Info:
Release Candidate Russian android 2.2 firmware JFB
Flash with any version of Odin 1.3/1.7
re-partition with pit - 512
ROM Features:
- APN for Russian operators.
- A strip search in contacts with Russian letters, but only those that are in contact list.
- No T9 quick search for Russian language in dialer.
- The standard navigation software from Navigon.
-----
could you please post some screen shots of what lanuages this ROM supports....
and any other features-programs added and/or missing from other JPx ROMs other than the above mentioned...
Cheers!

Converted to a middle package*, removed the bootloaders to make it safer, and deleted some excess data (sample documents, video and mp3).
The firmware was actually a low package, but it would not have booted after repartition unless I9000SERJP1 CSC was used.
*"The firmware was originally a high package, meaning it is a update patch.
Therefore the system will not boot up properly if the package is flashed with Odin MDL with re-partition option enabled.
I converted it to a middle level package, which can be flashed with Odin MDL with re-partition enabled.
It is now a OSP (Odin Separate Package) rom, so the CSC can be selected separately. It was originally a OIP (Odin Integrated Package) so the CSC was fixed to the one used in the original release (OXA in this case)."

Hi Richtofen,
I have a single pda file for ddjg4, for India. How do I go about making it a middle level package & remove the bootloaders? Thanks.

Hi Richthofen,
is a OXX CSC File already available?
Thanks,
Alex

Could anyone tell us what are the available swype languages in this firmware version?

Sure, but it will not be official combination.

The JP7 CSC is the official combination for JPB or JPA? (I'm asking since you never released a OXX csc for JPA). Thanks
EDIT: Scratch that, I just saw you pair it with JPA. Long day..
One more question, is there a way to get the files that would normally be in the CSC? (movies pictures etc)

Yeah, but why on earth?

Haha, just to be able to restore it to the original version, say if we want to resale... some people like to have the original stuff on. And you had released the OXXJM1 before, for the original eclair csc, that's why I'm asking.
No big deal if it's a hassle, thanks again for all your low/mid releases, we really appreciate them

Does anyone have the official software for the Note 10.1?
I flashed the build on my WiFi N8010 from SamMobile but it's a retail demo version and is missing the lock screen, security settings etc.
Cheers
I tried the Luxembourg ROM and its got a ton of bloatware. No problem if you're rooted and can do some clean-up but a waste of space if you're not. Also, the EU Media Hub won't work from the U.S. and can't be spoofed. The TTT ROM is the cleanest.
Hello forum!
limestar: you can remove the retail/demo app (the video that starts right after your screen goes dim) by rooting the device, setting RW permissions to /system/app and removing the first app in the /system/app list (if I remember it correctly it's first one, anyway it's easily distinguished). No need to flash it. Actually it wasn't removed for some reason after I flashed the firmware found on sammobile (I am very new to flashing). Anyway if you do this please let me know what was the package name as I have to make instructions how to remove the thing and I cannot remember the package name and can't find the name on my gadget.

Unable to update Note 3

I bought the phone which was brand new, couple of years ago. I wanted to update it to the latest OS but was unable to do so as it says it was modified.
After extensive research online, i came to know i have to flash the stock rom using Odin. But i am unable to find the stock firmware that matches the codes.
These are the results from *#1234#
AP : N9005XXUBMI7
CP : N9005XXUBMI6
CSC : N9005OJVBMI2
I am unable to trace the stock ROM firmware. Appreciate if anyone could give the link and the instructions if possible.
EDIT: Okay i managed to download the stock ROM of 4.3 from a website and successfully flashed it. But being in 4.3 it says the phone is up to date and has no updates available when i check for new updates

I downloaded the 4.3 OS and installed that matched my version. How do i go for 5.0 as it is not showing in my phone? Do i need to match the version codes as in that website the 5.0 version is not matching my phone version
Use the newest XXU* Version fitting to your home country best. In my case you would need Germany (DBT) because it was a unbranded german phone. Thus I need PDA: N9005XXUGBOK6 and CSC: N9005DBTGBOI1. Because I am NOT using stock at all anymore, I always use the newest BL and MODEM, but in your case just use the most recent Firmware which fits your origin and provider.

Seems like Sri Lanka has a N9005ODD* CSC in recent FWs, but you have a N9005OJV* one used in South Africa and Morocco currently.
So I would try these:
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/62194/N9005XXUGBOK9_N9005OJVGBOI1_XFM (South Africa)
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/61958/N9005XXUGBOK9_N9005OJVGBOI1_MWD (Morocco)
No guarantee though, but in theory it's not interesting at all which FW you use. At least I already used DBT ones and Nordic Country NEE ones and had no problems in the past.
So you could try http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/62526/N9005XXUGBOK6_N9005ODDGBOJ1_SLK (Sri Lanka) too. But as I said, FW update always is a risk and if you don't know how to fix stuff, it can be a nice activity for a whole weekend to fix stuff again.
If you want to be more sure and secure... load https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vndnguyen.phoneinfo and send the stuff shown in "General", "CSC-Code", "Firmware" and "Android" in here. Most interesting is the "Active CSC Code"

THAT is your current one then http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/19509/N9005XXUBMI7_N9005OJVBMI2_XSI/

Seems like Sri Lanka has a N9005ODD* CSC in recent FWs, but you have a N9005OJV* one used in South Africa and Morocco currently.
So I would try these:
sammobile.com/firmwares/download/62194/N9005XXUGBOK9_N9005OJVGBOI1_XFM[ (South Africa)
sammobile.com/firmwares/download/61958/N9005XXUGBOK9_N9005OJVGBOI1_MWD[(Morocco)
No guarantee though, but in theory it's not interesting at all which FW you use. At least I already used DBT ones and Nordic Country NEE ones and had no problems in the past.
So you could try sammobile.com/firmwares/download/62526/N9005XXUGBOK6_N9005ODDGBOJ1_SLK(Sri Lanka) too. But as I said, FW update always is a risk and if you don't know how to fix stuff, it can be a nice activity for a whole weekend to fix stuff again.
If you want to be more sure and secure... load play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vndnguyen.phoneinfo[and send the stuff shown in "General", "CSC-Code", "Firmware" and "Android" in here. Most interesting is the "Active CSC Code"

Isn't the different PDA version a problem?
Nope. PDA version changes from time to time. Check the firmwares for CSC XSI and you will see that they are Android version dependent. Same can be seen for any country.

[UTILITY][CSC][10.10.16][SM-N930F/FD] Flashable CSC Selection V1.2

CSC Selection for SM-N930F/FD devices
What is this for?
CSC stands for Country Specific Code, so every single country (and even different providers in one country) have different codes, for csc features, wallpapers, sounds etc. So it is quit important to have the right csc file on your phone for your provider (so you can have all features which comes with your provider (like wifi calling)).
You may ask yourself now, where can this be flashed on? Basically on every stock based rom, as well as on stock roms (who are rooted of course). So: root and a recovery (custom) are required!
Your current country is not listed below? Send me your stock csc file from sammobile.com (SM-N930F variant) and I will add it!

Wait, so flashing this will give me WiFi calling? I'm in the U.S., too, so if you guys could add U.S. CSC that would be splendid.
Will this work on Note 7 rom ports on S7 Edge?
no open China csc, Jesse say Galaxy Labs are working with China csc

[Q] No OTAs since stock January BTU firmware, possibly CSC issue

I bought the phone in Carphone Warehouse in the UK, unlocked, with Marshmallow at the time. Sadly, I don't remember what CSC I was on at the time, but I am 90% certain it was XEU (UK / Ireland, unbranded).
I was on Nougat beta, officially through OTA and Galaxy Beta Programme app. Once Nougat became available, I flashed final BTU firmware with Odin, including the CSC field because I wanted to reset everything and start from scratch.
BTU DPLT https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s7-edge/SM-G935F/BTU/download/G935FXXU1DPLT/120208/
All good, everything works, apart from OTA updates... I am stuck on January security patch and I do not really know why.
Currently, recovery screen and Phone Info app tells me that I am on XEU, even though I flashed BTU CSC file quite a while ago.
Question is, how do I get OTA back?
Not sure which one am I supposed to download:
BTU DQD7 https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s7-edge/SM-G935F/BTU/download/G935FXXU1DQD7/130721/
XEU DQD7 https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s7-edge/SM-G935F/XEU/download/G935FXXU1DQD7/131369/
...and what packages am I supposed to flash, i.e. just AP field, with or without CSC?
Someone told me to deregister from Beta programme, but the sideloaded app obviously does not work anymore, server errors.

I'm also still also in january security patch. I had read somewhere that it's normal, because this updates are regional updates, so some regions need it more often and others don't. No need to worry about.

Hi, I'm not sure it will help you but when I flashed to the BTU CSC from Virgin's VIR I had to do it twice, the first time I used the home CSC because I wanted to keep my files, but then found out I was still on Virgin's CSC. I then flashed it again but used the regular CSC and started from scratch and it worked. I've been getting the updates ever since. As for which files you should use, I think I used all of them included in the folder that I downloaded from SamMobile.
