Obviously, we don't have 4.3 yet, which we will get very soon. Enjoy android 4.3 for 2-3 months when it comes out, then jump for 4.4 on January or February. But it is still very good news. Let's wait and see if we are going to get android 5.0

4.4 is comimg!!! http://www.s4miniarchive.com/2013/11/sprint-s4-mini-gets-ota-software-update.html?m=1

The Link shows the Update to Android 4.3, not to 4.4

The website Androidnext says too that we'll get 4.4

s4 get 4.4 but in first Q 2014

I'm on building cm-11 for i9195, because of I want see my kartal kernel improvements. I cherry-picked a lot commits from Franco kernel and want see if there something changes
Only question is how good or stable is cm11 right now for s4 mini device's.
Sorry, this is the only kitkat thread here, thats is why I wrote here

Is there any chance our i9192 get some love from dev like you, not asking for 4.4 right now but some 4.3 will be very nice
Even if dual sim don't work at start !

If it not stable or good as your Carbon rom don't worry about it.
In this case released it as beta
We are all very excited about the 4.4 Android and we want to test it. Thanks your work proxuser!!!

I don't really care about Sammy's updates since my phone is smoothly working with no issues.
obviously new versions updates bring issues along with new features, a quick look at S3 & S4 new 4.3 update would clear this up

by the time samsung release 4.4 for this phone... i think i changed to a new phone already >.>

Samsung "considering" Android 4.4 KitKat for Galaxy S4 Mini
That's the word from Sammobile's insider source. From the article:
However, just because Samsung is considering the update doesn’t mean the updates will actually come – the Galaxy S4 mini is one device that is most likely to get the update.

[NEWS] AOKP Milestone 6 has arrived! + What's the next for AOKP?

Hi XDA Community,
I'd like to share 2 pieces of good news to all of you esp. AOKP fans.
AOKP Milestone 6 Arriving!
Another great work from the AOKP Team is coming soon!
It will be the final Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich ROM release.
I'm guessing a long list would be generated in the changelog e.g. tons of existing bugs squashed, broken features fixed, etc. *Eagerly waiting for it!* :victory:
Notes:
AOKP Milestone 6 can to be referred to as AOKP Build 41;
Milestones are AOKP's most stable release builds.
AOKP doesn't officially support our SGS2;
However there are many custom ROMs here in XDA (e.g. Resurrection Remix, RootBOX, etc.) that are built from AOKP codes thanks to dedicated developers
AOKP Milestone 6's Changelog
See: [Release] Milestone 6 - Announcements - AOKP
So, what's after AOKP Milestone 6?
The AOKP team will be taking a short break after releasing the Milestone 6;
Until Android releases the code, AOKP will then be devoting their time to develop the new Jelly Bean ROM.
Their new approach for the ROM will be starting things from scratch (instead of merging the codes into ICS).
This will most likely bring about a more stable (less bugged) and fresher JB ROM as well as higher compatibility with the vast targeted devices.
Cheers!

EDIT2: According to Google's technical lead in Android Open Source Project,
Android 4.1 Jelly Bean's Source Code will be released today! Source (10 Jul 2012)
I smell some AOKP's Jelly Bean in due time!

Updating GT-I9070 from Gingerbread 2.3.6 to Jelly Bean 4.2

Hello everybody,
I'm starting this topic apologising for not being that good in modding Android devices.
I own a Samsung Galaxy S Advance GT-I9070 which runs Android 2.3.6.
Following many tutorials I managed to own root permissions and to load a different firmware on my device, which now is like this:
band version I9070XXLD3, kernel version [email protected] #2, build version GINGERBREAD.XXLD3.
I am very happy with my smartphone, it's very quick, all perfect.
I would like to update Android to a more recent version, possibly the last one.
What can I do?
On the official Android site, under the pèage Device Gallery, I couldn't find my model ;-(
Thank you

There is no latest update for I9070 than the one you have now. No 4.1, and no 4.2 too.

Sorry for not posting the title in the correct way, meaning "[GT-I9070] - Updating from Gingerbread 2.3.6 to Jelly Bean 4.2". I tried to edit it, but couldn't.
So I guess there's no way to update & upgrade my device, even if it's owned by root permissions.
Thanks anyway.

Development hasn't stopped. Last week the beta3 came.
And if they build CM10 based they don't have to update it all of the time, which is necessary with CM10.1

Because cm10 has less ui glitch. You can see clear different when playing temple run 2. Even the 21/06 build of cm10.1 glitch a lot in temple run 2 but in cm10 there is no glitch.

Dafuq is up with Google? First Newsstand and now this?
In the very first place, material design is what Android L is all about but this is bugging me bad.
it does work on L but not on old build of L which we have it (L dev preview 2). they hav latest build and they will release in this month .

Mahdi is still using 4.4.3 in his builds. Hasn't fully merged to 4.4.4 yet. The problem seems to be with fully merged 4.4.4 ROMs and android l. I couldn't get it to work on either one

Yes mahdi is 4.4.4 but look at the build prop it still uses 4.4.3 fingerprint and myspyder ..........it was a theory though. I couldn't get it to work so I was thinking that could be it.

I don't no the exact technicality of it but I was once told it had to do with app compatibility that's one reason they still use 4.4.3. Like I said it was a theory. I am wrong.
Work great with stock 4.4.4.
Working fine on latest omnirom nightly

Haha yeah I meant officially.. I noticed people having issues with the beta, and wanted to remind them that its just that, a beta. Can't expect everything to work.
Yeah so far so good the app is working as should. Very fluid, no crashes.
Which is the latest Android L build? Mine says LPV79
Didn't work for me too on Android L. Always crashing. Had to uninstall the update and reset back to factory version 4.6.17. Then it automatically updated to 4.9.13. Seems like this is the latest stable version for Android L. Hope Google will release a new update soon to make it compatible.
