so im wondering where start?any thoughs?i guess the first i need its root i used have WM so im kind new on andorid S: any help or point me where start will be fine, i see a desire rom on NO but i want to know what miss?since is alpha/beta versions but what miss in each one?i want try this roms i want a desire but tooo much money for me =X i cant affors but its nice having a porting here so if someone can tell me wich one its the most stable?or what rom recommend (desire)or normal one.
and what miss or fail in desire roms pls thanks a lot, its a new world for me since i was in windows mobile and now im like WOW how i should start :S

First give it a few days and be sure to test all the hardware, bluetooth, wifi, etc to make sure your phone does not have any factory defects. While you are waiting read up on how to unlock your phone, how to root it, how to install a recovery, and how to flash a rom. The desire ports are still a little behind the curve but expect that to change before too long. Bluetooth would be the biggest problem with the desire ports for me, I cant speak for others. CM and enomther (roms) are both as stable as stock. Both will be seeing an update in the near future. Welcome to android.
I just picked up my Nexus One at FedEx this afternoon and so far I love the phone, maybe in a few days I may root it and start having some fun with it.

Everything is much harder to buy in Mexico than here in the US, I know I am a US citizen but I was born in Mexico. Super low wages make it hard to buy any gadget or toy they may want or need. That's why I really don't want to discourage him, I have been in his place a long time ago.

its so strange , i know that the x10 has 4 inches display , which is 0.2 inches bigger than the htc touch hd , but it seems to me when i see the x10 on pictures that the display is too small , i dont know why lol , and the black one looks looks bigger than the white one (display)... and id like to buy the white one , cause i just had black phones

Congrats mate, ive read alot about the x10 and i will not buy it cuz:

and on the videos it seemed to lag alot :S, for 800 bucks it should be neat and fast and finaly alot of speculations are made at Iphone 4g/fourth generation that will if lucky have two options either with hw keyboard or without (i dont belive it will have a keyboard), but anyways with a 5mp camera on twice the speed if 3gs, twice stronger battery on the 4g it would certanly be a catch since im getting it for free (brother lost bet )

all those videos were of pre production units without finished software.. so duh it's not gonna be fast and neat. and if you've been watching the newer vids *from japan* it's gained a lot of speed.

u should really save your iphone braggin for a forum that cares about it..
x10 - not yet
i have Motorola Milestone and HTC Hero and X1 to play with and test all roms. X10 will come with Donut 1.6 and considering whats on offer right now isn't worth the money. the hype on this phone is dying daily and SE needs to pull something out of the hat to resurrect it. not due till April on Vodafone UK and by then next gen Iphone will be making its way out. This phone will be drowned by whats available now and at the time of release. its a lovely looking phone but thats not enough anymore. Acer Liquid is so nice looking but so crap its unreal. i'd hold off for a few months after release see if SE plan any software updates for this thing

I believe it would be KH3.
I'm still on stock and mine has only updated to KH2.

Is it newer than the KG[X] series of firmware? But basing from the alphabet, it should be.
I'm currently on XXKG1, but I think data connection with this firmware is kinda unstable.

I think so. When I updated to KH2, I noticed my battery lasts longer. I'm currently on 64% for 28 hours unplugged.
I've used minor gps and wifi here and there. Some calls. Mostly texts.. and admiring the screen.

The X sales here are in full swing. I bought mine on day 14 (10 days after launch) and it was very hard to find it. The big stores already are with their empty inventory.

The OLED is not looking good. It is your fault for not testing the device correctly. And it also has burn-in. Nice. You sir need a new display. And an original one, not china fakes.

Da, am cetățenie română, și așa cum vezi, știu și românește, am avut și nume românesc până când m-am mutat permanent în Japonia. Am cetățenie română, britanică și japoneză.
Yeas, I have Romanian citizenship, and I can speak romanian as you can see above. I had a romanian (well, roman/latin alphabet) name, until I moved to Japan, where I took my ancestor's family name. And yeah, the world is ever so small.
By the way, i can speak English, Romanian and Japanese.

Its not really burned out, but more like has burn-in and has a yellow tint due to some unfortunate event.

Yeah that, but it's more like the opposite on a burn-in compared to a typical CRT or Plasma display. It is also the reason why I ditched Samsung phones as they (display type) are not a wise choice for people off contract, or wanting to keep their phones for more than a year.
