Trusted device still requires screen unlock - Droid Ultra General

The screen so requires an unlock even when connected to a trusted device. The notification bar days the phone is unlocked but it is locked. Is this a glitch or is there a way around it?

You should only have to unlock it once and then it remains unlocked until you disconnect. At least that's how it works in my car.

Gtech is correct. If my Pebble watch disconnects from my phone, the phone will require the PIN code. If the phone reboots, it will require the PIN both for booting (I encrypted my phone) and for accessing the phone even though it is paired.
If the connection is never broken, you only need to unlock the phone initially, and are covered afterwards.

Is there a way to disable Screen lock with VPN configured ?

Hi all,
I have VPN configured on my N7, and every time the device wakes up form sleep or resets it asks me for a code (password/pattern).
I try to get rid of the screen lock with No Lock app, it just made it worse (every time I open an app it asks me for a code).
Is there any way to get rid of this function ?
Thanks
No-lock works fine for me. Mine is rooted, though. Yours?

My N7 is rooted. At first No Lock worked fine, but after a while it got crazy, and made the screen lock to appear every time I opened an app.

Pin lock bypass at home?

I thought I read that you can set favorite or home wifi networks and when the phone is connected to one of those networks the pin lock would disable itself.
Anybody else read that somewhere? Do you know where the setting is?
THANKS!
i thought this had happened to me, i did not know what to do so i selected the option to lock screen if i press the power button or the standby timeout then i did not see the pin lock bypass anymore...
It was removed from the firmware. It was decided that security outweighed convenience

There are apps on the Play Store. You connect to wifi. Type passcode once then you dont have to.

Smart Unlock Not Unlocking

I just got the Lollipop update yesterday via OTA (UK unlocked 910F, not rooted) and I'm having issues with Smart Unlock.
I started by removing my corporate Exchange account from the phone and clearing the trusted certificate store to remove the administrative controls (I've switched to using Nine instead). I enabled Smart Unlock it via the Trusted Agents settings and linked it to my watch but rather than actually unlocking the device when the watch is connected via Bluetooth it just adds an extra swipe to unlock screen before requesting a secure unlock anyway. I've tried it with both PIN and fingerprint security enabled with the same result. Has anyone else been able to get this working with the Note 4?
When I got the lollipop update I factory reset the phone before installing it.
I am having no issues with NFC unlock and location unlock, I just wish they had added WiFi unlock as I don't want to leave GPS turned on when I'm at home. But I am having some issues with Bluetooth unlock with my headset.
The NFC unlock just unlocks the device straight to home screen or the last used app, location unlock removes my fingerprint unlock and makes it swipe to unlock and the Bluetooth one 50% of the time goes to swipe unlock or stays fingerprint unlock.
You don't need to pull the "lock" icon, just swipe anywhere on the screen when you have a bluetooth device connected. The lock icon is to relock the device not unlock it, it's pretty confusing when I you first see it.

Thanks, that's exactly what I was doing. I'm used to using Smart Unlock on the Nexus 6 and I tend to swipe from the padlock to unlock that device (although it's not actually a widget that can be dragged on stock Lollipop, it's just habit).
Just adding a thanks, this was giving me so much grief.

Device administrator locked device

Everytime I try to use my fingerprint scanner to unlock the phone It goes straight to the pattern unlock and I have to unlock the phone that way . It's quite annoying

Cool story bro!
If you're using a screen lock app, that is why.
Or maybe it's not recognizing your fingerprint.

I added pin lock because the gmail ask for more security or something like that.

Unless you setup smart lock where it unlocks when you're at your home wifi for example. There isn't much you can do with a lost code and a device with a locked bootloader. I would try to do your pin but try the possible buttons you could have accidently pressed. Other than that you would need to boot into recovery and just factory reset. This will get your phone back but your data will be wiped. Maybe someone else has suggestions. Did you enable USB debugging?

Yeah unless you have smart lock, usb debugging, and/or you are rooted you are going to have to loose your data
I always enable smart lock for my car, for just this very scenario.
I once was using "ultimate rotation control" and due to a bug, it would blank the lock screen (the phone didn't have FP reader, at the time) so that it was impossible to unlock. But then I remembered I had it set up to automatically unlock in the car. Lo and behold, the solution worked.

Can't you use the Find My Android thing that Google has to change the passcode on your phone? I'm pretty sure you can use it to remotely lock your phone. Then to unlock it you use your Google Password.
unlock with "OK Google" if you have Voice match activated?
