More RAM memory

I found on acer-club.ru ROM for neotouch S200 which have total RAM memory 217MB. ROM from here and Official ROM from Acer have total RAM 202MB. How "Yury_z" (chef of the ROM) get 217MB? Is there any chance how get 217MB RAM on WWE ROMs here? It would be nice to have more RAM memory.

It seems this related to the pagepool size.
By default, the pagepool is 15 MB for official CHT Rom.

so: is it possible to enable the 15MB more ram?=)

You could ask the chef about this thing? because I have no ideas how he did that (if it's his tweak)

Arto: I don't speak Russian...but if he changed pagepool size, I found how to change pagepool size:
- download zip file, unzip it and add to the folder your flash.bin.
- open pp.bat with notepad and the number 15 change to what you want (number is in MB).
- save pp.bat and run it
I didn't test it. I maybe test it today.

So I tried change pagepool size. I set pagepool to 10 MB (from default 15 MB). Now I have total RAM memory 207,20 MB. After boot I have free RAM memory 120MB (I am using ROM - Arto's Clean 1.1) .
I think to have total RAM memory 217 MB is need set pagepool to 0 or 1 MB.

Whouuw I will try this !! If it give real 15 mb free it's a very good improvment for the sense rom !! Thank you !

edit : mmh, 15 mb free is not realistic, I set the pagepool to 10mb because with 5mb pagepool, it was too laggy

So he must did it differently. We can dump his ROM and will look what he change.
Today I sent PM (on acer-club.ru) for Yury_z but in English. I hope that he answers.

If there is no pagepool the program loading is very low and the multi task become very laggy

i also used 0 MB of pagepool on my old touch pro.
users in an other threat mean, that pagepool of 0 MB allows the mobile to set the ram by itself.
The touch pro feels really laggy, but duno if the 528 MHZ compared to our 1GHZ feels laggy or really the pagepool make it lag.
I will test it in the afternoon with more pagepool

Apps2sd for stock rooted Dinc?

so, i've been searching here and androidforums.com to see how to install apps2sd on my inc. I want to install to the stock rom because until CM6 has all the bugs worked out of it, i need a stable phone for work.. so far everything I've found says i need to flash a rom with it already included.. so... for those that are smarter than I in regards to all things android, can i put apps2sd on my phone with the mostly stock, rooted sense rom?

Patience. I'm sure as soon as its available xda will be one of the first to post the method.

If I recall correctly the phone has 512 RAM and 512 Rom. Plus the 8gb internal storage. Apps running from SD frees up more of the RAM for better performance.
Anyways this thread should probably be removed since there are tons of others on this subject

if that's the case, then something is up with my phone.. I was trying to install the NFS rip from the droid x and it says i dont have ennough space on my phone and i know damn well i'm not using even close to the 746mb available.

Internal storage on Pro (+) !?

hello,
can anybody pls tell me how much is YOUR internal storage on the
U8800pro?
for the normal X5 (U8800) wiki says 600MB and 2GB flash
8800+/pro is claimed to have 4GB flash and more internal, too.
At least my Pro says 0,9GB internal free
but only 1,55GB internal SD/flash available
so my pro obviously has only about 2GB internal - not 4
(I just updated to the last official 2.3.5 (B57) (3/2012) and left the phone untouched so far)
any other experiences with this rom ... hints?

My 8800 Pro (Titan?) has 1,56 GB on internal SD-card, and 544 MB on internal storage.
I found it under Settings > Storage space ("Lagerplads" in Danish, I don't know what it's exactly called in the English version). Maybe that is why it isn't the same as yours

mine is clean so far (0,9GB)
But my point is the small internal SD (1,5 vs 4GB claimed)
never mentioned that before....

All mmc has a different class,, you can see at the mmc got write a small number 4 or 6 or 10 (as i know)..
im using Class 10 now just recheck your mmc again for sure :highfive:

Any idea on extend the free ROM storage?

I just purchase a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 - Snapdragon 625 - 3GB RAM - 16GB ROM.
This is the worst choice that I have ever made.
With 16Gb ROM, I just have 9.84 Gb storage and after installed my app ( the essential app that I have to install for every device I used) I got 3 Gb free storage for stuff like Music, Photos & Videos, Document,...
If I had spent more some bucks for 32GB for 64GB version, I think I would have never concerned about the ROM storage anymore.
My solution until now:
Flash a custom ROM like Lineage OS, RR which have zero trash app. RR ROM size ~ 550Mb compare to MIUI 700Mb with alot of trash app: Mi credit, floatball, mi drop, mi drive,...
Use Titanium Backup to delete any built-in app that I don't need.
Flash Pico Gapp.
Today, I will purchase a micro SD and abandon 1 SIM The price of micro SD in here (Vietnam) is cheaper than buying a 32GB ROM instead. It somewhat comforted me. hehe. The disadvantage that I have to use 2 devices. Actually, my second SIM just a backup SIM, I rarely use it.

I guess you can buy a SD card, install a custom ROM and format the card as internal storage.

There's no version of redmi note 4 with 16gb ROM...
The 3gb RAM variant has 32gb ROM

Actually, it has a version with 16GB ROM and 3GB RAM It's very common in Vietnam due to its cheap price People who need small storage will find it very affordable.

This is true. My friend from the Philippines has a Redmi Note 4 with 16GB of internal storage. While mine is 3GB and 32GB combo, and I've seen no trace of that specific model here in Malaysia.
Only 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB model is available here.

Just an FYI :- there are 16gb variant of Redmi-note-4/4x (Snapdragon) available already and were legit.

I'm also have the Redmi Note 4X, with 3GB RAM and 16GB Internal storage.
