It's still slated for first half 2010 (according to the sprint forums), but the last post on twitter said early first half 2010, which would technically give them about 10 days.
They ARE still planning to push out 2.1 to the Hero and Moment.

I want that damn update just so I can have a ROM without the audio loss that keeps happening! I can't get away from it no matter where I go.
Sprint is the undisputed king of dropping the ball on updates, had the Hero not been rooted before my 30 days was up I would have gone to Tmo.

I kind of care because I would like to see an Official 2.1 ROM, this leak doesn't let me send emails from exchange just reply.
Your title is a little misleading...
like another member said before me, the admins did not say that. all they said was they don't know..
No one at the BAW forums has come forward and said "this update is not happening May 7."
This is very telling because in the past, they have directly refuted most of the rumored dates.

Will England (Wengla03) at BAW is usually well informed on these matters and was always forthcoming with info on Sprint's last red headed stepchild (Instinct) in the past. I trust his info over any other "leak", though I do hope he is wrong.

Its really funny over there on sprints forums.. Someone made an off topic "joke" post and everyone joined it and was just talking. One of the admins got her pantys in a bunch and actually deleted peoples post that were off topic. Yet there was no topic but joking. She locked the thread for it starting to get off topic. Even wengla the admin joined in and said something before it was locked. Its like all the admins over there are so desperate to get action and constantly delete and end threads.
And i remember going threw all the instinct updates.. They were at lease muchhh better at setting general times (within the week) of when an update would come out. If it got moved back they would come out and say, its been moved back, expect it on this date.
The hero update, Sprint has been just simply terrribblee at keeping the customers in the loop.

I would have gotten it ages ago if they stocked the gray version... By the way, did it come with a european-standard charger?
They include the converter and a separate charger. Ive already rooted it and flashed zedomaxs rom. See my posts in q&a section for some issues I've found

I got my Note from Mobicity around six months ago and haven't regretted it for a minute. Delivery was fairly quick and it doesn't hurt that it is the German version so I've got all the official updates earlier than most. Australian is ignored by too many manufacturers and we get ripped off on the pricing for those devices we do end up with. Buying internationally is worth it. The Note 10.1 is definitely on my wish list.
Was hopeful that it was lollipop, but it's not.
Pretty sure lollipop will be a much bigger download since it's a major overhaul.
Cool story welcome to NK2 aka last week
Since I just got my new GN2 on Tuesday, the OTA update I received looks like it took me from version NIE to NK2. I have since rooted using CFAutoroot.
lollipop won't be until February and it will be version 5.0.1, I think samsung doesn't want to take 5.0 because some of the problems it has.
There were rumors that note 4 and edge might get skipped. I will link the article when i find it again.

Where did you get your information from because I just looked on a few credible sites like phonearena.com, androidauthority.com & androidpolice.com and I do not see any mention of Sprint Note 4 getting the official Lollipop update.
I know the T-Mobile Note 3 recently got the update. Maybe Sprint just got the update for the Note 3 as well.

At this point, a port isnt even necessary. By the time it was done, we'd have Official already. In the past, there have only been ports of international versions since they come so early.
Official T Mobile Lollipop shouldn't be too long off now.

Perhaps, but the tracking site on T-Mobile still shows the update in "Manufacture Development" So, it hasn't even started the T-Mobile testing process yet.

I doubt that site is accurate.
That isn't that accurate. It says the Note 3 is still in testing and it dropped yesterday. I'm not sure how often they update the site.

it also showed the g3 as the same status as note 4, but my wife's friend has a g3 with lollipop on it via tmo so that page is wrong af

Advised that I was curious how and why it showed still in manufacturer development whereas many international carriers as well as Sprint have the update pushed. Explained that it would stand to reason that it shouldn't show that status. The agent went on to state that T-Mobile is working on finishing it up now.
Okay, so, this tells me one of a few things. 1 - Their site is not updated and T-Mobile has it or 2 - They have yet to receive it from the manufacturer. I would have to lean towards option 1 but that is purely speculation based on nothing more than stupid hope! However, their choice of wording has me interested and hopeful. They would not give any sort of a date, only to say that they were trying to make sure it was running smoothly.

Oh, and one more thing I thought about. Some of you veterans around here have a much better idea about this than myself. Is it possible they are nearly ready but don't want to dedicate the bandwidth to pushing it to both the Note 3 (which as I understand was just pushed) AND the Note 4 at the same time (the mentality being them not wanting THAT many users all pulling an update at the same time, slowing things to a crawl)?

I doubt that is the case. If memory serves me right, the note 3 and the gs4 both receive kitkat at the same time. I personally think it just arrived late for them and they were not done with it in time. If you look at it, only sprint got the note 4 update out right now. Verizon nor ATT made any noise on it...and verizon was first to drop lollipop in the US with the Gs5

Your Wife's friend must have a custom Lolli Rom, because Tmo did not push it out for the G3 yet. Either way, the page is inaccurate.

Yep. It's really disappointing.
Why? Because f**k us, that's why!
Likely just an issue of them taking their sweet-assed time putting their bloatware applications into the firmware, and I'm sure they've been extra slow after the official 7.0 worldwide rollout started and was halted for a whole like 2-3 days after a couple of bugs surfaced.
I always get a new phone by the time Verizon gives me an update. I know someone that got nougat on his T-Mobile GS7 Edge and someone that got her GS7 update last night on Sprint.

This! Get it together verizon, every other S7 is getting the update why aren't we? Kinda furstrating and makes me want to leave verizon or starting purchasing unlocked models so I can root them and get updates on a regular basis instead of waiting for Verizon to release an official.

My wife just got her first smartphone and it was the Droid Moto Z Force and it already has Nougat on it. Jealous! That thing is monstrous in its size too. Bigger than my LG G3 was!
Stuck on buggy beta
It would be nice to receive the final update after being stuck on the beta for months, where every time my phone shuts off it resets all my settings and themes. But oh well, I guess Verizon just doesn't care about their customers all that much.

That beta was unbearable. Constantly had issues with text messages on it for some reason. They would keep failing to send and I would miss messages from people as well. Very annoying.
