@OP it will be a good practice if youll be more specific with your thread title something like "News for Unlocking/Relocking Bootloader". Some people is already talking about SE Unlocker so you might want to read it and post this news there

this will not work i think......

Hi this is not about surprises and its for the purpose to know the intention of this thread.
To clear your thoughts;
Features:

- Automatically get the unlock code from Sony Ericsson website within 10 seconds after entering the IMEI code.
- Automatically fully unlock the bootloader without the need of any command line.
- Support flashing .IMG boot file, .SIN kernel to change the kernel to install CWM or root the phone with the corresponding IMG file.
- Support flashing .FTF file with Flashtool core libs

Our phone is with 2010 line. But the real Problem is people get a hardbrick on 11w29+ as stated in Hard Brick warning. Well it takes some guts for people to try this if you want.

I don't think it's working for 11w29+. Maybe.

OP of that thread made a mistake. It is only for 2011 and 2012 phones.
If you want to unlock the BL of 2011 and 2012 devices the official way, you have to go to http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/, enter IMEI, get code, and then do something with it D). And this is what this tool does. It does it automatically, it sends IMEI to http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/, gets unlock code and unlocks the BL. It's just more comfort way, you just have to enter IMEi and it will do everything automatically. And it is only for 2011 and 2012 phones. This has been discussed many times...

I think that it maybe work for all sony device, but i didn't try yet...!! who want to try??? here from original thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1794800<br />

Ah now I see you flashed your phone to "death". It seems your nv_data.bin is corrupt. If you have no backup you are out of luck. (nv_data.bak or .nv_data.bak)
Here are the instruction how to rebuild your file if you have a bak file.

Please search the forum. There is someone there that can rebuild it for you. I suppose he cannot disclose the method due to the forum policy (something regarding changing/setting IMEI).
There is always a way
If that is not possible, then, there are sites that you can BUY the unlock code for your phone given the IMEI.

...6 our ago I was in the same point.

And now Phone Works like Fresh New

[PATCH] Old Bootloader [USB DOWNLOAD HACK] READ!!!

Hey guys, on the the forums!
I'm here today, to "show" you a small hack, for the SGS II!
All you need, are a few things, and then we can get started.
But, let me tell you, what I'm trying to expain;
If you are a person, that is new to flashing, then you might find this especially interesting, because this hack, lets you flash as many custo things, as you want, but the flash-counter does not increase.
As an example, I flash my phone, near-to every few days, because I test new and custom kernels. So, I found this hack, and it works!
So, let's get on with the tutorial!
First; the things you will need.
1. My custom Odin. (Because then, it's easier to explain...)
2. A USB Download-mode Jig/Dongle.
3.The Update-package.
Tutorial:
Turn your phone OFF, and plug in the USB Jig/Dongle. Once in download mode, take the Jig/Dongle out, and plug in the USB cable, in to your computer (and phone). Now open Odin, and extract the update-package.
In Odin, you will find buutons, called " Bootloader" and "PDA", and a checkbox, named "Update phone's Bootloader".
Clcik on "Bootloader" and select:"GT-I9100_OLD_BOOTLOADER" now click on Open. Back in Odin, click on "PDA" and select the file named: "GT-I9100_counter_patch".
Now, once you have made sure, that the checkboxes "Auto reboot device" and "F. Reset Time" are checked, just click on "Start flash" and wait for your device to reboot.
Now, flash Siyah-Kernel.
You flash this, by clicking the File named "Siyah2.tar" in the "PDA" menu....
After the flashing has finished, go back to your download mode: (Three-button-combo or CWM app way) And you will notice; that it still says
"Custom Binary Download: No.
Binary: Samsung Official"
If you liked my tutorial, please thanks me.
If you think, I could do something better, tahn message me.
Happy flashing!
Edit: The reason I said: "A Download-Mode-Jig is needed!" Is because you are probably new to flashing, so if you close Odin by accident, you will need the Jig, to unbrick our device.
And, incase you do something wrong, you will also need the Jig, incase it counted, where you flashed Siyah.
Sorry for not saying his earlier.
It's noted for next time!
Hi, what's the difference to : intratech,
besides flashing custom rom?
Does it influence the counter somehow?
Anyone can confirm this really works?
And why he says u need jig when u can boot into download mode without jig to flash the bootloader and patch?

Because it's easier to get into the bootloader the first time with the Jig/Dongle, and if it fails, you will still need the Jig/Dongle to reflash...
And, incase you accidently do something to the phone, during the flash -process, you will need the Jig, incase of a brick...

Yes, it does. It stops the counter from counting. So, basicly, the hacked Bootloader, tells the counter: "This is a stock ROM, if you believe it, or not. So Say it's stock, or else!"
Even if it's custom.

Nice
But frankly i will not risk flashing the bootloader now(the first one to be flashing)
And change the title to "Flash custom kernel without increase in binary counter"
EDIT: Are you f**king kidding me?One star?
If you are too scared, to flash the Bootloader first, then just do the Patch. Then the bootloader, that way, you get a feeling for it.
But, trust me, I've done this on quite a few phone's before posting. It works just amzingly. But when updating the phone, you may need to flash the Bootloader and patch again. I've not tried that yet. As there are no Updates for my GS II at the moment....
While there do appear to be differences between Odin executables (I personally wouldn't even think about using it because of my next statement), both of the Sbl.bin files in your archive are binary identical to each other and to the one in Intratech's thread.

No offense to familyguy59 (great show by the way) i know who's guide i would follow if i ever wanted to reset my binary counter. Now let us see who i would choose.
Familyguy59 that has only few posts or Intratech who has not only a whole thread with guides and providing stock official roms but look what he also has done for the community by what he does and what he provides.
So i know where i would put my money at. No offense again to familyguy59 i am sure your hack probably does work but like i said i know who's guide i would choose

Not to be rude or anything,
I don't get what you mean by Linux freak (you don't need Linux to compare hashes) . It is pretty much impossible for two files to have the same CRC-32, MD5 and SHA-1 hashes. I've also checked them in a HEX editor and even still they are the same.
Also when you say you "modded" odin, have you just changed the text in resource hacker to make some stuff n00b firendly?

Bravia Engine is lost when unlocking any Xperia with it, so You may be right.
They have some innovative features packed into their new camera and that could be the reason.
Has anybody tried to check if another camera softwre can still reach the hardware?
Just backup TA partition and restore after unlocking.

Seems like a bug to me, as this doesn't fit with Sonys previous strategy when it comes to bootloader unlocking.
Probably the camera firmware simply fails to load completely when the Bionz-key is missing, there's likely a fallback-algorithm in place already that simply fails to get loaded in place of Bionz.
Hi everyone, so I am a bit confused here and have a few questions, after unlocking will I be able to restore TA partition ?, and (restoring TA partition) will that keep the bootloader still unlocked ??, thanks.

Yes you will be able to restore your TA partition after unlocking.
But the point here is Sony's bootloader unlocking tool has not been officialy updated to support the Z1, yet, so we don't know for sure, andd users are using it under their own risk.
.
Please be sure to backup TA!
:/ looks like its better to wait for the official solution for unlocking.
Hope that SONY give solution as soon as possible!
Im confused now, so can I UNLBL?
Hi all! So is it sure that I'll be able to ULBL later? I haven't bought my Z1 yet, and now I'm searching for all the bugs it has, and all things, comparing it to LG G2 (but the G2 will only be available a month later here, so I want to buy the Z1, but if I can't unlock it I won't :/)
There is a warning on the official sony site regarding the camera problem. I hope they'll solve this issue. until then I keep my hox.

Xperia Z3+ Current Root Status for Noobs

Hello All,
With all the chatters about rooting available for both Xperia z3+ dual and single sim, I thought it would be appropriate to start a thread where noobs may be able to get information regarding the root status of the phone.
Can someone please explain to me (and other noobs, if there are any,) what is the current status? I'm particular interested in the E6533 Dual Sim version with Build Number 32.1.A.1.185. since that is the model of my phone. If there is a tutorial I would be forever grateful if someone can be kind enough to link it here. Thank you all so much, this community is awesome!
I have that phon
I have that phon and I try all rooted kernels but mobile hangs and random reboot I return it to factory reset by flashboot and work some time good then make reboot it seems the developers don't work on dual sim phone sorry for my bad English
So essentially no root for the dual sim? :'(
That would be great if someone writes some "How-to..." Root and Backup and wth are those "different partitions", i think you should backup some of them before doing anything else. I am not a beginner with Android and Rooting and so on, but i come from HTC and this is my first Sony Phone and its really different. I know that there are severall Threads about this, but all the informations are split into a dozend threads and if you are a beginner with Sony its really hard to understand what is the "actually" best you can do.
Great topic, I would also like to know how to. Dont want to lose some goodies such as the excellent noise cancelation and the cameras many functions
Guys, that topic we have already had a number of times. Please use the search function and find (also for the Dual-SIM):

That is basically the problem. These "tutorials" are hidden in several threads and not visible to everybody. Of course you can use the search function and it's highly encouraged to do that. But at the same time we need somebody that has successfully rooted this phone to write a proper decently up-to-date "how to" thread so that everybody knows that they can find the necessary steps to root/backup/etc. their device successfully. Although, OP says noob friendly, I think it's also enough if anyone can follow the steps without hassle and getting lost quickly (understandable = decent English). I mean, I don't force anybody to do this, but it would be highly appreciated by many other users if somebody could take the time to create it.

Again, it does already exist but yes, a little bit of effort is required. Just follow...
Step 1:

Step 2:

Easy enough?

So step one doesnt work, it says device not working.
Would appreciate it too if someone could make an easier tutorial. but i guess the support for z3+ is just not there.

Hello All,
With all the chatters about rooting available for both Xperia z3+ dual and single sim, I thought it would be appropriate to start a thread where noobs may be able to get information regarding the root status of the phone.

I have successfully rooted the phone with TA backup, recovery and root for a few weeks now and I have zero problems. I wrote a guide for tablet z4 in its general forum. The procedure is a bit different for z3+. If there is a need for it and I have time today I will do the same for this phone and post it in the general forum.
I posted a complete guide in the general forum.

That is correct. Please follow my guide exactly as it is outlined in http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z4/general/guide-safe-bootloader-unlock-restore-t3386915
I have "bootloader unlock allowed : No", it's keep "No" even i deactive that "My Xperia" application, do i need remove google account in setting ( i mean android account) ?
p/s : sorry for bad english

We need a proper root, unlock/relock flash guide.

I see plenty of people asking for rooting help etc. I think we need a proper guide on how to backup TA partitions on M & N. How to restore. How to flash recovery and kernels and in which order. Which tools do you need and where do you get them and when everything is set and done, how to flash a rom.
A step-by-step guide.
I see answers like "just unlock and do this and that" which isn't answering peoples questions. And the result is just people asking "and how do i do that?" and the loop of replies with no content continues. I'd be more than happy to help, but havn't had the device for long, nor have i done anything to it yet. So i'm hardly the right person to do so, yet.
Why are you speaking for these 'plenty of people'? I don't see anyone asking, it's only you because you don't put effort into looking up and reading and you want everything to be served in your plate. Everything is very well written if you TRY to search for it.

Not true! For example, you can see 3 posts in a row asking for help (including mine) and noone answers. There ARE plenty of people who need help. And noone is helping. This is a useful post.

nobody is helping because there is plenty of information available on the xda forum. You'll just need to search read and learn.

If you read the question I posted, I said that for some people the information is not very clear and there are some things that haven't been specified. Especially for the xperia X, why are there so little threads and mods for it? Because it's new? Do you think there will be more mods and stuff in the future?

You should TRY and read the OP again, you clearly didn't get it.
And why i'm speaking for "those" people. Because no one else is. The difference is that i don't have any difficulties doing so, it doesn't bother me. You could've spend your time more productive coming up with suggestions to a possible solution, eliminating those "i need help rooting/flashing/blabla" threads. Whereas you choose the easy way and just be a prick about it.
you choose the easy way
I don't understand what's so wrong with helping some people out..

Here you can find unofficial twrp for xperia x:
http://www.infectedbuilds.net/downloads/suzu/twrp/
Install with fastboot command:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
After flashing this twrp you probably cant access data partion in twrp, to fix this boot into twrp, do a factory whipe and format data partition.
If you want to root flash latest SuperSU: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu/stable-2016-09-01supersu-v2-78-release-t3452703
If you want a modded kernel with DM-verity, RIC off, DRM fix, SuperSU & Busybox download this tool and follow instructions: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xp...oot-automatic-repack-stock-kernel-dm-t3301605

Thanks a lot!
In the future I will buy this phone but now without it I am unable to do some tutorial. I wish I had this phone right now because this phone is awesome and some days ago I destroyed my M4 Aqua. I am into unlocking bootloader, backing up and restoring DRM keys, flashing recovery and making working SuperSU. I did tutorial for M4 Aqua on my Czech forum but I wish I could it here on XDA.

okay, so I can spend some time to write a noob friendly guide on saturday including information about things that troubled me too
=)) finally, I will give you a guild for step by step:
A. backup and restore:
1. fall backup to MM with flashtools (find script for your device)
2. https://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/universal-dirtycow-based-ta-backup-t3514236
3. read inside topic to find restore code.
B. unlock:
1. go to this site https://developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader/unlock-yourboot-loader/ to get unlock code
2. turn on develop option (gg please) turn on oem unlock in this
3. follow sony intruction.
C Relock
relock ( use restore code in A) after that use flashtools to flash any firmware you want (like fall back MM)
ps: it is just a summary because you can fix any problem with gg in some other android devices.
ps2: dont use only one device forum to find your answer, try to find it from others. Because sony devices have same problem when flash OS )) or backup DRM and most them was answered so no one wanna write again again about same problem.
ps3: find to learn ^^.
