How can I unlock AT&T SX56? - MDA, XDA, 1010 Software Upgrading

Hi I have the At&t sx56 radio version 6.12. I have the serial cable and tried your software but I could not do it. The program stays on the "reading data from phone" screen.
I could not put the phone on bootloader mode. I kept on pressing the power button but no luck. Maybe I was doing someting wrong. Please can anyone help me? Thanks

You have to press and hold power, and then perform a soft reset by gently pressing the stylus in the larger of the two holes in the bottom of the device. This should make the device enter bootloader mode. If it doesn't, something is broken.

Wallaby bootloader v5.15 when switched on

hi i recently switched on my phone witch worked perfectly ok before i switched it of and left it with my brother.........now when i switch it on and after a bit of fiddleing with the buttons i cant get it to boot up. all it will say is
"Wallaby
bootloader
v5.15 "
when switched on.
When i hit the contact button up the top right hand side
it displays a white screen which has "utilities" on it
When i hit the notes button up the top left hand side
it displays a white screen which has "Flash tools" on it
then it freezes
Whats wrong with it
[/b]
Normaly you enter the bootloader by pressing the power button and sticking in the little hole on the other site than the headset (soft reset).
Since your just pressing the power button, i would say the problem is the soft reset button. Lokks like it doesnt release correctly try sticking in the hole and get it off....

Power button broken!! Need help.

We dropped one of our wing's and now the ONLY thing not working is the power button at the top. I had psshutxp so I mapped "Display Switch" program to my camera button and I am using camera button to turn off the screen.
The problem I have now is when I took the battery out to change the SIM card - I don't have any way to start the phone.
I can hold the camera button and plug into my computer usb and get to the color screen where it shows the SPL and IPL numbers, is there any program or way to reboot the phone from command line, so that it can boot up?.
Please help.
Thanks.
try not holding the camera button when you plug it in.
The camera button links to the bootloader, so by not pressing it, it will skip the bootloader screen and jump to the os.

Hi there;
To get into the bootloader mode, switch phone off and then hold the red/green answer buttons, and then power up the phone, hold this down until you get the 3 different colours on the screen.
*By the way, if anyone more experienced wishes to correct me, feel free*
*Damn Doublepost*
To enter the bootloader:
Hold down the camera button and reset device with the stylus. Keep holding the camera button until you see 'tricolor' bootloader screen.
An alternative way to enter bootloader:
Switch the device off by long pressing O/I (power) button. hold down the camera button while pressing the O/I button about 1 second. Keep holding the camera button until you see 'tricolor' bootloader screen.
Alternative(universal?) bootloader(3)
As almost all htc smartphones with onboard camera, when you push and hold the camera(photo) button, and plug in usb adapter. Even a "stupid" usb power adapter will work.
To hard reset:
Hold down send/reject buttons (green/red at the front) and reset with the stylus; release the stylus but keep holding the buttons till you get 'this will erase all your personal data' message, then press 'action' (big front button) to hard reset.
Good LUck

[Q] How to set into Bootloader mode for HP IPAQ Data messenger

After i performed a Hard Reset for this device, the sreen came out with a weak lighting and no longer logged into windows
When plugging the USB cable with the PC, the signal light was still in red, looked like it was being connected with my PC.
Anyone can show me how to set this device into bootloader mode or perform a hard-buttons Hard Reset?
Highly appreciated for your reading and reply!
Regards,
Dong from Vietnam.
Please give me an advise!
to enter Bootloader mode:
Hold the two buttons next to Send and End + Power, and then press the reset button with stylus
to hard reset:
Hold Send + End + Power and press reset button with stylus should produce a message saying something like all clear.

How to restore N7 with broken screen

Hey guys. I have a N7 with a broken screen I want to sell on ebay ("for parts"). The device's screen is broken... but if someone could fix it the device would work fine. Either way it is impossible to unlock / get into the device because of the broken screen.
I want to wipe the device before the auction ends (so personal info/passwords get deleted etc) but cannot figure out how to do a factory reset via usb.
Can someone help me out on the steps I would take to do this? Any help is greatly appreciated.

You can follow the below steps if you can see the screen but not interact with it:
1.If your tablet is on, power it off.
2.Press and hold Power until the device powers on, then immediately press and hold Volume Down (while still pressing Power). You will see the word Start with an arrow drawn around it.
3.Press Volume Down twice to designate Recovery mode.
4.Press Power to restart into Recovery mode. You will see an image of an Android robot with a red exclamation mark.
5.While holding down Power, press Volume Up.
6.Use the volume keys to scroll to "wipe data/factory reset" and press Power to select it.
7.Scroll down to "Yes - erase all user data" and press Power to select it.
If you can't see the screen, the steps above should still work or another user who has the device handy may be able to help you determine how many presses it will take in step 6.
