[Q] Microphone gain too high? - Continuum General

Hello all,
I happened upon your site while I was searching for a possible answer for my issue.
I just bought the Continuum and I'm pleased with the phone but for one "issue".
It seems that anyone I call they all say that there is alot of background noise being picked up.
Does anyone know of a fix or setting that I'm missing?
I see that some of you are changing some of the values in certain file fields to reconfigure you mic gains but I have not seen this same type of reconfigure for this particular phone.
Can anyone out there point me to anything that might help me out on this?
Thanks for any and all help.
~Joe

i have not experienced the problems of which you speak of, maybe its just your device?

Have you changing the setting for voice privacy under call settings?

Incoming Call Ringer Problem?! (Just curious)

Wondering if anyone else is having this issue;
Anytime i receive an incoming call; the volume of the ringtone increases as the tone plays;
Not saying its a major issue; just curious if its a stock samsung issue; or if it is just my phone.
check your settings i believe you set up for ringing is for it to go up instead steady ring tone
It's your settings.

fix what? there isnt a problem, its normal.
I was going to say... This is not a problem. It's how the phone functions. It's meant to work that way.
Its not a problem for me just annoying! But you are right, I called Tmobile Today and the said thats just the way the phone is suppose to work Maybe They Will Fix It latter.........
Fix what... you called them.. That is how it is supposed to work.. No bug to fix.

I don't like it either. My ringtone speaks a phrase and the first four words are cut off. No phone I ever owned did this. It may be intentional programing but I see no benefit. I wouldn't consider it a bug. My guess is if you end up keeping the phone and waiting for a ROM with stock functionality, the annoyance will go away.

[Q] Low Incoming Call Volume

Hi, I've searched everywhere trying to fix the problem but none suggested by other users was able to fix it.
The problem I have is when someone calls me, I can barely hear them. However, when I make calls to other people, the call volume is absolutely perfect. I'm talking about the incall volume, not ringer just incase some people misread it.
I've done replacing the htcleo.acdb and default.acdb files, that didn't do it.
Some have suggested that turning off the Keypad tone fixed this issue, but it didn't do it for me either.
So if anyone has come across a working fix for this, please share your wisdom with me. Android on the HD2 just makes the phone 100 times better, just need to fix this issue to make it perfect.
It may be the rom
i also have the same problem and i noticed that after changing my rom.
I get that problem sometimes but how I sort it is to turn loud speaker on and off then its fine.

Whenever I answer a call, inbound call volume sets itself low

Hi, i am experiencing a problem where sometimes i answer a call, the volume it too low, its when i notice that the inbound call volume is set too low. This is strange cause i have the default settings set to max. I experienced this problem with my s3 as well. Seems to be a random occurrence, but a rather annoying one. I am thinking i am overlooking a setting or something. Anyone else experience this problem and have a solution. Help appreciated.
I am also experiencing the same issue, still looking for the solution.

[Q] [HELP] GT-I9505 Callers can hear their own voice/echo?

Hi all
Had an S4 (9505) for about 2 weeks. Callers have started complaining to me that they hear their own voice back when they call.
I have verified this myself and messing with noise cancellation on/off and Adapt Sound seems to make no difference. It apparently goes away when loudspeaker is enabled.
Anyone else experienced this? A google search suggests some people with the S3 have had this issue but nothing conclusive for the S4. Thanks!

Update.. no difference changing case. Seems like a hardware fault? Strange.

Hope it help you!
Im pretty certain I have seen a mod for this, but if I recall you will need to install the Xposed framework. Cant find it right now but will look later.
Hi,
I had a similar issue and for some bizarre reason it was solved changing the back cover.
Try removing it and give it a try.
Hope it helps

Callers can't hear me? Phone acts like I hit mute.

Very confused. New to the S7E. I've got the Tmobile G935T running APK1 stock firmware. Every now and then, while on a call, the people in talking to say they can't hear me, like I've pressed mute. Obviously I have not.
I can't make it happen. It just does randomly.
I've read some stuff about people sound randomly cutting out. But this is the caller not hearing me. I can still hear them.
Is it just me? Any advice?

I had the similar problem and searched for a resolve and a member posted that there was an adaptive sound setting that may help your phone conversations. I have the similar problem and there must be a patch or a work around for this bug.

So I need to go thru the adaptive sound setup? I can't seem to find the thread (or post) your talking about.
