[Q] How to remove the USB plug/unplug sound? - Flipout and Charm General

I'm wondering if you found a way to disable the sound that the phone does when the USB cable is plugged or unplugged.

( in pc )
Save a notepad file with nothing in there.
then rename it to ex "nosound.ogg"
( in phone)
Install that file to phone location:
/system/media/audio/notifications
( in phone )
When done, go to
Settings-> sound & display -> notification ringtone -> select "nosound"
*******************************************************************
If you are not comfortable with rooting and adb,
just select "Surge" as your notification rington. ( it is very quiet and less annoying )

Actualy this will remove all notification sounds (SMS, Email, Calendar)
I'd just like to remove the USB sound.

Hi. This sound also appears when sending short codes to the operator. e.g. *101#
But there is no configuration available.

Yes, but actually you can then edit sound notification for each one of those apps - go in each app > menu button > settings > and there set notification sound

MenuPop.wav removal? How to?

I bet I'm not the only one that finds the Menupop sound VERY annoying, specially in a crowded area. You need to do something on the XDA and you click the start button (CLICK!) and the crowd goes silent for a sec and turns to you, wondering wth is going on.
So, anyway of turning this sound off? renaming or deleting MenuPop.wav doesn't work. For some odd reason Microsoft has made this sound "an integral part of the pocket pc operating system".
you can disable this by pressing "settings" -> "sounds and notifications" -> then uncheck the box of "events" from the enable sounds for"...right?
What else does this turn off? It seems to turn off a lot of sounds, and not only the click and pop sounds.
Thanks though.
from what i remember it turns of the menu sounds, the clicking sounds when you press an app and other related items. it doesn't turn off the alarms, sms notifications, calendar / task notices, etc.

How to get rid of menu clicks?

Whenever I press the start button, and work with pulldown menus, there is loud annoying click which I am unable to switch off or lower its volume, because if I lower the volume, I will also lower the volume for the ringtone. I found the file which does the "click" but am unable to delete it. Any suggestions?
Goto Settings -> Sounds and Notifications -> Disable sounds for Events

This is obvious but not good. If I do this, there won't be any notifications for all of the events, like missed phone call, new text message etc.

Music in vibrate mode

Hi
I'm new here, sorry for my English
I want play music (mp3) by headphones when only vibrate is turn off, sounds are disabled - it's possible ? or maybe is any patch which enable sounds when I connect headphones and after disconnect - disable sounds?
Thanks for help.
Greetings
I hav ethe same issue and would love a solution. I never take my phone out of vibrate but would also like to watch movies and listen to music, both using headphones as well as the built in speaker.
Try to go to Start -> Settings -> Notifications -> Notification tab, from the drop down menu select "Phone: incoming connection" and from the drop down list "ring type" select "Vibration".
(I hope you find right option, because I have Polish WM6, and I've been translating "on-the-fly")
I've write little application which set normal sounds when we connect headphones and set vibra after disconnect. I've use one tool from SmartTools and little app in c#

Mystery vibration

Just got a TD 2. Really love it after using Eten M600 for years.
But, somethings got me stumped. Frequently the device vibrates for a few seconds without any connection to an obvious event. I've checked that the phone ringer is not set on vibrate. I also checked sound & notifications - theres no event that I can see set to vibrate. After it happens, I check the notifications - and there is no event listed there.
So what is causing this to happen?

does it vibrate when u touch the dispaly?
No, just vibrates for no apparent reason.
No calls or events or notifications.
There must be a cause - I just cannot think what it could be.

If you disable the "PageBuddyNotiSvc 1.0" they are gone completely. This is what I wanted though.
