Flash 10.1 will never run on Spica as it requires arm v7 and phone has arm v6. You can use FlashLite 9, head over to samdroid.net for details.

Android 2.2.1
Kernel 2.6.29.6
Mod CM 6.1.1. Spica a 8.3
First I had Eclair Android 2.1 on my phone.
Then I decide to change, cause I red under Android 2.2 Flash would be working.
After the installation of CM, I did whats in the instruction.
I copied both files on the sdcard/root. Then recovery and install the the *.zip.
Reboot. Then I installed the *.apk after the phone is back to normal mode.
Maybe their is no FlashPlayer for CM 6.1.1???
Thx

I can't say for sure, I'm still using Eclair, you have to search Samdroid to get an answer.
I have working FlashLite from Samdroid kitchen (android 2.1).

[Q] Any way for Flash?

I'm just checking that the Wildfire can not run Flash 10.1? I just want to be sure that it's not availible and I'm not missing out or anything?
If it's not available is there anyway to run kongregate arcade and other flash games? A browser with flash support like skyfire? (that only works for videos I think?)
non rooted wildfires cannot have flash
If you have rooted you could flash a custom rom which supports flash.
Sorry i cant help about the games I never tried.
So rooted device can handle full flash ? not only flash lite on this processor ?
Well I am rooted and running the Wildpuzzle ROM+OC.
I was under the impression that the device only supports flash lite though? Could someone please correct me if I am wrong. What happenbs if you install flash 10.1 through an apk from a non market source?
as far as i know 10.1 uncompatible, even with custom roms ( i use wildpuzzle v.08)
Sorry guys bad choice of words earlier.
I dont know of any way for flash 10.1

Correct. Flash Lite is all it will support, apart from browsers like Skyfire. Flash cannot be supported on the Wildfire because it doesnt meet the hardware requirements, so, no software "hack" can enable Flash on it. You can try installing the APK from another source, but, your browser will only FC.

Uninstall Gingerbread MIUI 2.3.4 on Galaxy S

Hello, i need to uninstall Miui Gingerbread to install the official Gingerbread, i'm much more used to it, how can i do it?? Already tried to clean up the data and system and tried the Sam's firmaware last gingerbread but it would not worked.. Is it possible to downgrade to 2.2 and then install 2.3.3??
Greetings
Yes it is possible to downgrade for 2.3.3 to 2.2(.1 in my case)
I can't remember exactly how I did it, but I basically followed the instructions to install MIUI, but for a 2.2 ROM, so wiping data, system and cache, then flashing a darky ROM (but should work with any tbh)
Dead easy. Just install the Samsung Android 2.3.3 XWJVB ROM (link - http://www.theandroidsoul.com/how-to-install-xwjvb-gingerbread-rom-gaalxy-s/)
But before you install XWJVB, install the EZRom to remove/uninstall the MIUI. It's available in two versions, select the one you want:
Android 2.2 based EZRom - http://www.theandroidsoul.com/ezbase-ezrom-for-android-2-2-install-revert-back/
Android 2.3 based EZRom - http://www.theandroidsoul.com/ezbase-rom-v3-0-full-installation-guide-w-video/
Credits and Thanks to Nitr8 for great EZRoms
All you need to do it , Flash the Official GB FW , using Odin (Repartition just to be sure)

he's asking why only the miui rom will work.

[Q] Android versions -- Flashing SBF??

Hi all
I want to install CM7 ROM on my Stock Defy (Android 2.2) and have a doubt about when to flash a SBF file and what is the relation between Android and Kernel versions.
First, let's take a look of this table from wikipedia [1]:
Android Version-------------------Kernel
------2.1.x------------------------2.6.29
------2.2.x------------------------2.6.32
------2.3.x------------------------2.6.35
......
------4.0.x-------------------------3.0.1
I look in many forums on how to install cyanogenmod and they say that I have to flash Nordic SBF and so on. So far I understand that one onlye have to flash a sbf file when it's making an update from 2.1 to 2.2 (Android versions) but I don't understand why updating from 2.2.x to 2.3.x doesn't require that (look on cyanogenmod guide to install it --it says nothing about flashing sbf-- [2])
Cyanogenmod 7.1 says that it's Android 2.3.7 but the kernel stays at 2.26.32.x and in the table says that Android 2.3.x 'needs??' kernel version 2.26.35.x, so I want to know these things:
1. Is the Android version hard linked to a kernel version or is possible that you have Android 2.3.7 and Kernel 2.26.32.x installed
2. If 1 is false, is Cyanogenmod really Android 2.3.7??
3. When you are installing a custom ROM, when you HAVE to flash a SBF file into your device? Only when you are updating kernel? or in wich cases one have to flash it?
I hope I was clear with my question and you can help me with that.
Thanks in advance

Please share the steps i should follow for 1) backup existing stock version 2.2.2, 2) overclock CPU, 3) upgrade to latest stable ICS version, 4)restore stock version 2.2.2.
Let me know if you need any other details.

hi there
well to backup your stock rom first of all you need to root your phone with superoneclick google it.Then install latest 2nd init form here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1032212.after that reboot and when your phone blinks blue push vol down button to get into bootmenu.select custom recovery/backup all(to backup you rom)
3)either you download epsy/quarks ics build http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1432100 or aopk http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1585425 and the ics gapps.then move those to sd card and enter bootmenu again select wipe data/cache and install zip from sd card:chose one of the 2 above and the gapps after finish reboot and VOILA ics
How is camera in ICSROM?
camera works fine but panorama fc
Thank you, have some questions again
Thank you very much for replying, i am half journey way to start updating to ICS
i have downloaded epsy CM9-NIGHTLY-120406-Defy.zip, is it right one? is there a stable version?
when to overlock the cpu after installing ICS or can be done before?
I'm not sure if there's a stable CM9 release for Defy.

After the update..
I'm using 06.04 by Epsylon3 with Froyo kernel and green lens: I find it stable enough, good for day to day usage. There's no CM9 stable version, not even a RC one.
You can overclock the CPU from the bootmenu, although CM9 comes with 1GHz standard. Maybe undervolt it a bit.
Trimis de pe Defy CM9
Confused on updating android
I am bit confused updating android.. We are wiping the data and reloading a ICS right?? why do we need froyo kernel to update to ICS
Can you please share a link explaining it? reasons, procedures.

We need froyo kernel because we have SOC (green) camera ;-(
So we need to flash CM7 kernel too. If you use CM9 kernel, then your SOC camera will not work
Procedures in this thread in the first post
I also had to flash ICS Gapps zip (somehow ommited in the procedure)
You can use mentioned nightly - works fine
I would propose to use titanium backup from the market to backup all your apps with data - then you can simply restore them back with all data inside (but your apps - do not restore system apps)
