Snapdragon Voice Activation Support - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Seeing as the G2 will have the Snapdragon 800 SoC, has there been any confirmation that the motox-esque voice activation will be included in the feature-set?

Dual Core?!

Am I reading this right? Maybe it's just a typo?
"The T-Mobile MyTouch 4G features Android 2.2 the Qualcomm MSM8255 Scorpion core running at 1GHz, a 3.8 inch WVGA resolution display, front-facing camera for video calls, microSDHC expansion slot with 8GB pre-installed memory card and a dual-core processor. Other specifications call for Wi-Fi radio, updated Genius button functionality and Qik access for video calls. Pricing is set at $249.99 after a new 2 year agreement before an additional $50 mail-in rebate, bringing the total to $199.99."

Not sure about that. I thought the MSM8260 and 8660 were the first dual-cores from Qualcomm to ship.

That's what I figured. GG editor!
Scorpion is the name of the CPU component of the Snapdragon SOC platform - has been since the launch of the first Snapdragon SOC.

I think the dual core stuff is a bit further off then that, at least we won't see it in the states till next year most likely

Do I have the Exynos or Snapdragon?

it is my understanding that the US has the snapdragon Note 3. However, my model number is SM-N900A. I got it from Walmart here in Hawaii. I hear this is the Exynos variant. I want the snapdragon, should I take it back and hope to get the correct one?
The 900A is US at&t, it's snapdragon. There is no Exnyos one sold here in the US at normal retail outlets.

I did google it. I came up with this "First off, let’s talk about the two different models that the Note III is going to be shipping in, the SM-900 and the SM-9005. The SM-900 is going to feature 3GB RAM and the Samsung Exynos 5420, which is of course, Octa-Core. Meanwhile, the SM-9005 is packing the same 3GB of RAM but a Quad-Core Snapdragon 800 instead of the Exynos. "
But thanks for the CPU Z, it does infact say snapdragon.
Exynos 3g network and Snapdragon for 4g LTE network, Exynos mostly available in SE Asia where 4g not yet popular.

Is samsung misleading people in india

SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 3.....Samsung publicize snapdragon 800 with 300 mhz -2.3 ghz and go on to sell exynos with 250 mhz -1.9 ghz i.e with lesser clock speed in india.
and also out of the so called octa core exynos only 4 cores works integration of the other four cores will happen in the latter stage....
samsung is clearly misleading people in india
and also the 4 k video is not available for this variant of galaxy note 3
Europe and western countries get the best of the variant whereas we guys get the regular dump....
Samsung are you listening........
Samsung and Qualcomm clock speeds are not directly comparable.
Although different, I'd say the difference in performance is negligible.
I believe the version that is sold in a particular country depends on regional marketing decision, notably the purchasing power and LTE coverage in respective country.
For example, here in SEA, Singapore and Malaysia get the Snapdragon LTE version (most expensive), while Indonesia gets Exynos non-LTE version (least expensive).
On the bright side, you get the most affordable version of Note 3.

SAMSUNG Speak uppppppppppppppppp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11.........
This is actually the first time Europe actually doesn't get cheated this exact same way.
The S800 variant is the main version, except for countries that do not have LTE.
The S800 version was never announced for India. If you'd done a bit of reading, it'd have been obvious from well before the release. http://www.sammobile.com/2013/08/15...agon-800-variant-sm-n9005-specs-confirmation/

Yes did my bit of reading EXYNOS OCTA CORE is the announcement but what we are essentially getting is EXYNOS QUAD CORE.. the A7 CORE Is yet to be integrated....A7 is where the power efficiency comes from.....
Samsung had released list of counties that would be getting Snapdragon and Exynos. Personally I would like the Exynos as it would be getting update that will enable it to run all the cores at the same time.
I think the exynos could save up more battery because of the octa core processor.
For me this is the most important part. But I've a snapdragon because they only sell this

wrong! there will be no update which enables to run all 8 cores simultaneously, this won't fit in the thermal design envelope of the device!

I think this has more to do with profit margin of Samsung. Exynos being cheaper to produce. And not the purchasing power of consumers. If you look at the market, places where Snapdragon is released, people buy in subsidy paying $200. And places where Exynos is released, people buy paying the full price around $700 or more.
Samsung misleading...
SO i guess Samsung should be selling it as Exynos Quad core rather than Exynos Octa core
I guess its high time loyal Samsung users see thru this and look for alternatives.....
Paying a bomb for slower variant..!!!!! its a rip offffffff !!!!!!!!!

Sprint's processor snapdragon?

On Sprint's website it states that the galaxy s6 edge+ has a Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ Processor with 64-bit octa-core CPUs instead of the Exynos 7420 that appears on Samsung's website. I called Sprint and they told me the phone was going to feature a snapdragon processor.
Which snapdragon processor could it be?, or any information about this will be appreciated.
Sprint probably wrong they no nothing.
Yeah sprint got it wrong, just contacted Samsung to verify and it's exynos 7420.
As said above, all Note 5 and Edge + have the same innerds, irregardless of where the devices are released or on which carrier...

One such system improvement that T-Mobile users discovered is the activation of the radio receiver on the device. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor inside the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge integrates an FM chip, but T-Mobile – like many other carriers – disabled it, at least initially.
The "correct" question is: Does the Exynos 8 Octa 8890 processor integrates an FM chip too?

On this, the answer is NO!
Really???
Inviato dal mio LG-H850 utilizzando Tapatalk
The quad-core 7570 is the first Exynos chip to have all wireless tech, including Cat.4 LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, FM and GNSS (GPS), built in to a single chip so why wouldn't the Exynos 8 Octa 8890 SoC have an integrated FM receiver ?
First time ever I am jealous to not have a snapdragon variant then. I had no idea.

Yes, for this one sometimes feel jealous. But the snapdragon's type is also more envious feel to the exynos because the community is crowded about cusrom and all modifications
