Ye the thing is get the latest flashtool and select the .368 firmware only flash the baseband so leave out the system and the kernel, then when you done that. Then get the libs flash it through recovery of doom, then youll have much better battery I done it myself works really well. Ive got the .58 firmware with the 36 baseband and the libs flashed for that.

Also the baseband you got maybe a little difference but you should get the 36 baseband much better battery and signal

I've noticed some signal loss when phone is idle and being waken up. Signal rises from total ZERO to max in 2 secs.
I'll try to flash new baseband and this fix and tell you what happened.
edit:
Curiosity killed the cat... umm, the phone I did something wrong and I had to reflash the whole ROM. I won't try to apply this fix again until official release.

Anyone got the Play specific libs for this?

Yes I posted them in another thread about this exact same thing

Ah thanks for that! I knew I had seen it somewhere, but couldn't find it again! Time to install the -36 libs.
Out of curiosity, are you running either or these?

Yea I was running the -36 baseband for a week to see what the signal and drain was like now I'm running the -58 baseband and I can say that the -36 is better than the -58 especially on the battery

i agree 100 percent mate i noticed a big difference in battery i can say

help
i was wondering if anyone could help me
I flashed baseband .36 to my phone and the applied iridaki baseband libs patch for arc
i lost all network
tried putting play libs from this thread into his cwn flashable patch and still no joy
now i'm stuck on baseband .36 with the wrong libs
tried full nandroid restore but to no effect

Use flashtool to flash just the baseband for whichever firmware
Like this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20152843&postcount=20

Hi guys , i have applied this patch and i am happy , the only problem im getting here is the wifi connection... now i take ages to download the games via market... its fast until i get 60m then its a pain :S

Sounds like a probmatic patch.

First noticeable difference is that baseband version is different from previous versions, i think different from JPM too...
Will try this firm for a day or more and will post the comments.

free firmware with chinese as default language
I flashed this yesterday, after having bvjp9 for a while. I like it and it certainly feels faster. UK English was default language for me, although, i had to change the keyboard from Chinese to Samsung. No issues thus far, and little bloatware.

it wont work from JPM. You need to rollback to DDJG6 and then update to this one....
Also remove boot.bin and sh.bin from package to avoid bricking
i notice this ,Taiwan ver is ZFJPF is Provider firmware
have Q MARKET and some useless software inside
this ver I5801ZHJPF is me update from kies ZHJH1 "street buy ver"
it have a "windows live msg" is only work on hongkong 3G network(wifi is not work)
Been using this ROM since morning. So far so good. Below is my observation:
1. Battery bug is there. When battery goes down, restart phone and it is good again
2. GPS is same as JPM. Got sattelite connection in under 10 seconds
3. I dnt know but looks like its me with the popping sound. Majorly happens when i am using headphones and screen goes Blank. Wake up the phone and it pops
4. Media Scanning takes longer than JPM

The version I used was ZHJPF, downloaded from another post, using medifire, before this was released by Samfirmware, and there are no erroneous apps present.
I am now able to browse the internet using HSPDA, previously only 3G was available to me using JP9. Perhaps my GiffGaff signal has improved, but it seems coincidental.
It is most definitely faster, than JP9, and, I will be keeping a close watch on battery life. WiFi and GPS are also working well. I am now rooted, and my Live Wallpapers are running smoothly.
I wanted to keep my 5801 identity, and until we get something decent in Europe, I would recommend this firmware, as a good Froyo base.

The Baseband version for this is I5801ZHJP3; not sure that helps you, but when I flashed initially, I went from JP9, and did not factory reset, and it worked just fine as an upgrade. I tried it, liked it and then reset and clean flashed.
Samfirmware twittered Froyo by the end of April for Galaxy 3, so our best bet is to try and use what we can for now.

KF3 now online @samfirmware.com

When people start flashing their phones I am sure one of them will answer your question.
Can I use odin to flash this over the top of stock KE7 XEU?
Will this new firmware change my CSC code?
Thanks.
Is this later than KF4 and will it wipe the phone data?
Today was my first proper day using KF4 and I've watched videos; listened to music, done texts and emails and got info through H on various apps and after 11.5 hrs I'm still on 51% which is the best so far so I'm interested to see if KF3 makes a difference.
Date-wise, KF2 is actually a newer release than KF4, and people are reporting fantastic battery life with KF2.
Kf3 is the europe version im pretty sure samfirmware commented in a thread earlyier saying so

Ok, I'm confused.
A new ROM with the same code as an old one?
Is it 2.3.5 or .4?
Shouldn't we be getting KJ ROMs, since we are pass mid October?
I just want to confirm the Frankenstein version is non wipe as before? Also, does it have the old bootloader? Thanks.

To answer my own (and another) question:
The XEU package includes the KH2 CSC file
Yes, the XEU package is non-wipe, as it's a 1 file flash in Odin (that's the quick way to tell if it's wipe or not)

I won't post the link in here, you can get it from the firmware thread in the dev forum. You can thank TheMegaStar for that as he seems incapable of going to another thread to read before he downloads and flash anything or to decipher the firmware components from the name.
Anyway, discuss your finding and observations of XWKJ1 in here.

I don't get the big deal with this everytime a firmware is released. It's so easy to just delete the talk.apk and talk.odex and just add the libtalk_jni.so to the lib directory and copy the talk2.apk to the app directory and you'll have google talk with video..... or if you have CWM then it's as simple as flashing a zip.

The latest Samsung build I tried was KI4; excellent firmware and is leaps and bounds above the Bell firmware in every aspect. There are newer 2.3.5 builds, but I'm not on a Samsung based ROM currently.

I wouldn't worry about updating your firmware via Kies if you're on Bell; you may NEVER see an update.

Read and research some more until you're comfortable. You only have to worry about matching kernel to firmware if you're doing a simple root, and retaining your current firmware. I've run 3 or 4 of the XXK_ _ firmwares, which are all Euro specific. No issues whatsoever.
Bell would likely tell you to pound sand if you tried to get warranty work done however, despite the fact you would have an official Samsung firmware (but not Bell's firmware).
When/if you flash a non-Bell firmware follow the instructions in the thread I linked to the letter, and yes, PDA is all you need, it has CSC, kernel, etc... in it.
You can then track down a CF-Root kernel for that firmware.
