Z3 get update 23.0.A.2.108 for Telstra AU - Xperia Z3 General

Check by Xperia Firm for Z3 TD-LTE D6653 get update 108 version.

Anyway to know what is updated in this build

Telstra have not even released the Z3 yet.. I'd say though, this means they will release it soon now that Sony has fixed up the firmware issue that was causing poor Z3 network performance on Telstra.

hmm, does the Customized AU version have the 108 update yet? I'm at work and can't access XperiFirm myself.

edit.. sry all, changed my mind.. don't really need telstra bloat and branding without root to allow me to get rid of if [emoji12]

If this is T-Mobile branded does that mean I will get WiFi calling?

Your thinking of the wrong t-mobile (USA). This rom is for the European T-Mobile.

Honestly I have no idea. If WiFi calling is a Tmo USA feature like compuguy1088 mentioned then I doubt this ftf will be of much use to you. It comes with a branded bootloader screen and some preloaded T-Mobile apps written in Dutch.
I posted this mainly for the sake of having it out there. I got burned once with an Xperia Z suffering from the dreaded backpanel issue and had to send it in for warranty repairs. Luckily someone had posted the ftf for T-Mobile and I was able to restore to the firmware delivered by the carrier en relock the bootloader. The phone was fixed under warranty, no questions asked.
Hopefully this will be someone's lucky break.

New firmware certified on ptcrb 23.0.1.A.3.12 !

Today, new firmware 23.0.1.A.3.12 certified on ptcrb! Good new for us
(I'm new user so I can't post the link...)
Sounds like another carrier specific branded release possibly Vodafone but we shall see
I think carrier specific update since D6502 variant doesn't have the new firmware certified

On ptcrb website, certification appears to be specific to D6503.

Yeah, that's why I said it was carrier specific update since D6502 and D6503 have the same hardware.
Carrier specific update.

Z3 Band Selection & Tech Mode

So apparently there is a "Tech Mode" menu separate from the Hidden Menu we already know of. This menu allows us to enable or disable bands.
I found it useful as T-Mobile was intermittently pushing me from LTE Band 12 where I have full signal to LTE Band 4 where it's much worse. I therefore, disabled bands 2 & 4, so I am always on Band 12 with full signal.
Anyway to get to it dial

Didn't work on my Z3 D6603 with 5.1.1 23.4.A.0.546 1290-6857 Generic LAM
There was a typo I edited the post now. I added an extra * in front of the numbers earlier.
Not working, D6653, 5.1.1
Sent from my D6653 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
That's odd, it's there on my D6616 on 5.0.2, maybe they took it out in 5.1.1.
You can find TechMode on Customized UK firmware.
It works on stock 5.1
It's an apk file so it should be installable for rooted users.

Japanese ROM to US or UK ROM?

I purchased a Xperia X Compact SO-02J off of Craigslist for use on T-Mobile in the US. It mostly works, except it won't connect to my LTE CellSpot (the one that connects to your home network). I was wondering if anyone had successfully flashed the US or UK rom on to a Japanese NTT Docomo version of the phone. I searched but didn't find anything. Thanks in advance.
I'm afraid there's no one way for moded a Xperia SO-02J
The bootloader is totally locked, and it won't allowed us for unlock the bootloader. That's a dead-end.

XZP Cross firmware flash G8142 to G8141

Hi all,
Thought I'd share my little experience with my XZP. Recently purchased a XZP Dual Sim G8142 that had a generic asian region firmware.
Being that I live in Australia, I wanted VoLTE and Wifi calling enabled. Soo I set out to learn as much as I could to see if there was any possibility in flashing a G8142 into a G8141 AU Firmware. To my surprise, there wasn't much info.
Soo I decided to take a leap of faith anyways. Using Xperifirm I got the Custom AU Firmware for the G8141 and using Newflasher I can report back that I have successfully Converted my G8142 (Dual Sim) to a G8141 (Single Sim).
I have been testing all sensors which are operating as per normal. I now have VoLTE and WiFi calling enabled. I haven't any bugs or glitches yet, besides Xperia Companion not being able to do a Software repair, as it still comes up with an error of: "UEGetPhoneInfoMissingInfo G8142 3570 1308-6997 R3B"
I didn't flash any of the .ta files that came with the AU Firmware cause I didn't wanna loose any DRM keys.
But just for others to know, It works.

Hello, my phone is single SiM G8141 Europe. The Rom China M-Rom works perfectly on my phone, but it is annoying that sim1 appears in all sections.
Could you please, share the way you activate VolTE?
Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the late reply.
I follow the guide of using Newflasher on the forms and used xperifirm to download my countries firmware, in my case, AU generic as I'm from Australia.
Dude it in few steps and the phones been working per normal since. I have VolTE and wifi calling enabled by default in the firmware.
best of luck!
