Hadn't seen any real Nexus 6 size comparisons but finally found this one ^ and thought I'd share.
Your thoughts?

Nexus 6 is bigger, wider and thicker than iPhone 6+. So I guess this proto is smaller than final version.
Edit: I didn't saw that iPhone 6+ got bumper, so this is reason why it looks bigger than N6.

Yes, that's a prototype and not the same size. The Nexus 6 is definitely bigger than the iPhone 6 Plus in every dimension. And it's bigger than the Note 4. It's bigger than the OnePlus One. It is just a huge honking phone. A phablet to rule over other phablets and crush them.
Use PhoneArena's size comparison tool to get an idea.

It even has a cool feature to calibrate the website so that it shows you the phones in their actual sizes.

The front facing speakers dont look very noticeable in that picture, are they there? If so, i love it! Better implementation than the tacky looking speakers on the 2014 Moto X

They are there, you can see them if you zoom in.

I've already ordered a Moto X, but everyone has a thing in their house which is (almost) the same size as a Nexus 6 and its this: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51VNvHzBgnL.jpg
Its the same height but the phone may be slightly wider.

Body actually thinner than 11mm?

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if the device body is actually even thinner than 11mm. Why? Because the size is usually measured by the thickest part of the device, which in this case is the popping out camera. Think I already mentioned that somewhere...or maybe in another forum, never mind.
You can clearly see on the "Specification" part at the HTC website (picture of side of device) that the camera is the popping out. Just zoom in the picture.
What I just saw and what strenghtens my thought: The website includes the camera in the 11mm! So the "body" could be 10mm or even less.
Here is a zoomed in picture of what I mean. It's from HTC's website, I just added the red line. What do you think?
I'm also wondering why nobody actualy measured the size in any of those previews...

As mentioned somewhere else......it´s not so much the size, that matters....it´s the performance......
It's a lean mean ppc machine

(Yeah, saw that ^^)
Yeah, with emphasis on "so much" ^^
If that device was 18mm thick nobody would've be that much interested. Even with 14mm it would still be unattractive because of its total size.
And even now, people are wondering if the device isn't too big for them. Making it even thinner could resolve those manners.
And maybe there are more people like me who try to imagine what it could feel like to hold that device in the hand, maybe also with building a paper model of it ^^ So 1-2mm thinner device feels a lot more comfortable =)
AND almost every preview compares the thickness, so it IS somehow important. ^^
Agree with Kabakara,
I already built a model from paper
gotta love the thin slim look... I wouldn't have gone HD2 if it was 14mm or thicker..

Wow
im in love,,, i WANT IT, I NEED IT!!!
*****, MONEY, NEXUS S
is gonna be my life style now..
Wow. All I can say. I hope this is good...
Front facing camera, nice
I hope there are some capacitative buttons at the bottom, love those on my N1.
Hmmmm....Back cover seems to be plastic like the Galaxy S. So build quality is **** compared to the N1/Desire. Hope it has a few surprises to make up for that.
hmm, looks cheap vs. N1, too glossy and plastic imo
Nexus One looks better.
Spec wise this is better though.
Finally something we can wait for My next phone for sure
Looks cheap n nasty
too much plastic

Most likely Vibrant with Gingerbread and flash?
I will NOT be getting this. I am absolutely disappointed that the next nexus is a effin samsung. I just hope htc will release another true nexus in the future. Until then ill stick with the n1 which looks better than that POS
I'm in the market for a new phone (n1 has a broken screen)... this is tempting for sure. Waiting to hear more about specs and if we are going to see one on AT&T bands..
Am I right in thinking that the Tmobile US bands are the same as a majoritory of the UK bands?
HTC probably said : lol we're not dealing with more unlocked bootloader replacements.
Superamoled + better multitouch isnt enough for me to give up my N1. Solid build and design trump both of those features for me.

RMA? Screen / Screen Temp

I feel like maybe I am just too picky but I wont be able to be at ease unless I RMA. What do you guys think?
I have two devices one 32gb (ordered while waiting for my frost 64gb) and my frost that just came today.
Right off the bat I could tell the frost's screen was dull... not bad by any means still vary usable just dull when compared to the other device. The colors didn't "wow" me like the silver 32gb device does.
I feel bad for even worrying about such a little thing. The device works great and if i didn't have the two in hand I probably would have never known the difference.
After comparing the two It is a pretty noticeable difference the colors don't pop on the frost as they do on the other. I have messed with all the brightness/and display settings with no changes.
Ill post pics once I find my camera cord... (shortly) however I am afraid they dont show the differences between the two as well as in person.
EDIT: The one on the left is the Frost and is dull compared to the right

RMA it. I had a similar problem and the replacement had noticeably better contrast.

Thanks I think I will... the picture doesn't do it justice! I cant seem to capture how much difference it truly is in person but it will drive me nuts if I just settle. :good:
Wife is going to be so mad haha 3rd phone ... Return the first one (silver 32gb temp phone purchased to hold me over while waiting for my frost) and now have to RMA my frost that just arrived for a replacement.... plus I bought the Moto X pure when it first came out. I pawned that off to her when the nexus 6p came... She will never let me live this one down...
Same here. I just got my 128 GB Frost and the colors seem weak and don't seem to pop for an AMOLED. It looks washed out next to my Note 3 and shouldn't it look more, or at least as saturated/colorful as the Note 3? I even put the 6P into sRGB mode and there's little to no difference. Should I RMA? I just got it, how long does it usually take to get another one from Google?

Camera image quality?

So ive seen a recent video on youtube by TechlineHD about his comparison with the best chinese smartphone cameras and it turns out OP2 reigns at top. How do you think OP2 will fair with the likes of the latest flagships such as the note 5, G4(V10), Iphone 6s, Moto X pure, Droid turbo 2 etc?
Anyone can give their opinions, especially about the details, contrast, dynamic range etc?
Planning to get a replacement for my un-unlockable bootloader G4.
Oneplus camera images are always more into a "raw" yet "potential" side.
The post processing is never that much that it will leave the picture too "dull" for some people at the beginning,
but if you know how to tweak it later, it leave so much room for you to play

How would you say the overall potentialities of the OP2 as compared the LG G4 or Galaxy S6? I kinda have the G4, S6, and Op2 at the moment and I'm thinking of selling 2 of the devices lol.

From what I've seen on videos the s6 has a better camera but for the price it's a really good buy

G4 has a decent cam, but the screen color is deceiving. The photo will suddenly looks dull on other phone display, since G4 screen saturation is crazy high
all phones you have can produce an amazing picture, it depends how you use it and set it up

Why are the bezels so big?

I know it sounds like a pretty stupid question, but I'm just curious, why are the top and bottom bezels so big? One of the things I liked the most about my nexus 6 were the small bezels , the nexus 6p has iphone style kind of bezels (which are huge :/ ) and it looks bigger than the nexus 6 (which as a bigger screen)... yes it has stereo speakers, but so did the nexus 6 ! and the battery size is not huge, smaller bezels would have made the device more manageable, huawei made it work with the mate 8 , tiny bezels and a 4000 mah battery, I just drool thinking about it, I would give up the stereo speakers ANY day and trade it for something like that, I barely use them, I use headphones all the time and my phone is mute all the time (except for calls) :/
Well I certainly don't see this as a stupid question as I was wondering the same after I had received my Nexus 6p. I supppose larger bezels are established on larger internal components but I could be wrong.
because they don,t have the choice.

and, I like the fact the bezel is a little bit big. Because when i'm holdint it with one hand, my palm almost touch the screen.
Try lighting up Mate 8's screen, you will be scared by the amount of actual bezels around it in all directions. That's the magic of faux-zero-bezel, lying to you in press images and renders. Huawei is just being honest with you with the Nexus 6P.
Also, considering the addition of dual front speakers, it ain't too big in my opinion - see HTC for reference.

In order to fit a larger battery in the phone they needed to position components at the top and bottom of the device.
