Yesterday, i try something with my phone
first my phone in FW V20a taiwan + root, next i want to flash it with FW V20a CIS +root+ CWM + deodex
after that KDZ has an error

Now i stuck in emergency mode!!. i have waiting for it. and still nothing.
I've tried to flash it again. and still stuck in emergency mode.
Can someone fix this problem?
or i must go to LG SERVICE CENTER?

Only solution for me was to flash using LG Emergency Recovery
The offical LG update tool saved my life, it restored it
Xperia Arc S [lt18i]

I was upgrading my LG P705 to 4.1.2 usind KDZ V20B, but it failed & its now stuck in emergency mode. The main problem is my PC is not recognizing it. I uninstalled LG drivers & installed again, but then also, its not recognised by my PC. Please Help.

Yeah so I had the same issue and tried this method, but i am not sure I got the right LG update software. Where do i download it from?
Also, when im running this, despite me running the little server the LG update thingy still connects to the internet and downloads a kdz, which fails to be installed on the phone.
I am trying this on a vista computer, will try on XP to see if results change.
My problem solved
before flashing use should care about alternate program running instead of KDZ upgrade tool, also need P705 dll files
i also stucked in Emergency mode i check Device Manager\Modem disable it and put P705 dll files and work nice
i also tell that we want better stable program instead of LG KDZ upgrade tool

This post may be helpful for:
1. People that are trying to downgrade from firmware they flashed.
2. People who accidentally flashed wrong firmware and now they want to flash the correct one.
3. People who generally want to flash a firmware using the KDZ Updater,
AND
Cannot do the things above because the KDZ Update tool shows the "Error 1002" or the update tool stops at 4%.
P.S. I have tried that on Optimus L5 and L9 when I had same problem and it works. Some users also told me it works on L7 too.

Hello guys.
As the title says, I have tried to test JB(e610 model) Firmware to my LGE 615 with KDZ Updater.
The funny part is that I tried Europe v20B, which is supported for e610 and it (SEEMED) to be installed correctly. It wasn't obviously, that's why I'm here..! I had the usual " no touch " issue. The touch works ONLY after the first KDZ install, and after Hard Factory Reset for only ONE boot(and with SIM inside - If it's not it doesnt work). With the first reboot, the touch stops working.
Hence, I decided to downgrade it again to the previous version. So, I downloaded the correct firmware from LG site.
The issue is that NO other version other than v20B(Europe) for LG e610 is installed (no matter how many Roms compatible with e615 i tried).
I tried recovery from The LG Mobile Support Tool auto-update,KDZ Updater and offline installing it (Unbrick). The first 2 options give me this specific error:
Smart : wParam = 100, lParam = 1002
Step : Upgrade Error error code = 1002

The latter, gives me error in Connection with the phone(which I think is a bug)
The wierd thing is that v20B Europe flashing works. It seems i cannot "downgrade" it to an other version.
I thought "maybe it's because I tried e610 firmware" so I downloaded and tried older e610 firmwares but still nothing works. ONLY v20B-e610.
Of course I tried everything with disabled the LGE Usb Modem driver and with usb-debugging on.
Any suggestions?

EDIT: I've searched every possible solution online(Currently I'm trying to figure if LG Flashtool can do anything. Found the LG_E615.dll, but currently it says it cannot find the libusb0.dll....
Can anyone help? Maybe a link/guide for Flashtool?
EDIT 2: Ok, now I'm totally frustrated(and SCARED)... Stayed up all night and found NO solution. Tried LGMDP too, but cannot find a workaround...I tried either in Emergency Download Mode or in JB with no solution.... Is there any device compatible with e615 that i can use from LGMDP's devices??? KDZ still gives me the "1002" Error(Except of V20 Firmware).........
Am I at the wrong forum btw?*

KDZ Updater - Error 1002
Finally fixed it!!!
I installed downgraded CrossModel Firmware, and now my E615 has a E615 Official Rom.
As I said on the first post, there was only one firmware that worked and got installed with the KDZ Updater tool.(The v20b-for E610 - Europe) , so I downloaded the firmware i wanted to install, and "tricked" the PC into, thinking that it installed the 20b.
I don't know if that issue happened only to me only, but IF someone has the same problem another time, it will maybe work for him too. Or maybe it will be possible solution to everyone flashing a wrong Firmware..!
The thing is , I noticed that the KDZ Updater everytime it wanted to install a KDZ, it extracted it as a .DZ file at the "LGMOBILEAX" folder located in C/ProgramData folder.(In Windows XP it's in C:\Documents and Settings\<your account name>\Application Data\)
To fix the "Lparam 1002 Error"(Stop on 4% of update tool or crash error in KDZ updater ) I did the following steps:
1. Installed correct drivers from LG mobile tool to be sure my phone was recognized.
2. Moved battery out(Optional, by I prefer it if it's possible).
3. Entered Emergency Download Mode(By pressing the Volume-Down button while connecting the phone with the PC).
4. Extracted the -working-E610/V20.kdz and the E615/ V10.kdz with the Rom Converter Tool made by jes0411 (Original Post HERE), and renamed the extracted E615v10.dz same as E610v20.dz.
5. I started the KDZ update, choosing the working V20, and when the e610v20.dz file was extracted, I replaced it immediately with the (now renamed as "e610v20.dz") E6150v10.dz.
EDIT: If you are too scared of replacing files during the procedure, just wait until the update stops and ask you to restart. You can replace then it then.
Wierd issue from LG, but it worked for me!

Just to add that in my case the first time I made the process the device stayed at the LG logo,, tried a hard reset without results, so I choose another ICS working KDZ file and made a second flash.... A succesfuly second one!!.

man i have lg e610 ..i upgraded to stupid jelly bean rom which hwave many bugs ..i wnated to downgrade back to the stock rom so i downloaded it from the lg website and when i try to flash it using kdz it keep telling me wparam 1000 lparam 1002 error and closes :S i hate my mobile now and want to return to the stock rom can you help me ?

You upgraded via KDZ Updater? Or by the in-phone updater?
If you upgraded via KDZ, you follow the same steps as the second post. The .dz files that you will need to replace are in the c://appdata/lgmobileax folder (on Windows 7 and with "show hidden files and folders" option ON).
If you didn't update via the LG KDZ tool , you just have to find a working (one that can get installed) firmware from HERE. I think it's better to download a Jelly Bean(V20) one, since you wont have problem installing it propably.
Try, the things above, follow the steps on second post carefully and tell me what happened.

i have updated through kdz and i do the same steps as i updated but it gives me errors ..i will try the way you mentioned in post two ...its too complicated when i read it i didnt understand anything but i will try and tell you if i need assistance ..thank you mate

How to stop the process when flashing P705: when dz generated , unplug the usb cable, & replace the DZ of E612 with same name of DZ of P705.

Hey guys,
Please help me out. I have an E615 that I wrongly flashed with with an E610 ROM using the KDZ Updater. I'm trying to use your process to get it back to the stock ROM but i have a problem, whenever I try to copy the renamed E615 file after extraction I get the message that the file is still in use and cannot be replaced. How do i work around this? Please help, I'm pretty desperate here

Hey moulwxtos,
I managed to figure it out. The problem was with the version of KDZ updater I was using. For some reason I couldn't replace the renamed .dz file when using the original KDZ Updater because it kept giving me something about permission errors. When i changed to the KDZ Updater with offline fox (UpTestEX_mod2_marwin) it worked flawlessly. My phone's back to normal. Many thanks mate

4. Download a firmware stock version V10x_00 compatibly with your Phone ( From lg-firmwares)
5. With LG Flash Tool 2004 do downgrade from V20 to version Base V10, you just have to choose the V10x_00.kdz
6. I started the KDZ update NORMALLY and just Wait.
maybe later you can install the version V20D
Hey guys,
I recently rooted and flashed my LG G2 D801 to the Dirty Unicorns 4.4.4 along with the JellyBean BaseBand (since I was on T-Mobile KitKat before).
I noticed that the usb connection to the PC wasn't working after the flash and thought I didn't properly clear everything. So I tried to flash the rom again only to end up clearing the internal data as well which had the rom on it. Now my phone is Bricked and I can't upload anything because the phone won't show up in Windows or Linux.
I CAN still however go into Download Mode and TWRP Recovery.
Tried to install the universal LG United Mobile Driver, phone still won't show up on PC.
Been scouring forums for a solution for a couple days but still can't find anything that will fix the issue.
What else can I do!?
Try this I was in your same situation and have D-801 and bricked my phone like 2 times(messing with it).
Just follow all the instructions from the site below and it should work.

Tried the first KDZ method first and tool said phone wasn't connected.
Switched to TOT method and Device manager didn't list my phone so I can't change to COM41.
This is even though I uninstalled the LG Drivers and re-installed them...
Download everything from the post itself, even the drivers and download the KitKat July 31 KDZ. Put phone in download mode and follow directions. Only 1st mode worked for me. So I suggest you try it a few times...

Hey guys, so ended up solving my issue around the phone not being recognized by the PC. Well, I decided today that I would try a different USB cord and whaddyaknoww the PC finally recognize/install the drivers so I could use the Flash tool with the KDZ method. :victory:

First I Rooted the device, everything was OK- phone works...
Than I decided to burn STOCK ROM , i used LG Flash Tool 2014
Flash was 100% success, no error
After Device finish boot,
In the first Welcome screen (where you choose language)
I cannot touch the screen, everywhere i click (touch) the screen it seems like i touch somewhere else....
I cannot proceed forward from the welcome screen
The phone does not respond to my touch.... broken
The phone goes into Download mode, and quite strange- though i flah unrooted Stock Rom - it still writes that the phone is rooted.....
I tried to flash 5 different ROM (kdz file), None of them helped...same problem for each KDZ
I tried to flash using Win 8.1 , and Win7 ...same thing..touch not working after boot finished.....
I found a similart problem with no solution:

You have a refurb and a different model. Check my post here. You need to open your phone, you either have the D800 or D801. Flash that ROM, and you wil be fine.

It was in Genuine box, with Genuine Chrager (and even manual)
Though it might be fraud...
I talked to the seller, and i am sending it back to him

so i decided to open my LG G2 to find out which exact model it is, and what i found is LS980 instead of D802.
but when i try to flash it with .tot files with LG flashtool v1.81, but i always got [Download FAIL!!] Check DLL or BIN file.
i also tried to flash it with some KDZ files like (D80210B_00, D80210F_00) i got 100% success but stuck at 1st welcome screen too.
i tried to look for KDZ file for the LS980 version but i can't any, so can someone please help me out here, please?
Would it work if i flash it with KDZ if i can find the LS980 KDZ-file for it?
i hope someone can help me please...

You can flash with the TOT, you just need to edit the TOT file in a Hex editor and change the model to what you have (LS980). Look at my post here on how to do that.
I am not a dev or expert,I am just a regular guy who is suffering after buying franken D802.while trying to fix it,I have read a lot and saw that 70% users can't get there phone back.And TOT hex editing seems pretty hard to me as I could never pass previousload error.
So lets start from the beginning. I bought a D802,then I tried upgrading it by D802 kdz.now the phone has
1.No IMEI
2.bad touchscreen.
3.internal storage or MTP isn't shown on PC.
4.etc.
Now let's start.
1.open up the phone,see what's written in the motherboard.most of the time it's D800.
2.then get an OTG mouse and try to root it via apps like kingroot ,stumproot etc.because PC rooting method with IOroot doesn't work most of the time.
And don't worry if it shows error,keep trying.
Important:
*it's not possible sometimes to download apps via WiFi.I don't know why.if that happens,try installing them from a pendrive connecting via OTG HUB.
*If apps never gets installed,disable Verify Apps from settings>security
3.after rooting,change the model number and all D802 to your model(D800 in my case) via editing build.prop with any apps like es file explorer or build prop editor.
4.reboot device and see if software version,and model number changed.
5.flash D800 or your TOT or KDZ without any editing,from download mood.if your download mood shows secure boot error,use SRK tools to fix it,and SELECT D802,again SELECT D802 in SRK tools.
Because if you choose your model,like D800,your phone will go in fastboot mood.
Bingo!maybe your G2 is back! ✌?

I don't think you have to shorten pins if you have fastboot!
What's your phone shown while connected to fastboot mood in PC?

Oh I had the exact same problem! ?
Uninstall all drivers,then installed updated LG drivers.and then install PDAnet.
Look at device manager.It should show your device as ADB interface or something and your phone should have a new line "fastboot processing commands"....

Open up the motherboard and see what's written there.
But most probably you have D800.
And if that is the model,here you go for the Tot.

So lets start from the beginning. I bought a D802,then I tried upgrading it by D802 kdz.now the phone has
1.No IMEI
2.bad touchscreen.
3.internal storage or MTP isn't shown on PC.
4.etc.
Now let's start.
1.open up the phone,see what's written in the motherboard.most of the time it's D800.
2.then get an OTG mouse and try to root it via apps like kingroot ,stumproot etc.because PC rooting method with IOroot doesn't work most of the time.
And don't worry if it shows error,keep trying.
Important:
*it's not possible sometimes to download apps via WiFi.I don't know why.if that happens,try installing them from a pendrive connecting via OTG HUB.
*If apps never gets installed,disable Verify Apps from settings>security
3.after rooting,change the model number and all D802 to your model(D800 in my case) via editing build.prop with any apps like es file explorer or build prop editor.
4.reboot device and see if software version,and model number changed.
5.flash D800 or your TOT or KDZ without any editing,from download mood.if your download mood shows secure boot error,use SRK tools to fix it,and SELECT D802,again SELECT D802 in SRK tools.
Because if you choose your model,like D800,your phone will go in fastboot mood.
Bingo!maybe your G2 is back!

my touch is not working properply. so, how can i change model number any other solution?
what laf, recovery,boot and aboot img
what type of laf.img, boot.img and recovery.img i use for my lg g2.
when i open it i saw d800 AT&T near processor over a sink of processor.
so what type of file i flash to my device to get correct download mode.
the problem which happen's to me is this.
my device was on KITKAT when i try to update my device to lollypop using lg support tool (auto update using lg support tool to latest android version) after that i got no imei, no baseband and bad touch screen than i flash kdz file but same happend no imei,no baseband and badtouch.than i try to flash using TOT method and i wipe out everything.so know i try pin's touching method on which i get qhsusb mode and i am able to flash different img files.but i don't know which version of files i use..do you know than please help me specify the correct version that i flash and get download , recovery all at the same time than i will flash 10d or 10o ROM using TOT method.
but first i need to fix download mode (i don't know which img files i use).

Try laf.img,boot.img of D802 if you used D802 as the model to update to lolipop.this will fix download mode.

The other solution is you have to edit the hex of D800 TOT file,which I could never succeed at.

My phone is a D800 in inside but i bought it as a D802 and after software update all those creepy things happened.... can you please briefly what i need to do to get it back?
