How can I...

Hi everybody,
I have some questions about modifying polaris:
1. How can I disable the battery-symbol in the title?
2. How can I make my Polaris be turned of after getting a new sms?
3. How can I enlarge the Symbols in the program-menue?

1. Schap's Advanced Config Tool ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=317070 ) has an option to replace the battery icon with a clock/date.
2. I use S2U2 ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=381588 ) with the options "Lock when device wakes up" and "Power Off in [10s]" set, so that the phone switches on to receive the text, and switches off 10 seconds later if I don't unlock it. This also saves the odd time when the phone gets switched on accidentally in my pocket - it switches off again in 10s unless I slide to unlock, saving power.

The stock ROM comes with an application that enables large icons in the start menu. (It also makes the icons in the bar at the top larger so that it's finger friendly. It's also been found that turning this off improves navigation speed in the device).

[APP]Diamond & S2U2

It's found there are several issues when running S2U2 on Diamond. An intermidiate fix is that:
1. Disable DirectDraw will prevent the occasional blank screen;
2. Enable NoBackLightCheck (it's only valid in v1.05 or later; create a DWORD value with name NoBackLightCheck and value 1 under \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\A_C\S2U2; restart iLock2) will make IdleStart works again.
Known issues:
1. CallerID does not work.
2. Home key cannot be locked.
3. "S2U2 Settings" has error when it's scrolling about half the way.
UPDATE on 29 July:
A new version of S2U2 v1.10 is released at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=412418.
For optimal usage with Diamond, make sure you grab the VGA version & turn on "Don't double check Backlight" at the S2U2 Settings.

Had the same problem with zooming, did not found the bugs with s2u2 yet but if you say soo... Is there a version for Daimond of s2u2 en s2v coming??

thank you for yr concern. the only thing that real bother me is my diamond always answering my calls due to the pressure from the belt case. i realy hate that. i miss s2u2 soooooo much. please do something. no need of gifs or fancy clocks. only a slide to unlock and caller id that works with the diamond. please!...

for callerID, if you use advanceconfig to disable the phone skin, then it works! But your diamond-style dialpad will disappear.

I just installed S2U2 on my diamond.
When my device is locked, i can access my device when i press the home key. so basically, it is not ''locked''.
any idea how to disable all hardware buttons during locked up?

i been playing around with it for the last hour, had 3 calls and a few sms, all working perfectly, now whos for coffee

Same issue for me... I use the TF3D weather...

I don't know why my Diamond touch screen was disable when I lock it with the new version 1.10b? Cannot slide to unlock? I've uninstall my older version, delete all the file/ reg. and install the new version. Can anyone told me what to do? Thank you so much and I love this software very much!!!

[problem] WM 6.5 slide lock problem: UNKNOWN CALLER ID when in suspend/power off mode

there is a problem with WM6.5 roms lock slider:
if a call comes in & the lock is active but the phone is in suspend (power off or manually pressed the power button) the call will show "unknown caller"
you will not see the name until you answer od then you can see it later as missed call
this is annoying as you can not screen the calls & answer/ignore the ones you like
the slider lock will show the name only if the sceen has not turned off yet (did not enter suspend mode yet)
is there any fix out there?
I am thinking if someone knows how to make the screen light dim firest the turn off only (without power off / suspend) then it will work
anyone has a registry tweak to just turn screen off & leave the ppc running without suspend?
or any other fix????
i like to use the wm6.5 lock, i know i can use S2U2 but i prefer this one & hope we can fix it

i use Chobit Company SmartLock and HTC phone Canvas...
HTC phone canvas is first to present ID caller then in communication WM6.5 lock is activate by Suspend mode in communication... because Chobit Smartlock is in use... other i have the same issue like You...
unknown caller with WM6.5 lock when it s suspend mode...
i agree, if anybody knows how to solve this problem... i buy it !

hmm i couldn't get the smartlock to work for me on my xperia
i used CsDevCtrl and it's sorta working... it auto locks my device if the backlight turns off or if i manually put it in suspend mode *power off button* and locks on wake up.... has a bunch of features i'd never use so it's a bit more complex than i'd like. but even with that auto lock i still get the unknown caller... i'll have to read more about htc phone canvas.. i'm not really liking the xperia dialer anyway... never have...
p.s. while we are on this topic of wm 6.5 screen lock... anyone else notice that alarms sometimes don't display the minutes if the phone is locked ? the slider works and everything for snooze and dismiss... but... it just shows the hour of the alarm.. and then dots like "10:...." even though the alarm is for 10:25...? plz post if you are also havin this problem...
again tho.. these problems might just because it's not the offical build yet... these problems may be worked out with an offical release... nothing i can't live with at the momemnt

so i still have no luck with this unknown caller ID issue
i am sure someone knows the registry tweak..as many programs just use screen off
for example media player as you can play music while screen is off
or S2U2 can lock / turn off screen but leave phone working unsuspended

I've noticed this also but if you use a dialer that has its own slide to unlock then it tends to work fine..at least for me anyway..
It does take about 2 seconds for it to go from unknown caller to who it actually is though..

Hmmm, after showing Unknown for the Caller ID this morning, now the caller ID is showing up on wake. Strange. Only thing I have done was install the sdkcerts cab. I'll test further.

Use a registry editor and go to HKCU\Control Panel\Phone\CalIidMatch value is by default 8, i.e 8 Digits. Change that to 7 and soft reset.
I will test and see if it helps, it used to help w/wm6.1.....

i did not notice that i guess because i did not the alarm with lock screen before
but thanks for pointing it out
i fixed the problem
all what you need is to unzip the attached file..use the 2 files inside to replace the ones in "\windows" folder
i used resco explorer to replace because they are protected windows files
then soft-reset...everything works better after that & shows full clock & am/pm too

the fix was simple & there the whole time and i did not know...
its good...not perfect (should work by itself) but at least now i know who is calling

i have eten rom build 21501 & on other phone 21510 and both have same problem

I tested this out, no help. But the power button trick works...hmmm. I wonder what's going on and why this works?

although i haven't yet had the chance to check since my latest ROM update if it was just the rom or 6.5... but i'll test and reply with results THX AGAIN!
p.s. i wonder if above mentioned power button trick will work with my alarm situation on the lock screen.. willl also investigate!

it stops cutting in and out... doesn't do it if the device isn't locked....

Yes. I notice that the cuts happen when the video plays (the small arrows to the left and right of the slider) Once that times out, the music is contiuous.

Thanks!! this worked for me. Using "Udk WM6.5 BETA2 21500 - base v2.04" (device= Touch Diamond)

Auto-lock and Hard Button utility

A quick note to tell that CSDEVCTRL works perfectly on the Rhodium. Not only it is a light unlocking application enhancing the WM unlocking, but it is incredibly useful, with a number of goodies not related to unlocking. The hard button utility is highly configurable, it can work even when phone is locked (if you wish). I use it to toggle wifi or set bluetooth off, in order to save battery. AEButtonPlus did not identify buttons correctly on the Rhodium, but this one does.

PS: the bluetooth toggle does not work at the moment due to the Rhodium stack, I use the hotkey utility to launch TurnBTOff.exe in \WIndows in order to set BT off.

CSDEVCTRL locks the phone while having a call. So U cannot end your call bevor unlock again ...

This is a setting (I guess it prevents your ear to hang up when touching the screen on some phones), you can put it the way you like (in "Lock Triggers", uncheck "Lock During Call"). You can also set it so that only soft keys are locked.

Well, locked/freeze my phone a couple of times. Personally, not recommended. Don't really works well.

Well, I forgot to say that it does not look compatible with TF3D (I do not use TF3D). It is fully compatible with SPB Mobile Shell. I used it with "WM Today". Sorry !
Also the settings are not so easy to figure out : If you have a foreign Rom (French Orange for me), most important is to write the title displayed in at the top when Unlock Window is shown (Déverrouiller instead of UNLOCK for me)in the Unlock Triggers window, the same with Phone (Téléphone for me) in the Lock Triggers window).

Disable Hardware Keys

Hi Folks,
I´m still looking for a way to disable the hardware-keys while the devide is in sleepmode. Only the Powerbutton should wake up the device. And also only the screen-slider should answer or dismiss an incoming call....
I cant believe that there ist still no solution for this problem....
And please dont answer me with: use s2U2 or other 3rd Party stuff... there must be an other way to do so

I'm also interested in this. Why wake up the phone with another button then the one who put it in sleep in first place. I find it strange. Like if I put the light off in the kitchen then opened the fridge the kitchen light will come on. who would like that ???
Can someone find a solution for this I search everywhere with no satisfying result.
I newly updated my Topaz from 6.1 to 6.5.3 and I can't recall that I had this problem in 6.1 and i had 6.1 for over 1 year.
I would say that this issue has nothing with screen lock to do it's rather an issue with wake-up (What shall wake up the phone from sleeping status : a call, sms, mms, mail, hardware key, power button etc...)
Just when I decided to post my problem I found it's solution:
Set HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Keybd\DefaultKeyLock to 0.
Now nothing wakes-up the phone except the power button.

Well I know after posting for about 3 - 4 hours I got the problem back myself not understanding what I have done to get the problem back. Yesterday evening I spent all night trying to figure this out. I have CHT Lock screen enable + BharS_OBOE_Lock_Disable.Cab. I need this cab because I have Huashan lockscreen built in my rom. And the cab allows me to use the CHT lock screen. To solve my problem I have done the following:
1) Disable CHT lockscreen
2) Uninstalled the Cab
3) made sure the registry setting was there and problem solved.
3.1) reinstalled the cab
3.2) enabled the CHT Lockscreen
Still working...
4) Went to power option the win 6.5 setting just to take a look (didn't change a thing)
5) Problem returned.
Start all over again to solve my problem.
For now on I'm staying out of the power option in win 6.5 setting.
There is nothing you can do there anyway until CHT lock screen come with an option for enabling password on lock.
I'm sorry I don't have any scientific explanation for this. But till now I can say I have solved my problem hope it solves yours

No, this couldn´t solve my Problems, because i use CHT 1.6.1 and this version doesn´t have any Lockscreen options.
The real Point that i can´t understand is: This is still a WinMo 6.5 Version, why is the Menue-point : Lock all buttons except Power on/off not there?
There must be a way to get this point back. I can´t belive that we have an extra written WinMo Version for the HD2...
So, where is the registry setting to get back the point?
