!
SM-N915S
Antutu: 50480
SkyHigh Rom by UpInTheAir, Rooted, DVFS disabled
Can't wait until UpInTheAir has a working kernel for the 915S. Once I can properly overclock this beast I can easily see this device hitting 55k+

Antutu 5.5 is definitely much more generous in terms of score.
UpInTheAir just finished his kernel for 915S so finally time to get overclocking

Hi,
I was annoyed few minutes... But yes you 're right : Antutu 5.5 is definitely much more generous.... in the morning!
On waking, it is still better!
Have a nice day!
Seriously, I think that 53000 should be the maximum without overclocking...

53000 would be quite a challenge I believe. Here is my one last attempt with stock.
Getting closer to 53000 but I think an extra 800 points without OC will be a bit of a stretch.

Depends on many factors.... a few are:
1. Devices vary and asv_group (explanation in SkyHigh kernel synapse). Mine is a mediocre 4.
2. Starting temp
3. Running background processes
4. OC can lead to earlier throttle and hence reduced benchmark.
5. Available RAM

This is my first Snapdragon phone from Samsung. All of my previous versions were the Exynos builds since as far back as the S2. Stock unrooted it was around 38,000. Stock rooted it is only marginally better.

5. My god even after debloating and freezing all unwanted proccesses the phone still requires 2GB or ram to run at all times and at max I only have less than 1GB of free ram. I feel like this is taking a hit on the scores too. My G3 I had it down to 1.3GB used RAM so effectively had about 1.7GB free at max. What could be taking up so much RAM at all times.

I had the G3 Cat.6 with SD805 and noticed very disappointing scores stock. The G3 also had very aggressive thermal throttling and the SD805 was a very hot running chip.
Once I got everything debloated and thermal turned off it hit almost 48,000.
I know that the S5 prime had better scores than the Cat.6 due to much better thermals and would expect the same out of the Note.
Try rooting and debloating your phone if you want to experiment and disable DVFS for better scores.
I also place my phone by an open window as it's -10 degrees Celsius now and low temp gives great boosts to your scores.

I've been rooted for almost a month now, but haven't gotten around to debloating since there isn't a need to. My phone flies. The only hesitation I see is if I actually use the menu key to see the task manager. Since I have the manager on my Edge bar I rarely even do that.
Debloating might be in my future just to see if I can finally reach that 6 hour screen on time. This phone has very few wake locks which has surprised me.

Nexus 4 Benchmarks that are all over the place?

Ok so I've been tweaking my phone, doing everything in my knowledge to make it faster. I am using the stock rom with faux123 mako jb enhanced stock 422-r2. So my first benchmark on Antutu i got 18003. re-ran the same benchmark again with the same tweaks and got 14206 and thought it was anomaly so i ran it one more time and got 16142. I went back and re tweaked everything and my scores were every were, even in quadrant. the ranges were between 14200-16800. I haven't been able to get it back to 18003, maybe because i did it on a cold boob. but, the scores shouldn't be all over the place compared to benchmarking I've done on other phones. Any ideas on this and or fix it?
Your phone is throttling. Your first benchmark will normally be your fastest. I that's how it was for me anyways.
I've also had the same experience. It is certainly due to throttling.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
Welcome to thermal throttling. I recommend a ROM with the Bionic patches (there is an otherwise 'stock' AOSP ROM with these in the dev section, I'm not a stock ROM user so I haven't any experience with it) and you should notice AnTuTu scores going up to 20k+ and a noticeable boost to actual usage. If your device will under volt well (most will do at least -100mV AFAIK) you may mitigate the throttling to some extent without compromising stability however I don't recommend disabling the thermal protection as is possible in some kernels due to the red light death issue. Throttling is only really noticeable when you benchmark back-to-back. It's not a massive issue in most real-world use. I suspect it will become more and more noticeable on newer devices as device manufacturers and SoC designers are forever scrambling to provide the best performance within the thermal constraints of a smartphone. As idle and low load consumption goes down with new processes, full load GPU and CPU thermals are forever increasing!
PA tweak improves benchmarks
I have to agree with you on this. The stock gave me an score of 17K (antutu). stability curve was all over the place in stock. switching to PA did not help much either, the scored went down to around 14K. yesterday i got an update from PA and flashing that gave me a boost of 18991. some good tweaks from PA i guess.

Scores of our Shield Tablet in Antutu

Hello there!
I've got an idea to make a post-poll to see what scores Antutu Benchmark is giving us in the Shield Tablet on any ROM, like CM11, Stock, etc.
Mine (WiFi-only model) got 53.844 points, with the latest stock firmware (1.2.1) and Antutu Benchmark 5.1.. Also, it was set to Max. Performance mode..
I also made a video, you can check it here:
What are your best scores with the Shield Tablet?
(And sorry for my bad english lol)
Of course, I didn't mentioned it, but It'd be nice to compare scores between roms, so, if you're using a different rom than stock, like CM11, please post it, so that we know which rom has best performance

I completely disagree with this without meaning to be rude because every person suffers from confirmation bias and "self benchmarking" is one area where it effects everybody greatly.
To the extent that people can have very different experiences on exactly the same hardware and software as a matter of routine - and no one can know that it has ocurred since it's automatic.
Benchmarks are the in fact the only way to measure objectively IME and opinion.
This is certainly not to say that anyone has a better or worse experience though as you point out, that i agree with.

Hello everyone, I just recently updated my note 4 N910C to lollipop, and I Tested it to see its benchmark score on Antitumor, but I'm really disappointed to see that it scored a total of 38738. Its even low than galaxy s5. Whats wrong?

I don't have any problem with the 5.0.1 in Note 4. I'm coming from Galaxy S5 and there is no way the Note 4 is performing worse than the S5. Its way faster.
I agree that benchmark points is useless and says little about the performance of the device.
Man i have the same problem here it seems that the phone is always in power saving mode and the gpu is limited to 350 mhz instead of 700 mhz. Also the cpu runs at 1.3 ghz instead of 1.9 for the big cores thats why it has low score in antutu hope somebody figures out a solution and also this is a bug in this update

meh
You guys are just being paranoid, I even noticed that it got faster after the lollipop update, I would never care for benchmark numbers as long as I am satisfied with the performance in real world, benchmarks can be influenced by many factors and I barely trust them (and ofc I am talking about Android benchmarks)
Edit: I just tried running a benchmark in Antutu and got 37940, ran it again and guess what? I got 44304, how can I trust this? LOL (I knew it would be way different from a benchmark to another, as it used to happen with me on my old HTC One X, since then I never trust these benchmarks). Just enjoy your phone and stop looking for non-existent problems.

Except the score you can notice that fps has dropped in games.

no they are not useless and I can see that on practice, performance has slowed down just like benchmark scores got lower.
Benchmark can precisely tell and measure the performance, that's it's purpose. In my case I can feel the difference not only in benchmark scores bat in practice also.
Same for me. Tried fresh wipe, re-odin, etc
Benchmarks are 100% useful and in the fact the performance has gotten worse on the beastly note 4 it feels same as note 3 is that even called update anymore. The frames per second for big games is just arownd 20 fps its very disapointinf

Very low benchmark scores.

Hello,
The title says all.
I am getting very low benchmark scores.
In geekbench3: 1200 in single core and 2300 in multi core..
AnTuTu: 44506
What i have done to the moto x style:
unlocked bootloader
Installed supersu and xposed.
Factory reset already done.
Performance seems not that bad actually.
But the scores tells me otherwise.

If your performance feels good in real world use, why do you need some benchmark to tell you otherwise?

I have been using it as my daily,
Only one issue that has caused some concerns is that, if you lose the phone signal and you are on gsm,
it switches to cdma and then acts like you don't have a sim card...It can take reboots and hours for it to
return to gsm. However this hasn't happened to me for 5 days now with the newer builds.
My phone hardly ever heats up much with cm12.1...and I DON"T use any processor tweaks.

that video goes to exactly show you why benchmarks don't mean anything
I hate apple, but Apple definitely got it right by saying it is not always all about "hardware specs" and it's more of a coexisting relationship between the hardware and software that is more important.
Samsung definitely has the superior hardware, but their ****ty TouchWiz screws it all up

Benchmark score dropped!

Hi I'm highly satisfied with my oneplus 5 and I like to show off my benchmark scores. Recently my benchmark has only been around a little over 150k when I use to score 185k sometimes 190k. Anyone know why this is? I do have xposed framework installed but I even switched my Rom and tested it and still got only 155k. I don't notice any drops in performance I would just like to know what the issue may be. Thanks guys

Hey,
Your processor scores significantly less than it should, usually it scores around 40000 on the oneplus 5.
Maybe it's underclocked?
Please upload a screenshot with more details, like this one:
Best regards,
Most probably the highest frequency of big.little is stuck at an lower frequency. Go to developer options in ROM and turn on overscale CPU usage, then run Antutu again and see what's the highest frequency(s) you got while running. If it doesnt go above 2457mhz (cluster 2) than it makes sense why your score is low. Also check your "i/o" scheduler and "read ahead buffer size" in your kernel tweak app. This can also affect your score.
Besides all this, don't run Antutu with low battery this affects the score for sure.

I wouldn't get too caught up in the whole benchmarks thing. They don't always translate to real world performance; I would rather show off my phone's snappy interface (i.e. quick app loading, navigating menus, etc.)
I personally think that's worth showing off more than just numbers that appear on an app!
Just my two cents though, you're free to disagree and do what makes you happy of course

Yea I don't notice any less performance so I'm not too worried about it. I do wonder how my big cluster got set to 1.9 ghz tho as I haven't messed with the tuning of my kernel seems to try to set it as default. But like I said I have xposed, a couple of audio mods, and gravity box. I'm bound to have some unwanted side effects from it.

Yea I don't notice any less performance so I'm not too worried about it. I do wonder how my big cluster got set to 1.9 ghz tho as I haven't messed with the tuning of my kernel seems to try to set it as default. Fair points! Kind of off-topic but I'm just curious as to how you went about installing Xposed? Are you using the Magisk module or did you flash via TWRP?

It is an option to flash with xXx Rom but Ive flash the purify xposed zip via TWRP. I've also used the systemless xposed from magisk but I believe it only works if you already have xposed installed.
