Help using my o2 xda as a usb modem with ms vista - JAMin, XDA Neo, S200 General

I have spent the last 2 days on the phone with o2 about this problem. Microsoft Vista does not accept the driver that o2 gave me. The man from o2 had no problem getting vista to accept the driver on his computer.
Is anyone having problems with getting your xda to run as a usb modem with microsoft vista. I would be happy to hear if you have a solution. Thanks

no such issues here...o2 neo workin perfectly as usb as well as bt modem with vista home premium in my lappy.

IRDA XDA II activesync problems

I know there's been much fuss about Bluetooth and activesync but my problem is IRDA. My original XDA used to happily activesync over infrared with my laptop, running Windows 98. The XDA II manages to loose or corrupt its link with the laptop as soon as I try "Connect via IR..."
After many, many tries, I've had zero success Any clues? Is it Windows 98? Is it yet another bug in XDA II firmware?

02 XSA EXEC problems with connecting to pc

Hi, I'm a newbie when it comes to PDA's, I'm trying to do the most simple task of connecting my EXEC to my pc via USB cable but cannot get it to connect to ActiveSync. Ive installed ActiveSync (and reinstalled) from the 02 getting started cd, and when I connect my EXEC it says the usual new hardware detected and comes up with "Multimedia Video Controller" but there are no drivers on cd's to install it. I have read all troubleshooting on the supplied help files and on the ms website but still no luck. Can anyone help me?? Cheers
Matt
Which opperating system are using on the PC?
win XP professional service pack 2
You will find there are many posts in this forum relating to active sync issues. Especially if your PC is running any firewall related s/w.
Apparantly MicroSoft will be bringing out active sync 4,1 at the end of the month to sort this problem out - Mike

Does Vista hate WM5?

Hi
getting to the point of pulling my hair out. I have an Orange M600 running WM5. The only change I have made is to make the GPS icon visible.
I have a new laptop running Vista Home Premium.
I have downloaded the latest version of Windows Mobile Device Centre (WMDC).
When I connect my M600 to my laptop (via USB), the phone screen turns on and the phone starts charging.
But the laptop refuses to recognise that there are any devices attached. No drivers are installed and WMDC does not list any connected devices.
The cable and phone work perfectly with my XP PC but not with the Vista laptop.
This is a little frustrating. Anyone else come across this problem and solved it?
Solved
Finally resolved this.
The USB cable that worked on my XP desktop must have had a fault on it, because a different USB cable on the laptop got it all working fine.
Vista Home Premium/ Windows Mobile Device Centre / WM5 all seem to work together.

Connecting vista laptop to internet via XDA II

I have an old (2004) but still working UK O2 XDA II. It is running the original Windows Mobile 2003 and ROM version 1.7.2.00WWE.I am trying to connect a Dell laptop Inspiron 6400 running Vista to the net via the XDA.
I have installed Windows mobile device center and have tried to connect via a Bluetooth dongle and a USB connection using the O2 cradle supplied. I have set up a Bluetooth connection and tried to connect via this, also the USB connection but to no avail.
Any help with the settings etc would be very much appreciated!
Or is it necessary to be running WM 2005 for this to be possible?
