Well you said it's used so the chances that it will be hardware fault are high, but you always can go to a fixing lab just to check if there's an hardware problem

This could be the proximity sensor. Had this on an old device. Only a few pounds on ebay to buy a new one.

you are picking up interference from somewhere , so best to check if you are on the correct radio firmware or your unit may have been repaired before and they have not housed back properly , since it is only picking up interference at close range with other radio frequencies
check http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1102881 for the correct firmware package based on your location

any combination of PDA, Modem and CSC is possible, as such you even use the JW6 being 2.3.6, with your country CSC and Modem

It's just radio interference, i don't see how that has anything to do with failing screen

Switch modem. I had this too, it happens when you have modem which is using too much power to make calls.... Which means you have rock solid and stable signal, but it interferes with the rest of the phone...Try JVQ or JVT modems.

tried both. but still no luck. btw i tried JVQ Australia/New Zealand one.
edit: now tried both but still no luck. and one thing does it requires to flash full firmware including PDA,CSC or just replace the modem with these two which you named ?

First noticeable difference is that baseband version is different from previous versions, i think different from JPM too...
Will try this firm for a day or more and will post the comments.

free firmware with chinese as default language
I flashed this yesterday, after having bvjp9 for a while. I like it and it certainly feels faster. UK English was default language for me, although, i had to change the keyboard from Chinese to Samsung. No issues thus far, and little bloatware.

it wont work from JPM. You need to rollback to DDJG6 and then update to this one....
Also remove boot.bin and sh.bin from package to avoid bricking
i notice this ,Taiwan ver is ZFJPF is Provider firmware
have Q MARKET and some useless software inside
this ver I5801ZHJPF is me update from kies ZHJH1 "street buy ver"
it have a "windows live msg" is only work on hongkong 3G network(wifi is not work)
Been using this ROM since morning. So far so good. Below is my observation:
1. Battery bug is there. When battery goes down, restart phone and it is good again
2. GPS is same as JPM. Got sattelite connection in under 10 seconds
3. I dnt know but looks like its me with the popping sound. Majorly happens when i am using headphones and screen goes Blank. Wake up the phone and it pops
4. Media Scanning takes longer than JPM

The version I used was ZHJPF, downloaded from another post, using medifire, before this was released by Samfirmware, and there are no erroneous apps present.
I am now able to browse the internet using HSPDA, previously only 3G was available to me using JP9. Perhaps my GiffGaff signal has improved, but it seems coincidental.
It is most definitely faster, than JP9, and, I will be keeping a close watch on battery life. WiFi and GPS are also working well. I am now rooted, and my Live Wallpapers are running smoothly.
I wanted to keep my 5801 identity, and until we get something decent in Europe, I would recommend this firmware, as a good Froyo base.

Hi Guys,
I am facing problem re-upgrading to this ROM. Due to certain reason i had to install JPM. Afterwards i rolled back to DDJG6 and updated to this one but stuck at Samsung Logo.
Tried removing cache, factory reset but unable to upgrade to this one...

The Baseband version for this is I5801ZHJP3; not sure that helps you, but when I flashed initially, I went from JP9, and did not factory reset, and it worked just fine as an upgrade. I tried it, liked it and then reset and clean flashed.
Samfirmware twittered Froyo by the end of April for Galaxy 3, so our best bet is to try and use what we can for now.

The latest Samsung build I tried was KI4; excellent firmware and is leaps and bounds above the Bell firmware in every aspect. There are newer 2.3.5 builds, but I'm not on a Samsung based ROM currently.
Bell Canuck thread.
Firmware thread.
Search Original Android Dev for the latest/greatest firmware; it changes rapidly.
I wouldn't worry about updating your firmware via Kies if you're on Bell; you may NEVER see an update.
thanks for your fast reply guys !

Read and research some more until you're comfortable. You only have to worry about matching kernel to firmware if you're doing a simple root, and retaining your current firmware. I've run 3 or 4 of the XXK_ _ firmwares, which are all Euro specific. No issues whatsoever.
Bell would likely tell you to pound sand if you tried to get warranty work done however, despite the fact you would have an official Samsung firmware (but not Bell's firmware).
When/if you flash a non-Bell firmware follow the instructions in the thread I linked to the letter, and yes, PDA is all you need, it has CSC, kernel, etc... in it.
You can then track down a CF-Root kernel for that firmware.

[Q] Omega Rom - screen rotation broken?

So, here i am, proudly owning a Galaxy S4 i9505.
I'm not really new to flashing, cooking and such stuff since i owned my sensation for 3 days
So i rooted my S4, decided to try this Omega Rom. All seems to be fine, till now when i realised that the auto-rotation is broken.
It is active in settings and i tried multiple launchers (that crappy TouchWiz thing, Nova and ADW).
Yes i activated it also in the launchers settings but nothing happend.
Restarted, took out battery, waited for a couple of seconds, nothing.
Is it a problem with the rom or maybe something went wrong during the flash process or is my sensor broken?
I thought i ask before trying go back to stock.
And dont blame me for this crappy **** of english.
Ok it seems that no sensor is working at all

I went back to stock and tried a couple of original VD2 firmwares for Germany.
The first 5 i tried were located to Slowenia with the CSC: SIM. Kies told me that.
So i couldnt get updates OTA and from Kies.
Then i simple debranded my phone, and flashed the DBT firmware. All was fine. Updates working.
I tried another Vodafone Rom and now i got the Vodafone apps and the CSC: DBT???
So no updates OTA and with Kies.
I need to fix this and go back to CSC: VD2 because a couple of sensors are broken (warranty).

It is a problem of the hardware aspect at least with my phone.
I think i crashed it when i was drunk, so maybe check your right upper corner on collisions.
Samsung was in my case very friendly. New phone, no change of the sensors.

**NEW** Firmware for """N915G""" is available

since there is no love for N915G and no one is making any Rom for it, i thought at least knowing that there is a new firmware might not be bad idea to cheer you up.
sammobile:
SM-N915G Taiwan 2015 January 4.4.4 N915GZTU1AOA2
How to FLASH:
***this WILL NOT erase anything on your phone(not even applications), but it will take the root away (you can root again and every thing will get back to the way it was)
Extract (unzip) the firmware file
Open Odin
Reboot phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
Add the firmware file to AP / PDA
don't change anything in Odin
Click the start button, sit back and wait a few minutes
LINK:
it seems that i'm not allowed to put the link here because it was removed.
so maybe you could go to sammobile and look for SM-n915G in firmwares.

Also now has a setting for screen off timer on the edge, so you can set it up to 10 minutes.
I have gone back to a previous built now, as I was having some issues with 'Sim Card not Detected' messages and I am trying to work out what is causing it.

Yeah the Telstra firmware is older ANK3 and is missing heaps of the settings from the edge, but I am now currently on ANK4 and it doesn't have the edge screen timeout setting but does have the rotation setting.

Actually the lollipop that has been leaked is an official rom, not one that someone has cooked

Odin -> stock firmware S, L and K version

Hey guys,
Due to lte connection problem, carrier customizing, etc..., I have a question:
I have K version, could I flash S version by Odin in my n935k model?
here http://tekhd.com/ at 06 July 2017 date you can find all the firmwares as below:
SM-N935K_N935KKKU3AQFE Firmware update for the Samsung Galaxy N7 FE K variant. (SM-N935K)
SM-N935L_N935LKLU3AQFE Firmware update for the Samsung Galaxy N7 FE L variant. (SM-N935L)
SM-N935S_N935SKSU3AQFE Firmware update for the Samsung Galaxy N7 FE S variant. (SM-N935S)
System Dump + Boot Image
N7FE-N935SKSU3AQFE-SYSTEM-CSC-BOOT_(ODEX)
N7FE-N935SKSU3AQFE-SYSTEM-CSC-BOOT_(DEODEX)
Thanks to @tekXodus
isn't it just the CSC you need for network stuff? Don't see why it wouldn't but back up phone first.
Google for the K variant: it's on a vietnamese site. It works too. Have installed it twice so far.

@zamzenos I really don't understand your message, you have installed what? and in whic devices?
at the end my question is: there are some hardware differences? or n935s/l/k are exactely the same and they have interchangeable firmware?

Variant K = n935k. I assume that it's best to match firmware to what you already have. I have already installed the K stock on my n935k FE. You are looking for the K variant, yes? I told you where you might find it and also that it is OK to use.
I have n935k model and I m looking for K version of the firmware in order to have the original firmware in case during the S firmware flashing something goes wrong..
Do u have a link for the k version? I didnt find it on google

yes, i tried it. there are a few new settings options, and different splash screen but nothing special in my opinion. i flashed back to the K version about 30 minutes later.

Ah ok. I was hoping there would be an option to enable VoLTE for T-Mobile.

do you know for sure it's not working? for example, if you dial voicemail, do you still have the LTE icon on your phone signal? that's what i did and i also checked, Settings->About Phone->Status->Sim Card status and while i was connected to voice mail, mobile network type remained LTE.

Yeah it doesn't work. Well this is how I have been checking. While on a phone call I try to view a webpage and it won't load or I try to run a speed test and it won't run. While on a call it shows LTE+ in the status bar but just no data passing through.
While on a call, I checked Settings->About Phone->Status->Sim Card status and it says LTE but like mentioned just can't access anything data related.
Sorry I maybe mixing up VoLTE and using data (specifically LTE data and not WiFi) while on a phone call. After doing some research these are two different things.
My issue is using data while on a call.

unfortuantely, i can't remember the differences.
Just to inform you that N935L version has no customized menu.
N version has one entry in the main settings (between connection and sound)
S version has two entry in the main settings (between connection and sound and one after applications)
Sorry.. i mean k version
Done!

Does flashing a different version wipe your phone data?

Yes it does. But you can easily backup your Data via Samsung Cloud or Smart Switch.
Does flashing a K rom to a S device break KNOX? TIA.
