Phone Registry editing on a PC? - Touch CDMA General

The title says it all. This may be a silly question but can you edit your phone's Registry on your PC via ActiveSync?

You can back up your registry and open it up in the PC with a PC reg editor. Alternatively, you can use MyMobiler which will give you full control of the device from the PC.

How to make a shortcut to "connect" (GPRS/EDGE)

Is there faster way to connect to GPRS/EDGE instead of entering Settings->Connections->Manage->Connect ?
The closest I have been able to come is to use spb's function shortcuts and place the connection panel on my today screen. Then click-manage my connections.
You could just load PIE?
it loads automatically whenever any program needs it.
or there is a registry hack that will keep you connected.

I think the best way is to make a shortcut to "connections"....

I tested it with some numbers, but no luck. Too bad
Even if You kill activesync after disconnect (I'm using quickmenu to do this) after some minutes activesync starts again.
Anyone has a solution for this?
bye
Crash - Try this:

AppSentry
AppSentry was made just for this reason. It can kill activesync and other apps on a regular basis. The link is in my signature.
It doesn't require you to run it, it runs itself. And it does not run in background so takes no memeory when it is not running.
solution?
ASyncKiller
This application allows to kill the ActiveSync process when it's in idle state but it just hold in memory...

Help Needed: Registy change disabled touch screen

Dear All,
I messed my device by reducing
HKLM\Drivers\Touchpanel\Pressure Threshold
to 400. After restart, the touch screen is TOTALLY non functional (OK I accept, its a blunder ). Is there a solution without hard rest?.
I have tried several "Remote" registry editors to restore the value. Mobile Registry Editor gives "Access denied" error. Other softwares require something to be installed to the device.... I cant activate the "yes" required during installation.
Any advice/suggestion is most welcome!
Best regards,
Waqar.
what about this one?

maybe you have total commander installed on your device? it has a registry editor under "plugins"... comfortable enough to edit all your needs

Thanks! But it has same problem of "Access Denied". There is an unlock tool, but it still needs running something on PDA, which ends up demanding a "Yes" response on my PDA, which I cant do without touch!
Thanks again!

yes, at least navigating should work, if u go to the folder at the very top and hit the "LEFT" key then it moves on directory up until you reach "plugins" and from there to your regkey, but I tried to edit/alter the file with the hardkeys only, and yeah it didnt work... *sigh*
my last thought is that you could ask someone to send you a .reg file via MMS/Bluetooth/e-mail with the right setting of 11000 and you just run that .reg file to alter the value... hope it helps.

bluetooth explorer / send file

Greetings,
I recently upgraded my Mogul to the OFFICIAL (from htc.com) wm 6.1 ROM which I had hoped would include similar bluetooth functionality that the touch came stock with, however it does not. Does anyone know how to enable bluetooth file sending and / or browsing? I have a MacBook Pro running MacOS 10.5 and with my HTC Touch I was able to send files and browse the device via bluetooth, however I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do this on my mogul.
Settings=>Connections=>Bluetooth=>FTP.
OBEX-FTP can also be enabled by registry;
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\OBEX
DWORD, IsEnabled. Set to 1 to turn on, 0 to turn off.

I had that tab on my touch but not on this mogul.
Then enable it via registry.

Remote Desktop

So, obviously you can access your computer from your Leo, which I've done.
But I was wondering if the opposite was possible i.e. accessing your Leo's screen from my laptop ?
Look forward to replies !

This also works through WiFi. Just right-click on the MyMobiler tray icon on your computer and click on 'connect IP'. If you enter your phone's ip there it'll connect...
