I know this I just asked what fw those phones have. Because I saw that there are too big numbers in the scores. Also It's strange that scores of i9003 is so lesser. I received 1300 points with XXKPE on my phone

both of them have 2.3.4,sl is on xkpe, idk how ppl get 1300 on it,if theres a trick teach me.i got 1363 on the s and 1179 on the sl

idid get 1300 too but out of four runs with quadrent only initial one got me 1300 points, all other benchmark results hovered around 1150 mark. which is kinda weird as I ran the tests one after another

Wot we lack here is finalise gingerbread, ext4 file partition and overclocking Cpu.
Beside that Gpu wise we always stay inferior to sgs but still not that much .

My friend also have a Galaxy S II
but when i compare the colour of screen with mine 1[galaxy sl]
i think mine 1 is look more sharp on words[and is more light]
don't know is it the brightness setting of him phone is dark or something
just now,
i saw that galaxy s plus is come out at my country O.O
Well, now the price is higher than SL a little[around 300~400 MYR]

a lot of effort has been taken to get this video done , so please watch this and comment on youtube, depending on the response im planning a second video with more detailed explanation.
i own both phones and i personally like the display on the sl,but the s is better for games like n.o.v.a 2 and has custom roms, sad part is my bro uses the s(i9000)
now and im left with the sl.

i am using galaxy sl.i got 2271 total score in quadrant advanced rom is XXKPE(even without any fices was getting 1570) now 2271 is with ex4t patched deodexed rooted and with ram script applied.

How do I apply the ram script, even I have deodexed

made from aosp 2.3 source code & possibly bits from nexus s dump
But how does the Scorpion score on 2.3?
This is excellent news, means the Dalvik Jit compiler is finally optimized to give the Hummingbird a performance boost.
But, what if this excitment is pre-mature? I want to see the nexus ONE(scorpion phone) running 2.3, what if 2.3 on a scorpion boosts their performance even more than it already did on 2.2!
Lets compare 2.3 vibrant to 2.3 scorpion, then we will know!

Scorpion is not on the nexus one
Also Quadrant doesn't test MFLOPS... linpack does
The purpose of my post to show the galaxy S phones take advantage of JIT just like the NS..even though we pretty much knew this
The scorpion CPU is nothing more than a snapdragon with updated adreno GPU will pretty much have same linpack score as N1 snapdragon
this is great, but now i want the official gingerbread, when will samsung end the misery of consumers?!?!?

No, this is supercurio's rom. He's simply showing the performance results of it. There is no fully functional Gingerbread rom for SGS phones yet. However, if supercurio continues at this pace, it may not be much longer

Rotating planets missing textures , there is not suppose to be pale planets and white background. Also reports of several high profile games not working...
I really wish Samsung used Nvidia tegra or PowerVR SGX , those two companys were in GPU business long time they can write proper GPU drivers , mali is peace of crap.
Quadrant standard works ok, and Advanced worked for me after a few runs. Im sure these issues will be fixed in later firmware releases.
Take a look at this if you think Mali is inferior to Tegra.

Its actually issue with Quadrant. Quadrant advanced and professional editions are stuck at version 1.1.6 which is known to have issues with phones running Gingerbread ROMs like SGS2.
So those scores are flawed.
Standard edition has been upgraded to version 1.1.7 which works without these issues with gingerbread. Ironically those who paid are left in ditch at the moment with lack of update

Makes sense. Its probably why Advanced gives me consistently 5 to 10% lower scores. The textures do seem unstable, sometimes they work, sometimes not.

I9100 (to compare)
http://www.91mobiles.com/mobile/Samsung/Galaxy+S+II+I9100/8374.html
I mark'd the differences in yellow that I saw so far.
The main differents are the SLCD (Super Liquid Chrystal Display) and the Nvidia Tegra 2 Processor and it seems that the 1080p HD Video Recording is at 30fps in stock.
I think the new SLCD Screen will boost the battery life alot !
Any new Information about this model of SGS2 can be posted here !
I will edit it soon with more Information.
Can't wait to get it!
I cant see any difference between 9100 & 9103
Are there any?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
Old info, look at the post date. Samsung has stated they don't have any plans to release this device any time soon. Micht change in the future but now it's definatly cancelled.
Screen is Super LCD rather than Super AMOLED Plus and the Processor is a Tegra 2 Processor (Nvidia) rather than Samsung's own Exynos
Exynos + Chainfire 3D ftw!!
samsung meant to release this phone because they can't answer the orders for 9100.. the samsung i-9103 has some benefits and handicaps against the i-9100. 9103 has a nvidia tegra2 graphic processor which might be stronger in some cases but lacks the benefits of the th super amoled plus screen since it has a clear type LCD screen..
just like the i9003 (AKA Galaxy S i9000 2011 editon)
- added a screenshot with yellow marks
hope that they will release it soon and not in 2012.
Then I would wait for an SGS3 !
Any news about Samsung GT-I9103
Any release date ?
BC I dont know what to do. Wait for Glaxy S II i9103, OR take LG Optimus 2X...
There's also the new GT-I9001 coming in september. It's called Galaxy S Plus, and actually beats the SGS2 in cpu-specs. Samsung.de is already advertising for it on their homepage.
Dual-core 1,4 Ghz cpu beats the SGS2, but othervise its smaller in specs - 5Mp camera, 8 Gb internal memory and so on.
So by overclocking the SGS2 a bit, it's still the strongest in the block...
It says "Ultraschneller 1,4 GHz Prozessor" which means something like fast 1,4GHz CPU, but no mention of Dualcore somewhere... so its a Singlecore, every marketing department would mention Dualcore if it would be a dualcore...
SLCD screen will increase battery use not decrease it compared to samLED+

Yes, I agree, pretty sure it is single core, probably also based on Cortex A8, so it is slower than SGS2 also in single threaded tasks regardless of the higher clock frequency.

I know that Galaxy S use CPU Hummingbird and GPU PowerVR SGX540 but I don't know about Galaxy S Wifi truely.
And I found that Galaxy S Wifi's CPU and GPU are the same as Galaxy S (I can't remember the address)
But I see that my Galaxy S get 55.6FPS with Neocore test. And Galaxy S Wifi get 59.6FPS.
So, why does Galaxy S get 55.6FPS but Galaxy S Wifi which has same CPU and GPU can get more FPS?

For the Galaxy S wifi 4", it is basically a Galaxy S without connectivity features such as GSM radio and GPS

Galaxy Wifi can get 59.6FPS with Neocore test but Galaxy S can get only 55.6.
As answered above, soft config.
First example, on SGS Wifi, there is no dialer resident, as well as whole part responsible for messaging etc.
These modules ARE consuming RAM.
Please remember: SGS was designed as PHONE, while SGS WiFi as player/console.

No, no, no... You want the HDC I9300 Pro... It has the MTK6577 processor that goes to 2.0Ghz and has 1 Gb or ram... Its also dual sim (if you want it to be) with a normal sized sim &/or a micro sized sim. Or 2 normal sized sim if you want. White or Frost Blue. And only $210US... What a bargain....

I guarantee you it's more like .8MP. I've seen China phones that were 12MP but in reality were 1.2 at best.
And if you've ever used a decent smart phone, let alone an S3 you would definately notice the difference. The knock-offs are horrible to use.

It can be an 8MP sensor but if the processing sucks it'll look like a 0.8MP shot.
