I used HSPL (DFT_HSPL_WP7FG1_INSTALL) to flashe OSPL which is stock and now wanna try your (RUU_Mozart_S_HTC_Europe_5.01.401.04_5.71.09.02a_22 .51.50_RELEASE). Is this the right way to flash this rom? thanks

Hi!
So far I had RUU_Mozart_TMO_DE_1.28.111.03_5.52.09.16_22.33a.50_RELEASE in my Mozart. Now I am getting this error message (see attached screenshot). I also tried flashing an even older ROM RUU_Mozart_TMO_DE_1.09.001.16_5.50.09.15_22.23.50U_Signed_by_ansar) before flashing the Mango ROM, but it does not work. Do I first need a NoDo Update ROM?

After replacing this ModelID.fig my Mozart (originally T8699) is now T8698. Is there any way to get back my original modelid? Can someone post it here?
Also, my phone works fine, no problems, I've installed Mango RTM, few days I've updated to official Mango using Zune, and everything is OK, but I just want correct phone identification.

AND
ModelID.fig
- Download [ROM]RUU_Mozart_S_HTC_Europe_5.01.401.04_5.71.09.02a_22 .51.50_RELEASE,
unpack the file into a folder
- Add ModelID.fig to that folder

I've tested this, and it's working! Just unpack RUU_Mozart_S_HTC_Europe_5.01.401.04_5.71.09.02a_22.51.50_RELEASE and copy ModelID.fig in this folder, then run ROMUpdateUtility.exe and flash it.
After restart phone is in SPL 5.01 with Mango...

Well, I tried it. But the ModelID.fig that I have (209 KB) did not work. I am still getting the same error message. Is there any other ModelID.fig of Mozart available? Thanks again.
Have cooked this rom unlocked twice now, neither will allow .xaps to be installed- both due to maxxed developer apps even though none were installed. Chevron still shows the rom as unlocked though....very strange. Will have a look and see whats what once i get time.
Think i've found the issue, appears interop unlock doesn't work for HTC. Just flashing now if successful will upload 2moro AM.

You have to first flash 1.09 ROM. You will get an error at the end but don't worry.
After that flash the 5.01 ROM with the modelID file inside. Everything will be OK.
Any chance this rom to install with the zune?
Can you go back to an older ROM? I tried already some, but getting flash error [226] after 1%. With 4.06 this was not a problem. TIA

I just can note that radio is 5.71 instead of 5.69. on official released in Europe
Loader is 5.1 insted of 4.6

If I am testing different ROM's from various Dev, do I need to do anything to my HD2 before installing another ROM? or when you install a ROM, it essentially cleans it anyway??

A new rom is supposed to clean the old one BUT in reality it doesn't! You will have to do a Hard Reset every time you install a ROM and additionaly task29 with MTTY will be a good idea before you flash the new ROM!

it includes a radio rom image(it needs a rom of one kind or another present to work). remove the .nbh file that comes with it and replace with a radio that you know works on your device and it will work.
or you could replace the radio nbh with a splash screen nbh which means the process runs faster and you don't have to keep track of what radio you are using

Hey - im with Vodafone in the UK.
It doesnt matter what ROM you flash - it wont change your package.
Like above the minutes, texts and net usage is on your SIM card not phone.

Mate - once you flash, you wont look back at the stock rom.
Its a breath of fresh air - faster, smoother, prettier -much better!

I was gonna install HSPL first..but my SPL version is not 1.42...
1) To install this HSPL there must be SPL 1.42.0000 on your device.
Otherwise the installation will fail!
To check your SPL version, hold the Volume Down button and do a reset.
It is possible to downgrade to this SPL, by just flashing to an Official ROM
with this SPL version.
I think you can install hspl 2. Try that - it will just give you an error message if incompatible. What SPL do you have on your phone?

No, it says it is ALSO compatible with the TMo US device, but works on all. As you can see I'm not on TMobile

What hspl version do you have - check in bootloader mode - it should end in x.xx.HSPL and not in x.xx.0000.

It'll now be an English phone . You can change the Sense language if you wish.

task29 will work on any leo, you just need to be sure of what .nbh file you are using it with.
Personally i would probably use a splashscreen, cos theyre compatible with all leo's, but so long as you use a tmous radio file, that would work too.
(Tmous radios ALL have .50. in the version NEVER .51., , and don't use 2.06.50.x even though it has a 50 in the version, it is not tmous compatible.)

Problem Proforming Task29
Hi I hope some one can help me I still have some of the last rom on my phone after flashing a new rom (mainly its the first opening screen).
I downloaded the rocommend task29 file/cab did the unzip and ran it it gave me the following messages:
Cannot open C:\task29.exe
Cannot open C:\Enterbootloader.exe
Cannot open C:\ErrorBattery.fig
Cannot open C:\ErrorUSB.fig
plus a couple more what am I doing wrong?

Right-click on the file and choose Run as Admin. I had the same issue you had and when I did that it ran fine. I'm using Win7.

that's the "splashscreen" andit isn't partof the rom, task 29 or flashing other roms won't necessarily work. it occupies its own memory space, and you flash it just like radio or rom. some cooked roms and all official roms come with them built in, or you candownload and flash them yourself with customruu, and even make your own. just Google "leo hd2 splashscreen"

Thank you for that information now I am smiling from ear to ear I'v wanted my own splash but didn't think it was possible outside of cooking I will google it like you said but if I run into a problem I hope you will help me.

rename the .exe to .zip and extract
then you will find your .nbh's
one is RUU_signed.nbh and the other is SPL_signed.nbh
Sorry what i mean is from my hd 7 already found RUU and the ROM it's in the bootloader right?so how do we extract it from our device and convert it to custom like ansar ,cotulla and the rest.Seems interesting to hack or develop like them.

you can't get a rom from a wp7 phone (like you could with wm phones)
I also still don't understand what you want , al the rom's ansar has are just stock rom's.
as I see ansar only replace imfgs.bin from other stock roms so that you have different radio/spl
the only stock roms that can be modded as of now are pre/nodo roms (we have no tools to mod mango roms)
thats way ansar rom's need to be updated to mango AFTER flash.
actually i was thinking how do they create the custom rom that's all.

Seriously?...There are several tutorials (both text & videos) right here on xda & out there regarding flashing HARDSPL properly...Please try using the search function provided on xda or @ d very least use this link..

Are you taking the piss?
1. Make sure your microSD is Formatted to fat32 (you dont have to delete all files but it is safer if you do)
2. Download your prefered Rom from the LEO Rom Develpoment Page and unzip/unrar it to your PC
3. Goto the Roms Folder and rename the .nbh file to LEOIMG.nbh
4. Copy the LEOIMG.nbh file to the root of your MicroSD Card
5. Plug the MicroSD Card into the phone
6. Reset the device while pressing the volume down button to enter the BootLoader screen, you will first see a tri-color screen with the phone and SPL Information at the top
7. Follow the On Screen instructions to start the update
8. After flash has completed, press the reset button with the stylus to reset the device.

U can get a official ROM from the HTC website, make sure u DONT get the newest, but the 1.66 ROM version.
Extract the *.exe to your desktop using WINRAR and u will have a .nbh file in there.

just tiny bit of advice for you (take it or leave it), if you had trouble finding how to install hspl on your own, i suspect you are going to have a few more difficulties getting android onto your HD2 (if thats your goal)
your right in saying dont post if you dont want to help, but you need to show at least an ounce of initiative if you want to avoid this type of response.
