Thanks, I managed to update my SGP511 with this image using Flashtool (without wiping data, all setting were kept).
Rooting with Easyroot V11 took two tries, but works fine. Also reinstalled dual recovery again without problems.

Ohh awesome to know
Had enough of waiting on my Swedish model that I just needed to update it

Just updated my tablet, and feels good to finaly be able to use a stylus on it. It's not perfect but alot better then before then i had to push really hard to get any sort of response with a stylus. The small issues i have using stylus now could be due to the stylus, i many times leaning it a bit to left or right and it dont always do as i wanted, but could be that im using a thinner stylus then i used to have so not enough of it are in contact with the tablet.

After this update it works almost as is thould for me, but as i mentiond in my previous post i could be due to the thinner top of the stylus and how i hold it. Will try use some others to check.

wrong?

flashed my 512 with flashtool, no problems. Thanks!
Edit: rooted with easy root v12.
Seemed like easyroot kind of hung after it said 'cleaning up' but a quick download of terminal emulator showed I could su/root no problem. (I think)

Hi,
I upgraded my SGP-511 yesterday with this version and the touch sensibility is really better.
Just a comment about the problem. I was looking for some fix for that problem when I found that with CM 11 the tablet doesn't have this kind of problem. In my case I didn't install the CM to keep the warranty.

Help! CM10 v.0.8.1 not working. Need latest stock Rom

Hi everyone, I am new to the Thinkpad forums. I just bought a TPT and installed CM10 v.0.8.1. However, the tablet is having endless reboots as the Rom appears very unstable.
Can someone please upload the latest stock Rom from Lenovo? I don't have a backup rom. Thank you!

Which one? ROW? WE? US?
Unless you explicitly need the pen-only mode I recommend trying version 0.7 as it was much more stable than 0.8.1, at least in my experience.

in my case the 0.8.1 is very stable and runs very smooth... i was first on 0.8 which was a desaster... reboots every time and lost some productive data also :/ then i downgraded to 0.7 which was OK, but no pen only mode is very nasty when i try to write on the device e.g in university courses...
so now i'm on 0.8.1 and i have no problems...
maybe it helps if you clean all the caches and stuff?
I moved from 0.6.0 to 0.8.1 and find it MUCH more stable. Pen Only mode work quite well in the new 0.8.1 version too!

I did a few factory resets after installing the rom and I made sure to clean out the caches, etc via clockword recovery before installing the rom.
I am not sure why my TPT is rebooting unexpectedly so much.
I rooted the tablet after upgrading the stock rom to ICS, then got CW mod recovery. I am not sure which version TPT I have. I bought it in the US and it is 16gb if that helps.
Thanks!

if you have installed cm10 you won't find your Information in the 'about the tablet' section. Just install the app ' Android System Info' and look at system/buildinfo/fingerprints. At the end you will find something like 130_WE (i hope thats not an info about whats used by the cm10 build)/( WE = western europe). Besides: i have every now and then a sleep to death with 0.8.1. I havent had those with 0.8.0. I tried a lot and so far only one thing works - i turned of the light sensor. ( works at least since a few hours)

List of things to do after buying a new Android Tablet

Hi all!
I would be very happy if you all could share your ideas and knowledge with me regarding
List of things to do after buying a new Android Tablet
I am expecting my GT-N8000 next week and I want to start on the right footing with my new device.
It could be a list of do this and do that....step by step in order of precedence.
ex:
1. Disable UAC on Windows
2. Install Samsung Kies software on PC
3. Backup current/original Bootloader and save it on your PC for fallback purposes
4. Backup current/original ROM and save it on your PC for fallback purposes
5. Copy CWM or whatever...on your SD Card.
6. Boot up by pressing this and that button....
7. and the list goes on and on....(with all of your help!)

Get a case. A black one to be specific haha I got a white one to go with my white note, not the best idea... Got dirty fast. Also, if you are going to flash a rom, make it a stock based rom at first. Same UI and experience, but much faster.

Hyperdrive Rom for P-900...Works On Our T-900!

I flashed this yesterday, all seems fine so far. There is a known issue with system.ui force close, and is being investigated by dev. It happened to me a couple times after install, and hasn't happened again since. Seems very stable now that the rom has settled. The touch sensitivity in the aroma installer is a little stubborn, so be patient when selecting your options. Oh yeah, I have never seen so many options crammed in a rom in my life! Very entertaining. I love it! And as with all P-900 roms on our T-900, no rotation. (No big deal) here is the link to the op.

Oh, you just install it like your tab pro 12.2 T-900 was a note pro p-900, and thats it! You will lose screen rotation, but I never miss it. Just disable auto rotation after installation. There are play store apps that control rotation manually, on a per-app basis that work perfectly.
I choose the stock kernel, in the aroma installer, but if you like to over clock your devices I suggest bonuzzz kernel. I've used it and it is very stable with more governor options, and OC to 2.1Ghz(i think) I have never OC'ed this device tho. This rom has the best balance of performance and battery life, and has endless customization options. I really don't know why it hasn't caught on with T-900 users. I love it.

No... I did try flashing the boot.img from our latest stock release, (with flashify) but still no rotation. It seems to get better battery life with our stock kernel, but it may be in my head. (Placebo effect) I disable anything to do with s-pen in settings, just in case, but I'm not sure its necessary. It really does run beautifully. Great battery life, and no lag like on stock rom.

no, well, I think there is a way to do it with odin, but, the easiest way is to install flashify to your device, open it and confirm root access when super user asks for it, then you can use flashify to install the boot.img right from your device. .... Now I can not provide support if the device explodes or any of those other things that could happen, but I personally have not had any problems with flashify. After it gets done it asks if you want to reboot, and just say yes and then you should be on our stock kernel. It worked for me 2 times, because I wanted to try the new CM12 that had theme support, Then themes didn't work on CM12 anyway, so I came back to hyperdrive, and flashed the stock kernel again. Oh and it reboots faster with the stock kernel too.
that screen rotation. .
Being broken is a deal breaker for me personally. Such a shame because that ROM looks fabulous

Yep, you can't backup the DRM keys, but you won't know the difference if you follow the guide to restore DRM functions (camera etc...)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/general/drm-function-restore-t2995798
Note: you have to modify updater-script in the zip if you want to use with MultiROM or non-CM recovery..
They use "z3" to detect device, but actually it should be "leo"...
If someone can contact to CM team, please tell them to change it.
What are the know issues of the nightlies known so far? I know that RIL now works thanks to David_vaz, but are there any major issues or just random reboots/bugs?
No reboots whatsoever, one thing that is bothering me is I can't play YouTube in 720p & 1080p.. Other than that it's awesome.. Smooth as silk

No reboots whatsoever, one thing that is bothering me is I can't play YouTube in 720p & 1080p.. Other than that it's awesome.. Smooth as silk

But no other issues than that? I read something about the home button not working in some cases.. Which variant do you have ? And does YouTube work when casting to chromecast in 720/1080p ?
I have the D6603..
Where are the files for the dual nothing about and still no update and no bug fix. Sony very late

Note: you have to modify updater-script in the zip if you want to use with MultiROM or non-CM recovery..
They use "z3" to detect device, but actually it should be "leo"...
If someone can contact to CM team, please tell them to change it.

They choose to use "z3", because Leo was codename of HTC HD2.

Hmm oh ya the luminosity issue.. It's kinda messy but it's okay for me. The home button is working very well right here.. I haven't had any issues with the navigation bar. I have the d6653 variant.. The YouTube casting works as it should..
BTW I think you should flash this Rom with cwm recovery instead of flashing it with twrp to avoid some issues

I know, but it's just a problem for managing and they can avoid it like "leo (z3)".
Also, there is no download for HTC HD2 although there is device tree for it...
http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=leo
They should use "leo" to detect device since it is codename for our device.
It will create futile confusion for devs.

I saw you installed the David Vaz CM build.. Does the flashing using CWM still apply? Or is it fixed with the official CM Nightlies?
Sorry for asking so many questions, but I'm just trying to pinpoint the problems with it before jumping the ship and rooting.. I originally planned on waiting for either the official Lollipop build from Sony, or for the Locked Bootloader exploit to come around.. but if theres a build of CM that seems to be not too many issues with, I might jump the ship

I'm sorry, I thought David vaz's build was almost the same as the nightlies. I haven't tried it yet but I heard the YouTube problem is fixed but the screen brightness still got an error.. Sorry

Some apps are working only on mobile data and not on wifi, wtf
(example: whatsapp is working on both, messenger (facebook) and the cyanogen browser aren't working on wifi, just mobile data)

Looking for SM-T585 LTE No S-Pen recovery

Hi guys,
I searched everywhere for a twrp build for the SM T585 LTE No S-Pen. I tried using the build for the SM T585 LTE (2016) with S-Pen (gtanotexllte) and was greeted with artifacts on the screen. Did I miss something?
Thanks for your help, I am looking towards installing a custom rom and finally get rid of all the samsung bloatware.

I used the Omni6 TWRP from here and it's working without any issues :good:
My full "journey" to a custom rom on the T585 is here - maybe it'll help you :fingers-crossed:
I must admit that I am a little bit afraid to brick the device.
How do I double check that my device is really a SM-T585 LTE No S-Pen?
Thanks for your help!

Well do you have an S-Pen lol? If not then that part is confirmed already.
Then check under Settings - Software Information, what's your Baseband Version? Mine started with T585 and the Build Number also repeated it.

Haha yes you are right about the S-Pen.
Which ROM did you install? I am thinking about LineageOS. I installed it on my phone (although v14.0) and it is really really fast and customizable.

I've never liked LOS, it's too ... plain, vanilla for me
I flashed RR-O-v6.2.1-20181210-gtaxllte-Unofficial - the link was also in the little guide I posted
Thank you!
I will flash it today. Another question please, should I install a 64bit or 32bit ROM?

The device is 64bit, but not all roms are. RR is only 32bit, but of course it's up to you what to flash

Thanks for your help. I finally decided to install RR v7.0.0 and it worked as expected. However, I have a problem with the haptic feedback. When typing or pressing on system buttons, there is no vibration although when the phone starts in TWRP there is a vibration... Everything else works as expected however.

RR Pie just came out and has a lot of stuff not working as expected, which is why I'm staying on Oreo for now.
I suggest you ask in the RR thread - but I'm glad you got it worked out :highfive:
