yes I know, I follow this topic, but please had anyone find out how to fix it ? May be the fix lasts less hours than downgrade. IF there is a fix.

Not always, mostly when data connection is enabled.
I think the new "modem" driver has a new "feature"...
I flashed back to jpa, waiting for jpc.

Thanks Szabi, I was testing:
I had switched off the MODEM (gprs/3g)
In music player (mp3) and FM Radio it's OK - no clicking.
In phone it's clicking even if I switch of the data.
So it's a problem of phone. I use aTAKEohONE, so it's a problem of this build.
I did some changes in call settings - if some succsess I will let you know.

the clickety click got really annoying..going back to stock rom for the moment..really hope JPC comes out soon..too bad, i was starting to get used to froyo..
btw can we mix diff modem.bin files??..this one had a XXJP2 as a baseband..i never used JPA or earlier versions, what was the baseband version for those? Just in case the problem was with the modem..maybe we just need a different baseband..i am just guessing here..

I was also thinking about taking the modem.bin from JPA and putting it in JPB but I guess its dangerous. ...

so in JPA it was correct. Strange... Does they have some testing scenarious or how and how is preparing / testing these leaked roms ? Are they leaked or developed outside of Samsung ?
Anyway please if someone knows hot to eliminate / stop this "click" during the call please let us know. I was changing settings but nothing helped.
I give up... I go to jpA

I think the problem is from modem.bin of JPB.
I tried update only modem.bin of JPA, JG2(2.1), JG3(2.1) into JPB-phone and clicking sound problem fixed. Then tried update modem.bin of JPB back again, same problem found.
Now I'm using JPB with modem.bin from JG2 because I figured that when I talk in speaker mode, JG2 is louder than JPA.
My current version
Firmware version: 2.2
Baseband version: I5801DXJG2
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9 [email protected] #1
Build number: FROYO.XXJPB

i9100 XWKFI, BUKE5, and DUKE6 Firmwares Now Online

SamFirmware just tweeted:
FIRMWARES: Samsung I9100XWKFI, I9100BUKE5, I9100TDUKE6 Online! (Android 2.3.3)
http://twitter.com/#!/SamFirmware
Looks like KF1 is still 2.3.3 and not the 2.3.4 update we have been waiting for
Hopefully our update will come soon and sort out all of the battery drain issues.
Hope this helps.
Something IS happening finally ;-) samsung makes imho the best phones but when it comes to firmware they kinda like to hesitate...still thumbs up. Hopefully they fixed the gps issues for germany.
Cheers

Didn't have these issues, I've never had to restart the phone, except yesterday, when i set my device-font to the original one, because the font had a border, after a restart it hadn't the border anymore .
Btw: I thought the navigation is using the gyroscope for tunnels, to get the position without gps, but with the google navigation it isn't working... didn't test it on offline navigations, did anyone?

XWKJ1 Discussion

I won't post the link in here, you can get it from the firmware thread in the dev forum. You can thank TheMegaStar for that as he seems incapable of going to another thread to read before he downloads and flash anything or to decipher the firmware components from the name.
Anyway, discuss your finding and observations of XWKJ1 in here.

I don't get the big deal with this everytime a firmware is released. It's so easy to just delete the talk.apk and talk.odex and just add the libtalk_jni.so to the lib directory and copy the talk2.apk to the app directory and you'll have google talk with video..... or if you have CWM then it's as simple as flashing a zip.

Ye the thing is get the latest flashtool and select the .368 firmware only flash the baseband so leave out the system and the kernel, then when you done that. Then get the libs flash it through recovery of doom, then youll have much better battery I done it myself works really well. Ive got the .58 firmware with the 36 baseband and the libs flashed for that.

Also the baseband you got maybe a little difference but you should get the 36 baseband much better battery and signal
I've noticed some signal loss when phone is idle and being waken up. Signal rises from total ZERO to max in 2 secs.
I'll try to flash new baseband and this fix and tell you what happened.
edit:
Curiosity killed the cat... umm, the phone I did something wrong and I had to reflash the whole ROM. I won't try to apply this fix again until official release.

Well you said it's used so the chances that it will be hardware fault are high, but you always can go to a fixing lab just to check if there's an hardware problem
This could be the proximity sensor. Had this on an old device. Only a few pounds on ebay to buy a new one.

you are picking up interference from somewhere , so best to check if you are on the correct radio firmware or your unit may have been repaired before and they have not housed back properly , since it is only picking up interference at close range with other radio frequencies

Switch modem. I had this too, it happens when you have modem which is using too much power to make calls.... Which means you have rock solid and stable signal, but it interferes with the rest of the phone...Try JVQ or JVT modems.

[Q] I9300XXLIB not working with CM11

Does anyone have a matching modem for CM11? It seems not matter which modem I switch to, I can't hang-up any calls. This was the problems I was having with CM10 until I upgraded to I9300XXDLIB.
So which one do I need to upgrade to now?

OK, from what I understand the MG4 modem is for people that have issues with their modem registering. That is not my issue, I can make calls, I just can't hangup.
I'm looking for a way to fix my hangup issue. Other than that, my phone works fine. I have internet, I can receive calls. Everything works. I just can't hangup.

Your sig shows S4 Revolution v10 which is a 4.2.2 based rom. Not a 4.4.2 based rom like CM11.

I had already tried a full wipe. It still would not hang up. Maybe a wipe script might be better.

u can try them any 412 modems. i have ma5 modem works fine on omni.
I got feed up and switched to OMEGA v51 I comes with modem/ril and it all works together right out of the box(so to speak). Why can CM get their act together and deliver a modem that works with their updates. If they can´t included because it´s not open source, they should at least put a link or something in the WIKI or in the installer or something like that.
If u r having problems, u have 2 reach a solution. 4 example install it any 412 modems not roms cuz long way anyway ur choice ur problem.

actually my signature is outdated and S10 revolution is a 4.3 based rom
I was on 4.2.2 then I went on s4 revolution 10 which is based on 4.3 so there was no signal so I flashed MG4 modem and everything was working good until I found some bugs in the rom so I switched to Cm11 which and I had no hanging issues
It turned out to be just a bad nightly. The next one fixed it. I restored to the Cm11 backup and ran an update to 12-16 and *poof* I could hangup all of a sudden.
I have had this experience with cm roms both on my motorola xt912 and galaxy s3
eventually i just changed to slimbean rom to rectify
