I can not confirm.
At me from 90 % to 100 % pressure of a charge to 200 falls, but hour is charged not, 15 it is no more minutes.
Can try to calibrate to you the battery.

This is the charging characteristic of lithium ion battery. Current will be lower as it is near to full capacity. You can Google for it.

I fix this problem by drain batt to 10% and charge to Full by Docking. Now it come in to normal (Stand by around 2 days.)

Xperia Z3 battery life and recharge experiments

I got my Z3 at the beginning of this week, and I have to say it is an amazing phone in a lot of areas including the battery life. I know there is another thread for battery life results from various users, but I want to create a dedicated thread for my personal experiments showing results of battery life and mainly its recharging capabilities on various chargers, wires, etc. that I have on hand. Hopefully, with a user profile and various tests, I hope this will help potential owners decide and current owners something to compare to.
Profile
I am an average (maybe a little less) user that came from using an LG Nexus 5, HTC One (M7), and Samsung Galaxy Nexus. I work 8 hours a day and regularly check the phone for text messages, replying to them throughout the day. During one hour lunch, I browse Imgur for some giggles and laughs. I don't watch YouTube videos unless I am given a YouTube link from friends' texts, or I am needing to watch some tech reviews, etc. I carry it in my pocket wherever I go, and frequently take it out to text friends. I can average calls 3-5 mins a day because I socialize more on-screen. When I am in my car, I mount it to the AUX of the car and listen to Di.FM. At home, I leave it on a tabletop until I need to use it for texts, YouTube videos, and browse the web.

I heard from a friend that the Z series phone charges really fast up to 70%, and after that, they charge slower. This looks to be somewhat true based on the data above. It is hard to ball-park the total time it will take for a full charge based on this data. It is possible that the USB port outputs variable amps, who knows. I will have to do one from 0% to 100% next time, and maybe from a more constant power source (outlet).

Total time to do a full charge is roughly 2 hours 49 minutes. It seems the Magnector X magnetic adapter charges inconsistently throughout its duration--starts out really fast up to 70-80%, then slowly afterwards.

This one is very interesting! Notice the super fast charging up to around 80% charge, then it slows down after that. The 99-100% mark is extremely slow. So with the Blackberry charger with more amp output, we expect this to be 99% in 2 hours and 11 minutes. Expect to wait another 25 minutes for 100% if you have that patience. This is the record in the recharge experiment!
Recharge experiment #5: Full charge using Aukey Quick Charge 2.0 18W USB Turbo Wall Charger Fast Charger (plugged to outlet) + Magtron Magnector X magnetic adapter (5V:2A / 9V:2A / 12V:1.5A)

Unfortunately, after reading some posts online, the Quick Charge 2.0 does not work with magnetic port, but the USB port (or dock), or so some claim. Hence the charging time has not significantly improve (at all).

The magnetic charging dock. They say it charges faster, has a higher current rating.
I'll be ordering one soon, but I am still deciding to get Sony or aftermarket.

Yeah, I started at 52% instead of at fully discharged, so the data is not complete--I assumed the data would be constant so starting anywhere was going to be okay. I will need to do one fully discharged.

My first stats. I was on auto brightness. 2 sim cardb sa slots active, one on 2g and other on 3g. Heavy web browsing on wifi with autosync turned on and about 1 hour on 3g internet. I also streamed music from Spotify most of the time and listen to walkman about 80% of entire usage. Also watched a couple of youtube vids.

I used an OEM Samsung 5ft cable (I don't think the cable matters). I believe using the Magnector Cable + Blackberry Folding Blade OEM Charger is the same as Experiment #4, but I can certainly try when I get the phone to 1% again.
EDIT: Oh I found out that the Blackberry charger is one piece that includes the cable too. So I cannot use the Magnector Cable with it.

Curious, but what is your signal strength through the day? I usually get 3-5 bars of LTE at my workplace, and it shows when you click the battery chart as the Mobile Signal is mostly orange instead of green.

Turbo Charger is able to supply at least 6% of charge for at least 45minutes, then it slows down to 4% per 5minutes until it's fully charged. That last 2% charge did take a lot longer though.
Trent charger is pretty much constant at 4% per 5 minutes, then down to 3% increase after it got to 92% charged.
I'll try a 1A charger next, lol I also have a Nexus 10 charger to try as well. I dont have a 3A charger to test.

Thanks
How hot does the battery get when you are turbo charging it? IIRC, hotter batteries = shorter battery life overall.
what happen to 15 min 60% charge lol.
my battery gets pretty hot/warm when charging.
I think it was 6 hours of usage (overall, not 6 hours of gaming) in 15 min. And with my battery lasting 36+ hours, that 23% would def get me 6 hours.

Also tried an Anker 60W 6port USB charger.
It has Power IQ where it's supposed to adjust charging power to what the device requires. I think it's supposed to max out between 2a - 2.4a
Well, from completely drained out battery, it took a full 3hrs to fully charge the device.
If you want your device charged fast, don't get this charger.
If you have time to wait and a lot of devices to charge all at once and like to travel, get this device.
Has anyone monitored the voltage/current output of their turbo charger? I cannot get to the "turbo 2" output (12 V, 1.2 A) listed on the charger. Even from 4% battery, I max out ~ 9 V, 1.5 A, which is listed as "turbo 1". In my test today, charging was pretty constant around 1.3% per minute up to 60%, then dropped off as expected. I haven't seen it use the 12V output yet. Its not s large difference 13.5 W for turbo and 14.4 W for 12V. I wonder how much faster it would charge and if it's a software or hardware limitation

I personally found that the stock cable that comes with the phone doesn't allow for that much voltage/amperage to pass through it. I do have another cable at home that is thicker and it charges it a whole lot faster. I will try and get the data for it.
So what's the best cable and wall plug for fastest charging?

18 watts?
I am getting similar results as the OP. It works out to about 2400maH, which is about 75% charge in one hour. This is theoretically about the same as you would get from a 5v 2.4A (12w) amp non-turbo charger, which I have achieved with my "Note 3" 2.4A standard charger. One would think the turbo charger would charge about 50% faster on the Nexus 6 either at 9v 2A, or 12v 1.5A, which is 18w, which I haven't heard of anyone achieving.

For some reason, I don't trust those turbo chargers. I think I'll stay with a regular 2.1A charger. It doesn't charge real fast, but I have time and it may be safer for the battery.

Galaxy S7 Edge Fast charging too slow

Hi everyone,
I have a galaxy s7 edge and i think that i have a problem with the fast charging feature, but i am not sure so i wanted to ask here.
As i know the phone supports fast charge 2.0 which should charge from 0-60% in 30 minutes. The phone charges fast, and it says that it uses fast charge, but it is just half the speed, normaly it charges 1% per minute, so that means it takes 60 minutes for 60%. Is that normal or should it charge faster, and if it should charge faster, what could be the issue, i am ussing the original charger which came with the phone.
I wondered that also. It takes close to 1 1/2 hours for be to charge. 0-60 never gets done in 30 minutes for me.

Hello,
No, it does not matter, even if i do not touch the phone while it is charging it never gets the speed as it is advertised, only half of the speed. Does the always on matter in this point, because i have it enabled?
I think the 3600 mAh battery has something to do with it. It's a big battery. Those stats are likely for a smaller capacity battery.

How long does it take you to charge from 0-100 without touching the phone? It should take around 1.5 hours.

That's a good question. I don't know. Turn it off next time you charge and see if it makes a difference.
My note 5 used to charge from 2-100 in 70 minutes. The s7 edge takes 30 minutes more for me. Guessing it's the battery. Also, if you're using the phone and fast charging is on, it'll charge slower than if you were to turn off fast charging. Meaning, if you're using your phone and charging it, better off turning off fast charging since the regular charging will charge it faster while using the phone

Hi.
I one (only once) noticed that my S7E didn't charge well even though plugged in to original charger and cable. Somehow the cable wasn't connected tight on the charger side. This was causing the problem of showing fast charging on the display but slow charging actually.
Atm I'm charging and monitored the progress:

20 min 27 %
30 min 37 %
41 Min 50 %
1h 8 min 80 %

Fast charger works fine with charger you get phone. Fast wireless charger doesn't work as fast for me. If you leave the phone alone, honestly it does charge fast

Also same in my case.
Tried mine yesterday and took about 1 hour, 35 mins from 0 to 100%
My s7 edge (though using s6 active fast charger), showed 42% at start of fast charge.. after 30 minutes it had only gone to 51% or about 9% gain.. not normal.. i tried the same test with an s6 active and it gained about 15% or more in 15 minutes (not 30).
Still trying to rule out the charger, but i noticed this same slowness last nite on the native s7 edge charger.. so i dont think its the charger..
edit: after wiping system partition cache.. 16 minute test i jumped 8% .. i guess this is more normalish though still a tad low.
I would like to verify the same as some users explained.
Fast charge does charge quick in my phone, maybe not as quick as expected.
But i normally leave fast charge disabled, heavy user and dislike picking the device in when its warm.
I was about to pop out, device had like 5-10% battery.
Plugged it in and it said 2 hours to charge.
Unplugged, Enabled fast charge, time went to 1 hour 25 minutes.
So it chopped around 30 minutes off the charging time.
hi, I don't know if this's the place, but I am on stock firmware for s7 (g930f) and it charges really slow (like 4 hours to full charge), does anybody know why? (original charger)

Ampere during charging of Huawei P Smart FIG-LX1

On my Huawei P Smart I tried to install Ampere to check the mA during charging. With the original charger the app marked me max 870 mA. It seemed strange, because the charger is 2A and because with 1000 mA during charging it would take 3 hours to charge the 3000 mAh battery, and the smartphone takes less (not so much less in fact).
Disappointed by the app, I tried to make a partial charge from 24% to 91% (with another non-original 2A charger) in 1h 56m 30s. 67% charge = 2010 mAh in 1,94 hours, so 2010 / 1,94 = 1036 mA during the charge.
I specify that during charging the phone was on (not in use). Do you think that is right? It is not a little slow? Do you have a feedback to give me about?
(Sorry for my English not so good)

This is normal on all phones.
I know every phone slows down charging when it's nearly full, but on my Oneplus 8 Pro, it seems really slow at the end ...
I'll time it on next charge
23 minutes from 89 to 100%...
Is this normal?
it would generally be a good idea to stop charging it after 80 or 90% in order to keep the battery healthy in the long run.

Do you have optimised charging on? If so, the phone will warp charge to 80% then start trickle charging to 100% in the hour or so leading up to you waking up/using the phone. Turn it off if you want max charging all the time
