Hello everybody,
I'm starting this topic apologising for not being that good in modding Android devices.
I own a Samsung Galaxy S Advance GT-I9070 which runs Android 2.3.6.
Following many tutorials I managed to own root permissions and to load a different firmware on my device, which now is like this:
band version I9070XXLD3, kernel version [email protected] #2, build version GINGERBREAD.XXLD3.
I am very happy with my smartphone, it's very quick, all perfect.
I would like to update Android to a more recent version, possibly the last one.
What can I do?
On the official Android site, under the pèage Device Gallery, I couldn't find my model ;-(

you can not even then updated for the moment we only have gingerbread, and an alpha version of cyanogen mod 7

There is no latest update for I9070 than the one you have now. No 4.1, and no 4.2 too.

I understand.
Sorry for not posting the title in the correct way, meaning "[GT-I9070] - Updating from Gingerbread 2.3.6 to Jelly Bean 4.2". I tried to edit it, but couldn't.
So I guess there's no way to update & upgrade my device, even if it's owned by root permissions.

Yes, but you could have posted the info in one of the leaked threads or anyone of the JB threads for that matter instead of creating another. Also how do you know that this is the final build and not just another leak? Is there a source link that states the build you posted is in fact the final official JB build? Because it could quite possibly just be another leak

I have been waiting patiently for JB to official come. My phone is running pure stock with no root.
I am tired of coming on XDA to another "Official Jelly Bean!!! OTA!!!!!"
Please guys and gals, lets put in the all about jelly bean thread and when the real deal is out, faryaab will most likely post a odin flashable, the mods will make a thread all about the official release and someone will make a CWM version too!

Yeah, you're the Samsung spy.
S3 whole community is waiting for the official version of JB. I do not mean that it is REALLY official version. While I certainly hope so.
Probably these are only rumors. But it may hide a little bit of truth.
But maybe tomorrow we'll see on the screens of our devices "UPDATE AVAILABLE"

First: to admin / mod, please don't delete this thread from this subforum. This subforum is mostly viewed than others.
Second: we need one / two testers for testing this rom because we haven't P1010

You should post this post into madteam. I'm sure you will find more than enough testers, even one-two developers.

#1 - I don't have P1010, my friend too, so we are not responsible if your tablet will be bricked etc etc.. It's unlikely but anything can happen (so it would be good if your tab was on the warranty - you know, ....im updating with KIES and *BOOM* - joke ) (warranty is not a joke XD)
#2 - My friend make a zip rom for test - stock firmware 2.3.6
#3 - If it will be working we start developing

We haven't P1010 but we want to make a rom on this (value pack 2.3.6) Click
If you know how to make a rom, what's problem? Im watching now installation script for P1010, is the same for P1000. Only what you need to make a rom is time to copy graphics, tweaks and edit XMLs (P1000 to P1010)
We want two testers who not afraid to modify their tabs. In each rom developing is the risk to brick your device but if you have guaranty - it isn't a problem.

Finally! I've been waiting for a long time! I saw some pictures and is a very pretty work. Congrats! I think is slow to make the poll reach the 15 votes because the P1010 user like me, think that nobody will help anymore. I enter here monthly only. And, hey, I would like to be a tester, I do not use my tablet anymore, just sometimes, and I have bricked it a lot of time when I was trying to port ROMs.

What is PiDroid?
PiDroid is a Cyanogenmod based Rom for the Samsung Galaxy S Advance. And it is build on a Raspberry Pi.
Features:
For now, just Cyanogenmod Build on a Pi.
Installation(CWM/TWRP):
Download the Rom
Put it on your SD Card
Open CWM/TWRP
Wipe Data/Cache/Dalvik Cache
Flash the Rom
Have Fun!

This Galaxy Y Duos is a newly launched phone (March, 2013) which has high Specs, like 1GHz processor and 768mb Ram.

What Im comparing with is wrong, my bad!
This Galaxy Y Duos is a newly launched phone (March, 2013) which has high Specs, like 1GHz processor and 768mb Ram.
So, its not possible. I wish we could get the official Launcher Touchwiz!

Why are requesting people to do work. Maybe you can do something for galaxy y. Try to port it your self and find if your successful. Its not even ics official its fake.
