Samsung announced on their Samsung Tomorrow website that the Samsung Galaxy S2 will be available tomorrow April, 28th, 2011 at 10:30 AM in South Korea. What does this mean for excited buyers in India and the UK? The time is imminent. My dealer has already confirmed within the first or second week of May, this device will be shipped from South Korea and be on sale in India during this same time-frame. UK buyers will already have laid their hands on this beast before then, lucky folks indeed. - Cheers!

Its about time we get some response from the Samsung folks in South Korea. For all of those lucky folks that will be in South Korea tomorrow, you can finally get your hands on a Samsung Galaxy S2 at 10:30 AM (April 28th, 2011) at your local shops, according to a post on Samsung Tomorrow.
What does this good news mean for eager buyers all over the world? Well , the much rumored release in India and Singapore “could” be any day now. However, some rumors suggest that the Galaxy S2 will make its way to the Indian Subcontinent in the first or second week of May whereas some claim by May’s-end. Presently, no information for those willing to purchase the Galaxy S2 in Singapore.
Buyers in the UK will be pleased to know that the device will be available by the end of this week and widely distributed next week by online stores like Clove, Phones4U, and Amazon UK.
Unfortunately, folks in US will have to prolong their wait further till this Summer.

I'd say the pricing will be anywhere between 30,800 (The MRP of the original Samsung Galaxy S) and 31,500 rupees, provided that you choose the right dealer or other source of purchase.

After the announcement of S II at MWC in February with availability of S II same month in Europe and Asia I consider current situation as just another epic fail of the vendor showing very typical inconsistent market conduct.
And they keep failing it even more with no official follow-ups on the date shift.
It is so lame that company's communications about next top phone missing officially announced release date are limited to desultory leaks in regional company blogs/etc.
As quoted May is just the middle of quoted Q2 availability it looks quite doubtful after all.

At MWC Samsung employee claimed it'll be available by the and of the January ; ) I also remember this. It was also written in some Engadget news.
Probably a person saying this was not well informed because I have never heard this again.

MWC was in February, so they could never release it by the end of January.

Yes it does. Yesterday, during a presentation, samsung has officialy announced the release date of the Galaxy S II for france : June

Ya the google traduction really suck but yes as it is said in the article, it is a thin and lite case that contains an extended battery pack that'll increase the battery life of the smartphone. I tried my best to correct the traduction of the article:
Apart from the famous MHL port that couple a USB port and an HDMI port, Samsung had hidden the availabilty of other accessories for its new Galaxy S 2 like a USB Host port (for connecting a USB stick for example), a Case / Battery pack (thin and light), a stylus (special for capacitive screen) and a dock equiped with speakers! All this will be available at the launch of the smartphone in June. No pricing details.

A lot of the components used in electronic equipment are made in Japan.
So it may affect the SGS2 production.

I think it is sold out in the UK now. Amazon UK don't seem to have received any stock as far as I can see despite taking my order on the 9th when they promised availability on the 18th. Now they say July. Another Honeycomb tablet I wanted to buy and no one wanted to sell to me. Maybe whenever HTC come out with a larger tablet they will let someone sell me one. Failing that I'll get the iPad 3.

The keyboard bundle is not available yet, but it can be bought separately direct from Asus.
Ebuyer had 40+ in stock earlier this week, but have sold out now. If you want one, you need to be quick because the stock doesn't last long.

And everywhere else, the release date is 1 June - so you can only pre-order :-(
Although Overclockers has the bundle on with ETA 16th May.
I checked on Asus UK to see if you could buy the dock separately direct from them but it just redirects you to the resellers...
You could order the dock from Asus directly for £50 but that was only if you ordered or bought the tablet before the 22nd I think it was. You wouldn't get that deal if you bought one now.
I feel bad for all the people who preordered and have been screwed around, I just walked into a comet store and bought mine..

Yup, dates kept changing on main site for me (looking at expansys.co.uk). Received mail confirming shipping on Tuesday 3rd of May, so I guess this is happening.
Well they said 3rd May confirmed,, lets see
total preorders by 28th April 2011= 281
stock expected= 500
Warehouse in Uk and France, Mine will be shipped from UK where as on 2nd they will have stock in France and they will ship it on 3rd.

I Called DHL and they said that following are new requirements for Dubai Custom
1. shipment Product's "Country of Origin".
2. Sender should Mention on invoice, its for "Personal use"
3. HS Code (Harmonized System Code) of the products.
Please note that without above details, shipment will not be cleared by Dubai customs, so please make sure its mentioned.
I suggest different people should find out any such particular requirements for your Custom authorities.

Friend of mine did the same back with his HD2 with the result that with Amazon then he had to wait 6 weeks since all preorders were worked down by Amazon and he was last on the list .................
Just spoke to someone from Expansys UK and they said they have it in stock and is expecting to ship it tomorrow.
Someone call expansys uk and see if they are being truthful

Just so nobody is confused, Ouya will be launch to the Kickstarter backers on March 28, it will be on the shelves online and at physical stores in June.
Seems the OP should change, since to about 99.99% of folks, "Launch date" is for consumers. That said, this IS a dev themed forum.
Kind of regretting not backing now
Missed the wagon too on backing this project, would have happily donated.
At least those who get their units in June will hopefully have a more bug-free experience, having iron out a few things over those months.

I ordered my OUYA in early December. The print out receipt I received in my email said that I will get mine in April. But that was before OUYA moved up the release date to end of March. I think we will get ours at the same time as the other pre-orders. If not, I only expect up to a 1 week delay.
Man.. if that OP was right and stores got it same time we kickstarters got it.. I wouldve been pissed.. bad enough we paid the same price as normal preorders and he price ppl at a store would pay. Youd think we wouldve got something more from it or special. =/

I thought today was supposed to be a big event/launch party, yet all Ouya did was put out a small press release.
Did they even show the final, shipping hardware? I haven't seen it anywhere...
Sadly no email yet about it. I mean I found the gamer sign in but that was just for updating your address and so. Which atm you cant unless you contact them directly.
I don't know if this I common knowledge or not (sorry if it is), but I just spoke with a Tmo rep (so take this info with a grain of salt), and she stated Samsung gave them a timeframe in which they would start selling the Note 7s again. She stated the memo said they would receive new shipments in 1-3 weeks. Just thought I'd let everyone know since I'm sure, like me, there are members here waiting for the re-release.
Grain of salt?? This entire Samsung episode and the process of returning my N7 has made me very salty. I got grains for days.
I was told by a rep last week that by this Friday they would have them in stock.
listening to reps of any carriers is useless, i called in more then few they all tell me different ****tnanagens. BUT, i did got some answer from Samsung USA help hotline manager and say that they are dealing with the some kind of gov. approval or something. 2-3 weeks. and that was last week already. maybe beginning of the last week of the month i assuming.

I thought us current owners were supposed to get them before they go on sale to everyone else! I'll be pretty mad if they're out of stock because they sold them all while here I am waiting!

You're correct. Samsung has indicated that existing owners get priority replacement before sales of new devices.
As long as you understand that "selling in 1-3 weeks" means to those who have never owned the device. Replacements for those with the device should be MUCH sooner.
Funny, talked to a rep yesterday they said the replacements will come in atleast a month
So Samsung is telling cell phone salesmen when they will return, but not the government or shareholders or media or news or anything huh?
i spoke to t-mo 2 days ago and was told they have not been given a timeframe yet. but i assume since the cpsc got involved it will be longer then we want as they apparently need to approve the devices in the U.S. before we see them and if they wanna hold off on approving them then we will have to wait until they say ok. which i am sure they will catch hell for if it's not a quick approval. but they could find a faulty unit and say no. we will have to wait and see though

I knew it was too good to be true. Some people still seem to think replacements will arrive sometime this week. I highly doubt it. The 1-3 week timeframe is optimistic as it is. For what it's worth, Samsung may have given Tmo the timeframe before the CPSC got involved.
At this point, I'm waiting to see whether the V20 is coming out before the Note 7 is re-released. I'll get whichever is available first.

After the announcement by Samsung of "by the 21st", yes indeedy
By the 21st they'll be on sale again. Replacement units should come before that... I hope.

I'll believe it when they're in the stores. I've been lied to so much by T-Mobile over the past week I won't even believe the sun rises in the east until I see it with my own two eyes.
I'm going to be pushing that promotion for all it's worth. When my loaner S7 Edge comes, I'm reaching for the VR. When the replacement Note 7 is in, it'll be another SD card. It's too bad I can't jam that up T-Mobile's ass.
Samsung's announcement said the 21st. We'll see.

I suspect so if the color you want is in stock. Blue wasn't available on the first day, and the news of toaster Note 7s started to hit the next week.
You'll be getting a new EIP if what the senior customer service rep told me is accurate. Take that with a boulder of salt.
