Whenever I answer a call, inbound call volume sets itself low - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

Hi, i am experiencing a problem where sometimes i answer a call, the volume it too low, its when i notice that the inbound call volume is set too low. This is strange cause i have the default settings set to max. I experienced this problem with my s3 as well. Seems to be a random occurrence, but a rather annoying one. I am thinking i am overlooking a setting or something. Anyone else experience this problem and have a solution. Help appreciated.

I am also experiencing the same issue, still looking for the solution.

[Q] low volume in call

I have this problem.
when im in conversation, the volume is very low. but when im listening to music is much higher.
does anyone have this problem as well?
I know its not a reception problem, since i've tried to talk from same place to the same number (which is land line) with WM and with ANDROID.
I am experiencing the same problem. Maybe we need an Audio Gain driver.

I think in general Android in call volume is low.
I also experience this with Nexus One.
I did install WOW SRS on the HD2 WM rom and it seems to increase the volume of Android running on it.
Can someone confirm this on their devices?
do you feel diffrent in android as well or only in WM?
for me its low only in incoming calls but its good in outgoing calls, any idea why ? people said it a wenn known issue in android and has been solved here , i search a lot with no luck .

Same problem for me too.
I've noticed a similar problem with loudspeaker too, but in this case, disabling and enabling the loudspeaker during the call usually solves the problem.

You must have the ringer on. The rule of thumb is this.
If the speaker is on (playing something) when a call is made/received. There is low volume in call.
50/50 when you are dialing out. You have the dial touch tone disabled or there was enough time for the speaker to re-gain control (<---?) and thus the call volume is good.
I am praying this issue gets fix pronto.. ... I live in a very very noisy city and I can barely hear the earpiece.

well, my problem is in both calls, the volume for it is lower than WM volume
I guess there is no solution for it for now, might be better later (hopefully).
During the call turn speaker on then off real quick this will raise the volume for you
Hello
A simple solution that worked for me was... Settings>Sound Then turn off audible touch tones. Got this from another member the other day.

[Q] Microphone gain too high?

Hello all,
I happened upon your site while I was searching for a possible answer for my issue.
I just bought the Continuum and I'm pleased with the phone but for one "issue".
It seems that anyone I call they all say that there is alot of background noise being picked up.
Does anyone know of a fix or setting that I'm missing?
I see that some of you are changing some of the values in certain file fields to reconfigure you mic gains but I have not seen this same type of reconfigure for this particular phone.
Can anyone out there point me to anything that might help me out on this?
Thanks for any and all help.
~Joe
i have not experienced the problems of which you speak of, maybe its just your device?
Have you changing the setting for voice privacy under call settings?

[Q] Low Incoming Call Volume

Hi, I've searched everywhere trying to fix the problem but none suggested by other users was able to fix it.
The problem I have is when someone calls me, I can barely hear them. However, when I make calls to other people, the call volume is absolutely perfect. I'm talking about the incall volume, not ringer just incase some people misread it.
I've done replacing the htcleo.acdb and default.acdb files, that didn't do it.
Some have suggested that turning off the Keypad tone fixed this issue, but it didn't do it for me either.
So if anyone has come across a working fix for this, please share your wisdom with me. Android on the HD2 just makes the phone 100 times better, just need to fix this issue to make it perfect.
It may be the rom
i also have the same problem and i noticed that after changing my rom.
I get that problem sometimes but how I sort it is to turn loud speaker on and off then its fine.

Vibration too loud

Has anyone experienced a really loud vibration sound on their DHD? It is really annoying so I've turned it off. Is there a way to configure this?
Thanks
Check whether the metal ring around your LED flash is not loose and that it vibrating is not causing that noise.
It's not loose with my phone, and it also makes a lot noise when it vibrates.

I had issues with vibration before. If It's not right send it back...
It is simple to fix for HTC. Don't settle for second best.
My phone feels amazing now my vibration is working correctly, before it was embarrassing when it vibrated. Really horrible experience to use the phone.

You can change the vibrate pattern within Chompsms for when you get texts. It won't change the force of the vibration, but it can be set to a shorter one.

Callers can't hear me? Phone acts like I hit mute.

Very confused. New to the S7E. I've got the Tmobile G935T running APK1 stock firmware. Every now and then, while on a call, the people in talking to say they can't hear me, like I've pressed mute. Obviously I have not.
I can't make it happen. It just does randomly.
I've read some stuff about people sound randomly cutting out. But this is the caller not hearing me. I can still hear them.
Is it just me? Any advice?

I had the similar problem and searched for a resolve and a member posted that there was an adaptive sound setting that may help your phone conversations. I have the similar problem and there must be a patch or a work around for this bug.

So I need to go thru the adaptive sound setup? I can't seem to find the thread (or post) your talking about.
