The screenshot like this does not convince me to believe that it's a t-mobile variant. Please attach an image showing the phone connected to the T-Mobile network with the word "T-Mobile". Thanks!

Curious, if you are able to make calls with it, how is the call quality? "Robotic" or digital sounding? Or is it more smooth and landline-ish?
And if you can connect, how is the mobile network reception compared to other devices you've had in your area? Does it exhibit signs of those good radios that Motorola is famous for? Or has Google interfered with that?

He flashed the T-Mobile software to his phone, but has an AT&T SIM card. You can either take his and my word for it, or choose to not believe us. Up to you.

The phone overall has great cellular radios. People say I sound clear on all calls. I am connected to ATT network as Matt has said but I did flash the T-Mobile software to this device.

so the device is an at&t variant with t-mobile software? Is the at&t variant bootloader unlockable?

Sprint finally came through

After years of phone calls to cs and missed calls bad signal and message not sent errors I finally got sprint to send me an airave and wow! Full bars! Now I have blazing fast 3g speeds

Sounds interesting, my 3g signal sucks where I live now. How much is the airave?

I have an Airave also and it is mainly for voice but it will increase your 3G speeds. Although it's kind of pointless since you need an internet connection for the Airave to work.
Also to OP, it took you years to get one? I made one phone call (albeit 30 minutes long) and received mine within a week. If it wasn't for my Airave I would have to drop Sprint.
Here's at home (3G) speeds..but I'm always on wifi

That is cool, I need me one of these. I'm gonna check it out sometime next week. Thanks!
I also got one without any issues when I asked. Free.
One note: DO NOT USE IT AS YOUR ROUTER. The instructions had you set it up like this:
--->internets----modem----airave----wifi/router))))computer
The airave acts as the DHCP server using this set up... and it's terrible and slow. It was for me anyway. It's just a crappy at NAT and DHCP stuff.
Instead, it should be set up as follows:
--->internets----modem----wifi/router---airave
(and computer connected to the wifi/router, not the airave.)
Some manual configuration will be needed, and ports will have to be opened and forwarded on your router.
I have wifi but I've never been able to use 3g so pretty much I've been paying sprint for garbage service so I am now going to take advantage of unlimited data

Meh, not really. For data your just as good being on WiFi.. But it does vastly improve cell signal, which means no dropped calls..
You'll start to have SMS issues. I did I finally got tired of that **** so I just unplugged the dam thing.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using xda premium
I have good service with my Airave. When my phone is connected to it, I hear it go off when I get an SMS about 5 seconds before the computer dings (Google Voice Chrome Extension). Without the Airave, my phone would sometimes take 10 minutes.
BTW, here's my speeds with the Airave...
I use G voice for text and have no issues with my Airave..
Thats good. Less volume on the network.
Go ahead and call to get your airaves people
Sprint many times offered me the airave but they wanted me to pay for it which I wasn't up for. Its like buying a working car and then the guy says ok well it'll b extra if u want the engine too. I'm happy as shyt now with the airave my messages all come in on time I can download mms in seconds and most important I don't have missed calls now. I will gladly be paying my sprint bill now... with a smile n everything

They want you to use WiFi. But there is Cell coverage on the Sprint network. It's just that they limit you on how much you can use the Sprint cell coverage before asking you to leave. Lol.
Looks like there are more problems with the service than worth buying into it.

I though the same thing. To many problems.
But, The $20.00 on WI-FI maybe good as a house phone. I wonder if they limit WI-FI calls???

So what would be the uses for this service then.

Well, they have to pay Sprint for the minutes you use, do if you use too many, they lose money on you. If you are generally in areas where there is WiFi access, then this may be a good idea for you.

I would just get a phone connect for the house. That way you can get multiple phones to use at home. So that's out of the question. I guess for the unemployed that sit at home all day or in their parent's house.

I could only assume this is carrier branded. I know my Note 3 purchased from WIND shows "Galaxy Note 3" as the logo in the bottom area of the cover. This is true for Telus branded models too as I confirmed with a friend who purchased directly from Telus. As for the reasoning behind this logo vs. "4G", I assume this logo has been chosen by some carriers who only support up to 4G data speeds (pre-LTE) but cannot confirm as WIND is a 4G data carrier (non-LTE) but has the nice back cover.
Where to get one... Well, there are many sources on eBay and other companies on the Internet which sell battery replacement covers or back covers for the Note 3. Just do a Google search and you'll find a load of these both with "4G" logos and "Galaxy Note 3" logos.
Hope this helps!

In Canada, you have 4G data and LTE data. In my circumstances, 4G is what WIND Mobile offers and it's significantly slower than LTE which is what the major carriers: Telus, Bell and Rogers offer. Your phone may be LTE capable such as my WIND device but LTE, unless offered by your current carrier will be crippled in the device. For an overview of the differences between 4G and LTE, check out the following link:
http://www.csmonitor.com/Innovation/Tech/2012/0430/4G-LTE-What-s-the-difference
My device supports LTE as well but this feature has been crippled since WIND only supports a MAX data speed of 4G. I have rooted my device and have now enabled LTE so I can take advantage of the data speeds Telus has to offer.
As for your question though... The back battery cover is just that... a battery cover. I do not know the reason behind the different designs but should you wish to have a different look, all you need to do is purchase a new one which you feel is more appealing to the eyes.
Hope this helps!

Well , I purchased two note 3 , one from UK ( MADE BY SAMSUNG ) and one From Middle East ( MADE IN VITENAM ) , both are N9005 Comes with Qualcomm 4g sanddragon 800 .
The one Purchased from Middle East comes with back Cover has 4G stamped , the one from UK didnt come with 4G stamped on the back cover .
I think depends on courier and country.
Mine label as 4G in Malaysia.
In my opinion, I prefer without any such label, no need 4G or LTE that two ugly label.

4.4 Update unlocks LTE band 4 1700 mhz & Stock Tethering

I noticed that after the update to KitKat I'm picking LTE signal when that didn't happen before, I'm so happy .
As you know I'm in Mexico so I'm don't know which US carrier uses the same LTE band but I think it's at&t as we use the same bands.
tl;dr KitKat update unlocked LTE for At&t and T-Mobile
Edit:
It also unlocks stock tethering, also wasnt active before:
The previous update had band 4 support as well. Was using it on T-Mobile

This. And again this has been active since the previous 4.2.2 build. Stock tethering has been unlocked for anyone with limited data plans since the beginning. If you have unlimited data it's still going to try to make you subscribe for $30. If you're on another carrier, it doesn't do this check. Hasn't for ages.

FYI - if you previously had Verizon unlimited and took a 2 year extension, you may or may not have tethering. I was offered a 6gb limit for the price of 2gb, but my plan does not have tethering enabled. However their new standard tiered plans now include tethering.

/shrug. Just telling you that Band 4 was unlocked on the "95" radio as well for 4.2.2 . If you had a bastardized build where you had a partial flash and you were running 4.2.2 with the "90" radio then yes, you wouldn't have had band 4 active. This situation did affect a few people.

Are you able to make phone call and send text messages on LTE. Cause I'm on T-Mobile also with LTE and android 4.4. It won't let me make call and send text message. Before with 4.2 it just automatic switch from LTE to 3g to make it instead of saying " roaming indicator off" then disconnected. So I have to manually switch it before calling anybody. Pretty annoying.
If you also have 4.4 can you give me link to get the firmware. Thanks

Works fine for me on my TMO SIM.

Does the US Unlocked model (SM-G950U1) support Sprint's LTE band 41?

I've seen conflicting info online, and can't remember the dialer code to check what bands the phone actually supports. I bought the US unlocked S8 a few weeks ago at Best Buy, and have a Sprint SIM in it now. I'm hoping it supports band 41, but I'm not sure. Any info you can provide would be great!

Great! Do you know what the code is to see what LTE bands the phone supports? I remember it was used back when it first came out to check for LTE-U

Yeah I saw that, but then in Samsung's website it says under specs that it doesn't support band 41, so I just wanted confirmation from those that have tried it personally.

Yeah that's why I'm confused, I was hoping someone had the unlocked model on Sprint that could confirm.

I'm not sure if there is, I tried googling it but got nothing. I live in a band 25/26 only area so I can't test, but there is a band 41 area about a half hour away I could go check

I have unlocked version I purchased from Samsung and I can confirm that it does indeed operate on Band 41 for Sprint.

I am thinking of getting the Samsung unlocked S8 for the BF deal They are running when you trade in your phone.
How do you like using the unlocked version on Sprint? Anything that doesn't work that you wish you had? Any issues that you have noticed?
no visual voicemail kind of sucks but other than that it has all i need

I can live with out visual voice mail. Have you tried sideloading the app?
Does SMS and MMS work ? What about VoLTE?
I've tried using my US Unlocked U1 on Sprint a few times before giving up. They always send me a simcard, it doesn't work, then they send me another that doesn't work. Ended up on Verizon and it's working without issue.
