Device is locked but is not :S - Touch2 General

Hi,
my Touch2 (T-Mobile D) seems to be not SIM-Locked.
i can use another SIM Card.
BUT just for calling
If i want to change the internet or SMS settings it stated "The connection is preconfigured. The connection cannot be changed" (Diese Verbindung ist vorkonfiguriert. Die Verbindung kann nicht geändert werden.)
Is there any way to change that behaviour?
I tried to use the official HTC Image, but this does not work due to vendor ID.
I tried also to use another HTC Connection setup where other providers in the database (originally there is just T-Mobile). But the app hung on start
So i did a hard reset.
Now i'm searching for a way to unlock this function.
cheers

Got it
Life can be so easy
Just had a look in the registry.
there is the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\ConnMgr\Destinations\T-Mobile Internet
The DWORD "ReadOnly" was set to 1
After changed it to 0 everything is fine.
Cheers

O2 Homezone Tool and GPRS

Hi folk,
I'm using a MDA II with an O2 network in germany.
In germany O2 has the nice feature of homezone (a special zone with extra rates).
The homezonetool (30032install.ARM.CAB) shows you if you are in a special area if you have now discout prices.
Install the tool and homezone is installed as sevice (ohz.dll) and it's works.....
... but now I'm wondering why I can't make any GPRS connection. The "G" is not shown.... Making a GSM internet connection is no problem, only GPRS is not working.
Does anyone knows what happens when I install the DLL. I checked the installer, there is only one exe (for turning on and off), two bmp-files and one dll.
Here the registry:
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\OHZ]
"Dll"="OHZ.dll"
"Prefix"="OHZ"
"Order"=dword:00000064
"Keep"=dword:00000001
"Index"=dword:00000000
"Context"=dword:00000000
"DisplayName"="o2 HomeZone"
"Description"="o2 HomeZone Service"

I've got the same problem until I put my pay as you go sim and hard reset the xda2i (please back up your set up first.) GPRS on xda2I in my opinion, works only on contract sim, but you could experiment by selecting pre pay rather than post pay even if you have a contract sim card on gprs settings at final stages of hard reset.
Hello, I feel the English poor man, is a translation of google. I have one qtek s100 and use the following method, proves uses you for your machine.

REG HACK - Turn off GPRS totally (and back to working state) without going to setting

REG HACK - Turn off GPRS totally (and back to working state) without going to settings
1: You need a Registry editor ( eg. Resco Explorer )
2: Find the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ConnMgr\Providers\{7C4B7A38-5FF7-4bc1-80F6-5DA7870BB1AA}\Connections\
3: under that , you should see you GPRS settings , for example , mine 's OPTUS GPRS Internet , OPTUS GPRS MMS etc , pick the right one and export it to the *.REG file, and name it to something like " GPRS ON.reg "
4: Modify the setting inside ( for example OPTUS GPRS Internet ) , and change the Enabled value from 1 to 0, then export it to GPRS OFF.reg
use the GPRS ON /OFF .reg to toggle between GPRS always off and on when required.
Happy Registry editing

MMS - keine WAP-Push Notification

Dear community,
The problem I'm describing within this post has not existed all the time, but approx. occurred the first time three months ago. Not even a hard-reset was able to solve this problem.
As I have read about every post within google which could be related to this issue, I'm not very confident to find a solution - you're my last chance. Thanks very much in advance!
To summarize my problem regarding my WM5 PPC, XDA Neo (Qtek S200)
*) My PPC does receive the MMS Push notifications but
*) I don't see the MMS Push notification
I had contact with my cell-phone provider (tele.ring, Austria) and we went through the server logs of some MMS I had sent and received:
First of all to summarize: yes, all my settings are correct, yes I am able to send MMS and yes, MMS with this provider SIM card and this PPC have already worked some months ago.
*) So when I receive a MMS, my provider sends out a MMS Push notification (X-WAP-Content-URI tag), which will provide me the URL specifying the message id of the MMS to get.
*) The logs of my provider clearly state, that my PPC received this MMS Push notification
*) However my PPC does not display it to me or react somehow else (e.g. by blinking, flashing up, etc.)
So, yesterday I created a hard-reset on my S200 (setting back to the original O2 branding), then first of all configured the MMS settings for my provider (tele.ring) and sent a MMS to my cellphone
--> Same Problem: My mobile does not signal or display the MMS Push Notification. However it is possible to send MMS.
So the things I am hoping you can help me with are:
*) Is there a program for WM5 to show all incoming notifications (wap-push, sms, etc.)
*) Is it possible to see the related Push-Notification log files.
*) It may be possible that my branded O2 software has a filtering policy for wap-push in place?
*) Is it possible that the software I am currently using has not properly registered as MMS subscriber?
*) When it comes to receivingother (non-MMS related) wap-push messages, I had to change the setting of the "HKLM\security\policies\policies" registry entry to the value "4095", as otherwise no wap-push would have been displayed. Are there any other registry entries that need to be modified?
I am currently using the ARCSoft MMS composer as default messaging client in the version 3.0.7.20, and some months ago this has already worked with exactly the same phone and MMS configuration data.
Thanks for giving me a hint,
kr Andrew
Folgende ROM habe ich in Betrieb:
ROM-Version: 2.15.4.29 GER
ROM-Datum: 3/9/06
Well I've now been trying to solve this problem described above for quite a while and the most reasonable solution seemed to flash my ROM to the Qtec 2.20 version.
Update: Remember, I told you I thought that my XDA Neo was not able to receive MMS Wap-Push notifications. Well today (without having changed any settings) I looked at the website http://www.aql.com/ where you're able to test/send Wap-Push Notifications and MMS. Well just imagine, I've sent this mms, my neo received the mms-wap-push notification and started downloading the message......
--> Although it failed, throwing the message: "Startfehler! Nachrichten können nicht empfangen werden", this however is a highlight for me.
BUT: still, sending MMS from any other Austrian cell-phone or web-mms does not succeed and no notification arrives.
So my question: Are these operators may be using newer versions or other technologies for MMS-notification delivery than wap-push messages?
Thanks for your hints,
kr Andrew

t-mobile locks dataconnection to there network, on german devices!

hi,
like the headline say, t-(in)mobile has locked ther hd2 by removing the entries to make a new (or change the existing) gprs/3g connection in the connection manager. instead the placed a text there saying 'you cannot have other dataconections then t-(in)mobile with this device', and hardcoded there t-mobile dialin entries to the registry.
is there any chance bei copying some .dll files or regkeys, to get back the entries in the connection manager. because without this all this devices are pretty useless for businesstrips etc.
greetings mad
