[Q] Stuck in fastboot (bootloader) - GT540 Optimus General

So I was using the phone while taking a bath in a very humid environment, listening to music. At some point music stopped and the phone turned off. After that the phone now boots in fastboot (blue screen). The power button is not responding and I can only turn it off by removing the battery. If I press the home button while booting, I can get into recovery, although I get weird behaviour (as if the ok button is pressed at random moments). If i manage to reboot from the menu it goes back to fastboot blue screen.
I had cyanogenmod 7.2 loaded and working. I also tried rice dessication, but still nothing.
Help.

Safe mode

I was listening to Pandora, and all of a sudden I got no service in the middle of a street, well looked at the screen, and in the left lower corner it displayed
"Safe mode"
Screen will not respond, couldn't unlock it, I held the power button for a few seconds and it went blank and back again to safe mode.
I had to hold the power button for 20-30 seconds and then he phone rebooted and back to normal it went.
Has anyone experienced that before?
Stock firmware and rooted, no lag fixes at the moment.

Screen won't turn on - auto brighness issue

OK - so I have searched and can't find a solution - so hoping someone can help! My Nexus 7 is effectively dead at the moment
So, I noticed what appeared to be a bug with the automatic brightness a couple of days ago, where if I tried to turn on the screen in a dark room it wouldn't, turned the lights on, worked fine, I then set it manual brightness so I could the lights off - so figured fine, probably a software bug, will be fixed in 4.1.2 or whatever.
Then yesterday I was playing with the auto brightness again, set it to automatic and instantly the screen went off and I haven't been able to get it back on. I have tried:
1. Reboot (holding down power button for 10 seconds). Result is Google logo comes up, followed by nexus logo (so backlight does work) then the screen goes off.
2. Factory reset (hold down power button and both volume buttons) - picture of Android lying on back comes up. Interestingly when plugged into power the buttons are then unresponsive, but when I do this under battery power they work. So (under battery power) I selected Recovery Mode, and the screen then shows the Google logo for in excess of an hour. It doesn't go any further. So I can't factory reset either!!
When the screen is off, I have plugged into my computer, and it recognised. I managed to unlock it once (by guessing the pattern unlock) and I could see the file system. So it is on and working, the backlight is just off and I can't find any way to turn it on!
It is not rooted.
Any ideas or help???

[Q] Power button issue not mechanical but cant unlock bootloader to solve

Thought Id ask here before I give up.
Been having a problem with my nexus.
The power button started acting up recently.
I've tried replacement and also made sure the mechanical button works inside someone else's device and it works fine.
My problem is that the button seems to loop or not work at all. For instance the device wont boot (Gets stuck in a loop) unless I hold the power down until the boot has completed, then if I let go it will usually stay on.
But then the power button is unresponsive unless I hold it again which in turn puts it back into a loop. I can hold it down for 10 secs then release then I get power down option but if I select it it goes back into a loop.
Ive tried a recovery which hasn't fixed it and tried using computer to flash a new image but I cant unlock boot loader as when I manipulate the button on the screen where I have to accept. It then goes into a boot loop again causing the device to not unlock/relock.
Im pulling whatever hair I have left out here and am about to give up unless anyone else has any ideas? Its as though the power button either works but sticks on. Or doesn't work at all. depending if I've held it on for a while or not.
Many Thanks

[Q] Trouble turning on - need help desperately :)

Hi guys. So this is my situation; my phone is currently turned off.
If I hold the power button, the Samsung Galaxy S4 logo appears in with the black background, then disappears and the phone turns off after 1~2 seconds.
If I hold the power, volume down button then I get the custom OS screen. If I then choose to restart from this screen, the phone restarts and the Galaxy Logo shows for around 6-8 seconds then disappears again.
If I go to the custom OS screen again, then press restart, I can then hold the volume up button and the lock button and the blue message saying 'Recovery Booting..' along with the same black Galaxy logo then the screen disappears after 1-2 seconds seemingly turning off, then it vibrates once after a couple more seconds then does nothing again
I can not get the recovery booting screen from simply holding Volume up and the power button, I need to do it after restarting through the custom OS screen.
My phone is also suddenly not recognising the charger being plugged in. There is no observed difference between attempts to turn it on with/without the charger plugged in.
The last time the phone was properly turned on, it switched itself off at around 4-6% battery left and from then on I have this result.
So, can you guys help?
Your power button is probably faulty. Try to wiggle it lose or replace it.

Stuck at logo screen

I've had this phone for about a year now, and it suddenly froze while I was watching a video on youtube, nothing was responding, home button, volume rocker, power button, nothing. I thought nothing much of it, so I took out the battery and attempted to restart the phone, but it's just stuck at the bootup screen. It doesn't even allow me to enter Recovery mode.
Any help?
