2.1 Leak randomly restarting

Hello everyone. I'm not sure if this has been posted, I did a search, and didn't see anything related to my issue. I installed the newest 2.1 leak, and my phone will randomly just power itself off. I've wiped the memory and reinstalled a few times. I'm just running the basic system, with Handcent, Pdanet, Droid Live lite, and Astro file manager installed on it. Any suggestions as to what may be causing the problem, or what I can do to try to fix it?
Leak is a curse word around these parts. you said you "wiped" a few times. are you on ROOT? if so, you shouldnt be using the plain root. you should download a ROM, (Ivans 0.8T2, Senseable, Evil Eris...) put it on your sdcard, wipe, then flash one of those. So IF you have ROOT, then change your thread title, otherwise people such as myself may get medieval on you.
Out of curiousity, why shouldn't one use plain root? I have yet to flash a ROM because none of the ROMs seem to be bug free. Am I wrong?

the plain root is more buggy than any ROM actually. Ivan's rom has fixed some bugs (not sure which, sorry. but hes trustworthy) and Senseable is just a themed version of Ivans rom. you're better off with a ROM since devs are always working to fix bugs. some but (like the signal standy issue) probably wont be fixed unless HTC releases a newer update for the official release.

I9505 Problem

Hello good people of XDA i own a gs4 for about a year. Absolutelyawesome phone, ... But recently i've had some problem.
Ok so let me explain if i was to lock my phone for longer time not touch it (1 hour or half an hour) when i unlock touchwizz freezes tho i can use things like notification bar.
So i tried fixing it. it happened to me before
- my phone is rooted
-it's not the battery
The only thing that helps is install a custom rom or install a custom rom and then revert to stock.
And i do root the phone, i know i can fix it clean install custom rom then stock rom, but i really have a lot of stuff on my phone.
I am using stock rom all the time and it could be that the problem is Root or something i really dont have a clue
I apologize if i posted incorrectly please let me know if you have a soulution im glad to take it

I dont think its the battery because you see if i install custom rom then stock its fixed for about 2 weeks then it "comes back" the problem
Idk i can try with a new battery maybe it'll do the trick

OxygenOS 3 Black screen after reboot

Hello!
Ever since trying out the first OO3 Beta (3.0.0) I have gotten a weird bug, flashing the ROM works fine and everything works all the way until I reboot my phone. It loads through the bootanimation and then it just has a black screen and you can see the notification bar flash every 5 seconds or so. This issue also come up on the newest 3.0.1 beta.
I've tried different ways of flashing using the modified recovery and the modified supersu (also without the supersu) but I still get the same issue. I've tried different OO3 ROMs as well like Skydragon and CyanOxy but I get the same bug.
I haven't seen anyone post something about the same issue so I figured I'd ask, sorry if this already has been answered and I missed it.
Thanks in advance.
Same happend to me, always get that black screen, try to reboot once you are in it, works for me.
I've tried rebooting a few times and still got the same result, unfortunately.
Thanks for the advice anyways!
Hi,
I'm facing exactly same issue since new OTA update...
Did you manage to fix it?
Hey Endoloris.
I haven't been able to fix it yet unfortunately. I've really tried almost everything at this point which makes me think there's something odd with the hardware, but I don't really know.
I'll update this thread if I fix it.
Have you uninstalled the Google Search app?? Every time I trie to uninstall the Google app I get the same problem. Now I just let it on my phone.
Edit:
Have you flashed the right firmware for OxygenOS 3??

Yes, I've tried both those options. I've tried pretty much everything. I even tried restoring the phone to stock 2.2.1 and then updating via OTA and I still got the same issue.
So the weird thing is that I get the same issue on the new Paranoid Android ROM released today.

Really strange...sorry,but Ican't help you then. Maybe you ask one of the devs with pm.

Are you realy sure, that you flashed the right TWRP and firmware?? Or do you use a custom kernel.
Sorry, my last ideas...
I did try different firmwares, it didn't work at all with the old ones for obvious reasons. I tried the twrp 3.0.2 Hybrid, a custom recovery when the first Oxygen 3 beta came out (was orange), and I tried the recovery made by Grarak recently. I also tried using stock recovery and flashing.
No custom kernel, I've tried flashing with the modified Supersu but I was thinking that it might be causing the issue so I tried without root and I still got the same result.
In the same boat here, was running official CM, then this happened.

Did the PE1 update fix the High Android System usage? Is it safe to update with root?

I rooted my phone with the correct methods as in the threads below mine, and I purposely havent updated my phone for a while, just in case the root would only work for older system versions.
I'm just curious to know if, now that I'm rooted, is it safe to update to PE1, and will it fix the Android System battery drain? I've also downloaded all the root fixes too, as well as the Debloat, so my original System Updates app doesn't work anymore.
I would love to get just some answers from the pros on this before possibly bricking or boot looping my amazing phone.
Thanks!
*bump* Hate to bump, but does anyone know this question? After flashing all the fixes, I notice my battery still kinda goes down somewhat fast when in use and sometimes a bit fast when the screen is off.

I don't know if PE1 fixes the drain but it can be rooted and downgraded if needed. Same thing for the newest PF2 firmware I have here.
I have the same problem idk what to do if PE1 fixes the battery drain I'll gladly update if not I might have to go back to stock and just stay on it unless someone can find a way to unlock bootloader so we can get custom roms (only reason I wanted root tbh)
So I can just take the update now, WHILE rooted and I'll be fine? Will I have to re-root after the update is done, or do I just continue using it as normal?
Will I have to re-flash the new fixes for the PE1 version and stuff? Since I have flashed the old NON-PE1 fixes, will this brick my phone when updating to PE1?

Is the latest update safe to install?

Hello, i was wondering if the latest update, OxygenOS 11.0.10.10.IN11AA, is safe to install. I remember a few months ago there were people having problems with the update breaking stuff so i haven't updated my phone since, although I think it might have automatically updated even though I didn't want it to. So i wanted to know if people were having problems with it and if so, what were the problems. I would have asked on oneplus' forum but my understanding is that they close threads that mention or imply there might be a problem with their products, so I ask here.

I dont think OP is closing threads pointing out problems or searching for solutions.
Anyway i dont have any problems with the latest updates. Just make sure to prepare magisk before the ota.

Yes there's nothing wrong with the latest update... Battery is on par with previous versions, as is performance, no visual additions or added features......no change
