its so strange , i know that the x10 has 4 inches display , which is 0.2 inches bigger than the htc touch hd , but it seems to me when i see the x10 on pictures that the display is too small , i dont know why lol , and the black one looks looks bigger than the white one (display)... and id like to buy the white one , cause i just had black phones
well i would like to know... reffering to Romdev, if u think its gonna b possible 2 flash it with wm en 1 of the niice ROMS in here?

Congrats mate, ive read alot about the x10 and i will not buy it cuz:

and on the videos it seemed to lag alot :S, for 800 bucks it should be neat and fast and finaly alot of speculations are made at Iphone 4g/fourth generation that will if lucky have two options either with hw keyboard or without (i dont belive it will have a keyboard), but anyways with a 5mp camera on twice the speed if 3gs, twice stronger battery on the 4g it would certanly be a catch since im getting it for free (brother lost bet )

all those videos were of pre production units without finished software.. so duh it's not gonna be fast and neat. and if you've been watching the newer vids *from japan* it's gained a lot of speed.

u should really save your iphone braggin for a forum that cares about it..
x10 - not yet
i have Motorola Milestone and HTC Hero and X1 to play with and test all roms. X10 will come with Donut 1.6 and considering whats on offer right now isn't worth the money. the hype on this phone is dying daily and SE needs to pull something out of the hat to resurrect it. not due till April on Vodafone UK and by then next gen Iphone will be making its way out. This phone will be drowned by whats available now and at the time of release. its a lovely looking phone but thats not enough anymore. Acer Liquid is so nice looking but so crap its unreal. i'd hold off for a few months after release see if SE plan any software updates for this thing

Totally agreed.
The next Xperia even if it dont has a good design is a hardware upgrade of x1 with a lot of nice stuff like tv out, bigger screen accelleration sensor and so on.
It looks like also that it will have the same cpu like the x1 and that mean that we can run every XPERIA X1 ROM also on the next XPERIA Phone. For sure it would be also cheaper and would have a better quallity as we know it from se.
I dont know exactly why people say such bad things about the next xperia.
It looks like they dont understand some things.
If i had to buy a new phone the new Xperia and not the old Xperia would be one of my first choices.
These jackasses have an X10 clone now as well. Not so blatant with the SE logos as they did with the X2 and Aino versions, but it's still a copy of the X10 and the video is also referring to the X10 name.

Well i have one in my family(My brother)..
Its not so different than X10(apart from screen,camera and Android version).. I would strongly suggest to stick with your X10 and wait for next generation devices to hit the market.. You will have more to play with once 2.1 rolls out for X10 or we have some good news in Dev. thread..
If you are the type who ***** and moan about Android version in the X10 then do yourself and us a favour, take the NexusOne and never comeback here, but if you're not bothered about its Android version and appreciate what it has to offer and has over the others then stick to your X10

If it's a straight trade without paying extra $$.. then go for it.
I believe you can resell it (if you don't like it) for a better value compare with X10 (at least in our market).
If I were offered the deal, I'd take it...I'm looking for a similar trade, but haven't found any yet unfortunately...
I think you should just wait for the update to come! Maybe your thoughts will change if you get 2.0 Ik hope my X10 will feel brand new after the update!

im trading with a typical end user, takes care of his phone, makes phone calls, loves taking photografs so he rly doesnt care about things heavy users need, coming to think of it its rly easy to trade ur phone

If you want the design and the slick UI and don't mind waiting for updates then keep the X10.
If you want to have 2.2 as soon as possible for the speed improvements and flash 10 then go for the Nexus.
Simply go for Nexus One.............
Remember, its harder to type with Nexus One than with X10 because of smaller screen
Just stick to X10, Nexus One looks boring and ugly...

I traded away my nexus one after it got froyo for a X10.....I haven't looked back! X10 is better imo.

Having come from the N1 to the X10 I can tell U IMO the N1 is nothing special & as a phone was actually worse, outgoing sound quality according to friends was terrible. Maybe they fixed some issues with the recent 2.21 update but I think U will be disappointed with the N1.
Both the same imo. You will lose bigger screen for multitouch and that's it.

X10 sounds terrible to me too. so let's consider this even.
nexus one is the google developement phone so you are guranteed the newest updates (always the 1st phone to obtain updates) and it has MT
another factor is that im a big fan of physical buttons on the x10 vs the ones on the nexus one
You have to ask your self why you bought your X10 and then you can decide and consider every thing.

Because the Desire has smaller screen, amoled, 5mp camera, its ugly compared to x10 and it doesnt have real multitouch! It has the same dual touch that N1 with the cross axis problemhas and its absolutely the same with the one that x10 will have. Also Htc phones are known for bad cameras and bad audio quality so i dont think any Htc is better than any SE, and if you think that is the case wth did you buy an SE phone? Now gtfoh we dont need trolls like you. And to OP i think you should post in Market and not here.

SE Phones are way better, they just can't keep up with android fast iterations.
Anyway, I'm enjoying a very good implementation of android 2.1 on my Xperia X10i now.
About multitouch, i guess this is the same problem the nexus one had when i got multitouch.(Just guessing)

If you had a Desire Z I'd immediately trade mine. Heck, I'd almost trade for an original Desire if it were new but you live a little ways away (I'm in Canada) and we probably don't have matching bands anyway.

Well you come here to an x10 forum and post uselless coments like htc is better than se.. no one asked you and everyone has opinions regarding whats better than what. Because htc is build better thats why the owners of the flagship device DHD are complaining about the really ****y speakerphone the missalined unicover, the really bad camera, the headphone jack on the bottom, the space gap between the battery cover , camera and the unibody and the screen edges raised? And thats what you call built better? Anyway lets stop this useless posts and please dont post tings like that in the future. I dont know why, but I have a feeling that there is some malicious agency at work trying to make xperia look trash. It is without doubt an awesome experience. And as long as you have it, why complain?

Damn at least a month before it is released here. I will be joining you soon Yeah it is definitely a great choice.
Got a message today that a phone recycling company has agreed to pay me the full working price for my mobo afflicted X10. So I only lost £2 on the deal. My 26 days with the X10 showed me A) What a good phone the X10 could be with the right ROM (tried 2 Froyos and 1 Éclair all very good) and B) How crap SE are – I had both stock 2.1 and 1.6 on the X10 and both were sh*te, never mind the bloody hardware fault. I can confidently say that will (and have) continue to opt for Android it wont be a SE handset.
OP – Had a play with a SG SII last night, very nice and what a screen. I am jealous as my replacement for the X10 is a ZTE Blade lol. Still at least the blade can function in warm weather unlike that bloody X10.
So goodbye for now XDA, I will return with something different to the Blade in October when I upgrade.
