Touchscreen firmware upgrade - Ideos S7 General

After performing a "capacitive touchscreen firmware upgrade" the touchscreen in my ideos s7 are rotated by 90 degrees, the tablet works flawlessly(gps, wifi, phone, etc.) but the touchscreen its rotated this behavior it`s very annoying I've tried 4 different roms (the original one of my tablet movistar_mexico 2.1, Singapore 2.1, bestbuy 2.2 and Norwegian 2.2), in the dmesg i see an estrange behavior
adxl345: probe of 0-0053 failed with error -1616275424
this error code is by far an overfloat but i can be sure what it means.
If anyone can provide the default driver or any information about this problem I would appreciate

after analyze the kernel-2.6.29-S7-Emotion\kernel\drivers\input\touchscreen folder i found several drivers, but only those seems to work in the device
msm_touch-s70.c
msm_touch.c
msm_ts.c
but i dont know how to make a package of those drivers any help will be appreciated

[Q] Bluetooth Keyboard (HID profile?)

Hi,
My brother's desperate to get a bluetooth keyboard working with his HTC Hero (UK). Currently runs the stock HTC 2.1-update1.
It's easy enough to pair them (we've tried two) but they remain paired but unconnected. With my Galaxy S (stock 2.2.1) they work fine. I gather this is because the Hero doesn't support the SPP or HID profiles.
We've also tried most of the apps we can think of: Keypro (sits on 'connecting'), Blueinput (force-closes when you click to select they keyboard), the JP one (sits on 'connecting'). Looking at the forum for keypro it looks like they're aware of this issue and haven't yet been able to correct it.
I've heard rumours that people running custom ROMs (eg based on Cyanogenmod) have been able to get keyboards working.
So - has anyone managed to get a bluetooth keyboard working with one of these devices, and if so how? Would prefer a solution that keeps Sense installed but he says he'll let me go to vanilla android.
Thanks in advance.
For the benefit of future users (and because the forum seems to be littered with questions like this!) we managed to get it working by installing FroydVillain 1.7.2.
Main problem was the lack of a flash_image binary to install the nandroid recovery image, but we copied over one we downloaded and it worked without issue.
Keyboard was recognised immediately and works fine as an HID device.
That's interesting! But could you detail, what were the steps of this successful installing? I also have an old bt keyboard, which I'm unable to use with the hero... Thank's if you can explain any more...
Mostly we used the instructions from http:##www|villainrom.co.uk/vBwiki/index.php/Installing_Custom_ROMs , though with a change for flashing the rom as the binary wasn't available on his phone.
More specifically - use the Froydvillain download mirrors at http:##www|villainrom.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?3698 and the wiki page above, and download:
Froydvillain 1.7.0
Froydvillain 1.7.1 upgrade
Froydvillain 1.7.2 upgrade
Universal Androot
AmonRA Recovery image
Stick everything onto the SD card - either using a USB cable and your phone, or we just used a USB card reader.
Install Universal Androot. We used HTC sync and just double-clicked on the .apk but you could also use a file manager (the wiki recommends Astro).
Install Android Terminal Emulator from the market.
Root the phone using Androot (he was running the latest 2.1 so we used the 2.0-2.2 root button).
The next bit is where we differed from the wiki instructions. They tell you to type:
Code:
su
flash_image recovery /sdcard/[I]<name of recovery image file>[/I]
reboot recovery
We found that there was no flash_image binary on my brother's phone (the error read 'flash_image: not found' so downloaded one - there's a copy at http:##cyanogen-files.carneeki.net/flash_image.zip ; I can't remember exactly where we got the one we used.
The instructions we found with the binary suggested something complicated involving remounting the system partition (it's normally read-only so you can't copy the binary there). Equally, you can't run it directly from the sd card without remounting as it's set not to allow executables. We just ran it from the data partition:
Copy the flash_image file to the sd card and use:
Code:
su
cp /sdcard/flash_image /data/flash_image
chmod 700 /data/flash_image
/data/flash_image recovery /sdcard/[i]<name of recovery image file>[/i]
sync
Then just power off the phone and turn it back on with the 'Home' button pressed. You should find yourself in recovery mode using your new recovery image.
We then used Backup/Restore > Nand backup to backup the current ROM to the SD card. Then from the Wipe menu we ran through each option in turn to ensure a fully fresh setup (I gather this isn't essential, but is advised). Lastly we used Flash zip and sequentially flashed 1.7.0, 1.7.1, then 1.7.2.
Then we rebooted, and waited... and waited... and waited... The VillainROM logo with the scary red-eyed android pulsated for about 30 minutes before I gave up and removed the battery. I took out the SD card and turned the phone back on; this time it was only a few minutes before we found ourselves with a fully functional (and factory-fresh) phone.
We put the sd card back in and set up the phone as normal; then turned on bluetooth and paired the phone with the keyboard (with ours it was a matter of typing a PIN on the keyboard and pressing enter, and duplicating the number on the phone) - it was instantly recognised as an HID device and worked perfectly!
Hope that's of some use - as I mentioned before it's essentially the same as the standard instructions except for the step involving the missing flash_image binary.
[edit: sorry, I'm not allowed to post links it seems! You'll have to cut and paste, and replace the '##' with '//', and the '|' with '.']
Thank you, you were very kind! But it seems basically only a normal fv installation on a rooted phone... Only I become a bit confused with all the /data/system operations... I can try installing fv 1.72, but at the moment I don't want to give back my floyo 1.20, which is more responsive (in my phone), but gives no sinal of accepting to connect the paired bt...
Yes - it was just a new ROM install which did the job - only the lack of flash_image and the lengthy bootup before we removed the sd card confused us so hopefully it's useful to someone trying the same.
I've not heard of Floyo - but the reason I decided to try FroydVillain was that it was CyanogenMod-based rather than HTC sense based as I heard that HTC don't include bluetooth HID support in their ROMs.
The CyanogenMod changelog http:##wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Changelog suggests that HID support has been included since 6.0.0 so I'd expect anything based on CyanogenMod since that should be fine. I chose FroydVillain simply because my brother's not very techy and I wanted a fairly mainstream ROM for him...
Not so simple...! Out of curiosity, I went to install froyd villain, but as I imagined the result was the same! "Paired but not connected"... It seems that when you rooted the hero, something remained in /system, no idea what was it! If a developer could read this, perhaps he could understand what happened... Floyo is simply another rom based on cm... the difference is all in the rooting process, seemingly...
Not for me
Hi Guys,
as I have been running Froyd Villain 1.7.2 for a rather long time now I thought I might give it a try. As there is an Apple Bluetooth keyboard dusting around here I had quite high hopes.
The pairing process worked well and it shows an Icon with the BT Symbol encased in Black and two arrows. In the BT settings it tells me that I am connected to a BT device, never the less, no matter what input field I choose, I cannot type on the BT keyboard. There is no other Input method I could choose from either so it's still not working for me.
Damn.
What keyboard where you using?

Major issues with Wifi & Bluetooth failure

Hi Guys, I have been having major issues since upgrading the firmware from the Kies software as a standard firmware upgrade....
Just no wifi or bluetooth as soon as you click on the buttons it reboots sometimes several times....heres a link of whats been done so far from a guy that has been helping me on the Vodafone eforum.....
http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Sams...nger-update/m-p/761803/highlight/false#M16520
Currently running
I now have Firmware 2.3.4
Baseband I9000XXJVP
Kernel 2.6.35.7. XXJVP
Gingerbread XXJVP
I hope someone can help as I am lost without my phone because thats how I get my work...
Regards Lee
Ok found this how can I put these settings on my phone.
Error initializing Wifi scan
Symptom: trying to enable wifi shows scan initialization error message.
Solution: Requires root. Remove /data/wifi/bcm_supp.conf - the file contains wifi access points definitions and will be regenerated. You'll need to re-enter pin codes for known networks.
[edit] GPS lock problems
Come on guys some one must know the answer to this, you lot can hang bells and whistles on your phones and hack NATO
find 3 file froyo tith your csc flash it via odin with pit and pick desired csc
then flas 2.3.4 from samfirmware - any problems should be gone
That's exactly what I done over the weekend went back to 2.2 and installed 2.2.1 then 2.3 etc..
Its seems to be the same faults, someone has suggested its the Antenna that's at fault
adb logcat c:\logcat.txt
produce the bug and so it restarts
ctrl+c to stop writing logcat and pm it to me
I have sent you the logcat txt as an email as it was far to big to send as a pm and I was unsure what parts were not needed...
The wifi is not mentioned but path to bus for bluetooth is a constant failure
( E/BluetoothEventLoop.cpp(125): get_adapter_path: D-Bus error: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown (The name org.bluez was not provided by any .service files)
06-14 11:27:15.546 E/BluetoothEventLoop.cpp(125): get_adapter_path: D-Bus error: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown (The name org.bluez was not provided by any .service files)
I tried to get the wifi to log but everytime the phone locked up
Thanks for taking a look at this for me...
fast google search revealed two fixes for bt:
- hard reset - *2767*3855# - this will wipe your phone stats but most probably will fix both wifi and bt
- http://blog.pfuender.net/?p=61 - this will fix bt alone
also note that adb logcat c:\logcat.txt will log everything till you stop it or phone shuts off so produce wifi bug let it do its reboot or whatever and then ctr+c
- hard reset - *2767*3855# - this will wipe your phone stats but most probably will fix both wifi and bt
Tried these already before and after I put the new software on and have just tried again no difference at all problems still exactly the same...
so pick option #2 and report
It wont connect to my pc to run catlog.
I had to download via 3G and run it on the phone from there so I can not use Ctrl+C unless you know how to bring up a window with in the samsung.
I only got the log by sending it via 3G as an email....to my desktop then copy and pasting to a notepad doc
why cant connect to pc ?
Mine works fine and the one of a friend of mine works fine too wifi and bt on xxjvp
Dont know just finishing my chores around the house and will get onto it!
as an additional after moving file mentioned in article you might want to do 'fix permissions' in cwm recovery
I am also having the same issue:
E/BluetoothEventLoop.cpp( 469): get_adapter_path: D-Bus error: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown (The name org.bluez was not provided by any .service files)
However, my wifi does work. I have a Bell Samsung Galaxy S I9000M. The XXJVP modem didn't work for me (no HSDPA), so I flashed the UGJK3 modem and my connection was back. I followed the instructions on blog.pfuender.net/?p=61, blog "Android/Milestone bluetooth not working", but my '/data/misc/bluetoothd/' directory is empty, thus cannot perform the following step:
‘mv /data/misc/bluetoothd/XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX/sdp /data/misc/bluetoothd/XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX/sdp.bak <ENTER>’
I will continue to research this issue. I only realized it this morning as an app I am working on requires Bluetooth, and logcat went nuts with error logs (shown above). I will also keep this thread updated with whatever I find.
Cheers,
vinpa.
huh that was htc desire fix =)
lulz understand this - bt should be working out of the box and is working on stock - i can also confirm that it works on cfroot as i use it flawlesly
if you got bt not working now think about what else can be not workign that you do not notice...
imho best way is to make a PROPER system install
basicly youre misising bt deamon or a start link for it = broken system
i am out of this thread, consider yourselfs helped (install stock+cfroot)
Got it working...
I first made a backup with CWM, then flashed PIT512, CODE_I9000XXJVP..., GT-I9000-CSC..., and my original modem.bin.
After it rebooted, I skipped through the setup and rebooted once more into Download mode, flashed CF-Root and then restored. Bluetooth is now functional.
Cheers,
vinpa.

[Q] [Q&A]Asus Zenfone 6 - software version change problem

hello all and thank you in advance for any tips I am clueless now:
I bought my Zenfone 6 in Singapure - it was shipped to me with weird version of software.
Any of system versions mentioned on Asus website or this forums does not match with mine.
This version of software is just awful:
1)pop-up about programs try to read contact book appear like very 5 minutes (even when the box is tick to never show this again it happens again)
2)i cannot download any android update even when I dont have newest version of the soft installed (I have 4.3 and cannot get rid of it).
3) my andorid is installing apps all by itself! (mobo market, weird games etc)
version displayed in system info:
ASUS_T00G_WW_user
9.17.40.19_20190825_7264
release keys
010175_201901130121
Update method with putting new files into phone directory then unplugging does not work at all on my phone.
When I try to sideload not even the single version of soft is compatible with mine.
I found update tool but it requires soft file to load but I did not find any in RAW format.
Droidboot: IFWI version: 63,23
Droidboot version: 21 build may 16 2014
product CN_A600CG
Can anyone help me to update this?
I am not very Android savvy. I tried to find solution on the forums but nothing works for this one.
I lost all the hope for smooth working phone.
bump - any help?

do you manage to repair Windows dude
hire is all files from Voyo vbook V3 drivers, you can also with google translate use 4pda forum find many answers
I managed to get the drivers from their website after a lot of struggle. I uploaded them to mega just in case others need them:
http s://me ga.nz/#!hVB0Ea6Y (apparently I need a min number of posts to put links)
The decryption key is the following: !9fQTHbIb-H812jw2MwVOAPZoZvDGKuywgiRBkjkOwEE
The wifi driver is giving some security warning when you try to install it. I already had it working yesterday (using other drivers I found) so I decided to not install it when I saw the warning. The rest of them made my camera and touchscreen work properly though so they are good.

Thanks, worked fine
Hi, I've recently bought the core m3 version off Gearbest, but ran into a ton of issues out of the box. As with all chinese tablets/laptops/convertibles I buy, the first thing I did was do a Windows reset (to get rid of any potential bloatware/localization issues/ etc/). However, since the reset, I have been unable to charge the device beyond 80%, the pen that came with it is not registering any input, and the touch screen input is waaaaay off (closer to my finger at the top left corner, then deviates further off the further I get from that point).
Now, I'm unsure whether these issues existed prior to the reset, or whether they were caused by it (since I didn't really use the device long enough before the reset). The easiest way would probably be to send it back to claim warranty, but the whole claim procedure through Gearbest is a nightmare at best. I would prefer to try everything possible before actually attempting that ordeal.
I would like to try installing a fresh copy of windows over the "reset" version to see if the potential driver issues are resolved, but am unable to find the proper installer for this device from the myvoyo website. The one available is apparently for the atom x5-Z8300 version of the device, not for the core M version. I did try the drivers from the link above in this thread, but it caused a WDF_VIOLATION bsod.
tl:dr Does anyone have ANY suggestions as to what I can try to fix these issues, or potentially have a link pointing to the correct drivers/windows installer I will need to get the device back to the factory settings? (I speak neither Chinese nor Russian so the company's website and the apparently thorough 4pda forum was of limited use to me - google translate is wonky at best)
Thanks and sorry for the long rant.
WooHoo!! Thanks that fixed my touch and wifi issues!
Do not hesitate to contact them directly via e-mail (the voyo manufacturer). I just did and they seem very helpful (or I am just lucky). I am currently trying to install Android on the machine with their help. If I get all the drivers to work I will post here everything needed + instructions in case anyone wants to do it as well.

[email protected] . Contact them directly. I just did and they sent me the drivers for the cherrytrail version (though that's not exactly what I asked for). Keep your english simple and concise so they understand you. Theirs is quite bad.
Hi guys
The drivers doesn't work anymore.. someone has them?
i recently bought the voyo v3 ultrabook from gearbest and it constantly just shuts off without warning. this kills windows after a while so have reset it multiple times.
tried to return it to gearbest but the cost was like £60 and then the post office wouldnt touch it because it contained a lithium battery.
basically gave up and accepted £15 compensation from gearbest - would like to try android on this as i have some suspicion that the device could be ok. it can go for hours when windows is not fully booted ie when restoring windows so this could well be on OS thing. trying android would be a good test of this.
big waste of money and time really, note to self is only buy from local stores in the future! doh.
Voyo stays in blackscreen
Hi together,
I need your help. I have the v3 flagship with m3-6y30 and it stays in blackscreen.
I changed the win10 boot options to safe mode and now the screen stays black only. The 'caps lock' led is working. I tried to enter bios or uefi, but it does not work, or at least the screen stays black.
Next I will try to connect micro hdmi to a monitor and I hope that it will work. Another solution would be to write a new originial voyo win10 image to the m2 ssd. Could anyone provide me his ssd image? Maybe someone saved it after resetting win10? I asked voyo for that image, but they did not answer..
It would be great if someone could help me.
Regards

Could solve it. I can enter Uefi by pressing Esc and I had to use an external monitor.
hi dschingi86
i have a similar problem - I did a clean re-install of windows 10 pro and the screen stopped working. The backlight is definitely working - i can see it come on, but nothing is displayed on the screen. the screen still works for touch though.
It only displays when connected to an external monitor via hdmi.
i've tried reinstalling drivers etc, but nothing works - how do i get the screen to start working again?
How do you enter BIOS?
please help

What type of m.2 ssd drive does the Voyo v3 Pro use sata iii or pcie? What is the maximum size in gigabytes that the Voyo V3 Pro can use? Do you happen to have a image file of Windows 10 for the Voyo v3 Pro? The link to the image file on the Voyo web site no longer works.

Wifi and bluetooth fix

Hi everyone,
I would have post this in the developer section, but I'm new, so I can't. I'm asking your help because of a problem that seems to hit some xiaomi devices: wifi and bluetooth at one point don't work anymore. Sometimes they decide to work again and after a while, again, the stop working. I tried to change ROMs, the problem seemed to be fixed, but after 1/2 day it comes back. In internet there are files for fixing this specific problem, often called "wifi_and_bt_fix" and you can find them for almost all Xiaomi models. The one I need, having a Redmi 3, is the "ido" one (I can't post link, neither, being knew. But if you want I can post a link to the file I'm talking about).
You have to flash it in EDL mode. But when i try to flash it, all MIflash versions i used, kept giving me the error "0x8000ffff max buffer sector is 32". When i try a newer version of Miflash, the error changes: "index out of the limits of the array". I already tried all version of miflash, on windows 10 and windows 7. I really don't know what to try anymore.
Anybody knows what to do? If the file it's incorrect? o how to solve the main problem with wifi and bluetooth?
(sorry for my english, I'm italian)
Pardon me, don't worry about your English, it's not that bad, at least I'm still understand about your main issue
Btw, could you give us more details about:
1. The type of your phone (I assume IDO, but better to make it sure 1st).
2. The firmware used on your phone, the version of it too.
3. How do you change ROM? Have you perform clean install by deleting the system partition 1st?
From details nb.2 and 3, we could localize if the problem come from software or hardware instead (hopefully).
