What color is the text in your recovery screen?
oRANGE i flashed it to 3.00005 or what ever
Stock, CM6 and all Froyo (Android 2.2) based ROMs are incompatibile with CWM 3.x. That can only be used with Gingerbread (Android 2.3) ROMS like CM7. Install CM7, and you'll be good to go.
Take a look at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=944681 from TrueBlue_Drew. It's a way of switching between the various versions of CWM. But it won't be useful until you have a working phone.

If you installed CM 3.x then you need to flash Cyanogen CM7. You'll get a working phone. Don't forget the g/apps either.
i downloaded cm_glacier_full-32.zip and the gapps the phone boots past the splach screen than keeps going through the boot animation

thanks for supplying the exact version of the g/apps. Did you by chance check the md5sum? should match 45e175c25a498c8945c543d92d92e782
and are you installing the G/apps pre or post installing the ROM?
Oops I had the wrong gapps file its all good now bro thank you for your time and help I'm very grateful for people like you!! Thanks braa

Xposed framework not working and causing bootloops

Hi guys
I might be doing this wrong but I have flashed xposed before to a couple of devices.Has the procedure changed on the X Play?I installed the installer ,the latest one,no problems. The problems start when I flash the framework.Frameworks for arm ver.21 and 22 dont flash and give an error , ver.23 sends my phone into a bootloop for a few minutes and then tries to boot past the animations but then just hangs. How did you guys mangae to install xposed? Please tell me which combination works becuase Ive been searching for 2 hours now and none of what Ive found works.
Im running Android 6.0 rooted on Squids TWRP 2.8.7.0 recovery.

First flash the latest version of recovery. Then flash the latest version of xposed zip.
Maybe the older version of recovery is creating problems.
Though do note it that after flashing xposed, the phone will take some 10 to 15 minutes to boot up... Maybe more.

Hi
So I flashed TWRP 3.0.0r2 from Squid and flashed SDK ver.23 arm.My phone bootlooped for a while and I eventualy got to the motorola boot logo. Now its just at bootlogo you kinow the shimmerimh blue moto ball. Its been like this for 20+minutes.What now?Do I wait or do I restore from backup?
ok after half an hour of the phone being stuck at the boot animation I called it and restored from a backup.I guess im not getting exposed
I bought my phone 2 weeks ago and got OTA to 6.0.1 right away, so I have no idea what does or doesn't work in 6.0
I had bootloop issues with TWRP 3.0.0, so i wen't down to 2.8.7
See my signature for the combination that worked for me.

After remaining on that blue logo for 10 or 15 minutes, hard reboot by keeping the power button pressed down until it shuts off. It will then restart again and eventually you phone would come to life again.

Would exposed be installed if I hard reset like this? I booted to recovery and restored from a backup when my phone was stuck earlier.

Nope.
Install xposed installer apk.
Flash the xposed latest zip.
Reboot.
If it gets stuck on logo for about 5 minutes, keep the power button pressed until the device again restarts.
I have done this numerous times and my device then booted normally.
And one more thing. After I flashed the xposed zip, my device started and got stuck on optimising apps for about 20 to 25 minutes.

Jeez that's rough. I can understand how a noob can panick when installing exposed on this phone. Is the process simpler on 6.0.1?

Nope same process. Even I get panicked but not because my phone isn't getting on but because most of times I don't do a backup and have to start from scratch.
Always remember to make a backup before trying anything. ?
The steps are not that tough though. Do read a lot of posts from different users before trying something to get an idea what can go bad. It will help a lot as you would have already got an idea then.
Happy flashing. ?

Are you by any chance ignoring that TWRP asks you to install SU for you when you reboot from Recovery? If you are swiping and allowing TWRP to install SU, it causes bootloop. Atleast that's what I faced

Wonder what went wrong
I dont realy know. I've flashed Xposed on my Nexus 7 and Moto G 2014 both without problems. On the X play I had 10 minutes of bootloop and I had to hard reset my phone to break it out of the loop. After Hard reseting my phone booted normal and I had Xposed.
Since then Xposed has had updated releases but I don't want to chance it so I'm leaving it as is with the sdk v82.

The latest xposed version is v85 sdk 23. Use that. Sdk 23 is for 6.0 , Sdk 22 is for 5.1 and Sdk 21 is for 5.0
I have flashed xposed on DU and didn't had any reboot. Be sure as to which modules you use. As always, MAKE A BACKUP AND THEN TRY.

Which one ? Do not forget that Flashing SuperSU will make the phone autoboot twice. Then it may take 5-6mn to have setup screen.
I already said which one i tried:
WILMANS2M Rom
adbpusher123 rom
All these rom, when i install it, that reboot twice but black screen after. Need to pull out battery and reinstall new rom
I tried to install the stock lollipop rom for my cell and each 30 sec in loading, that rebooting
What is going wrong with this shi*** phone
Ok. As you come from android 6, you have to make something tricky.
Download a stock lollipop rom as you did, but format all including internal card.
I already did it and Kaodd too without any problems.
Envoyé de mon GT-I9505 en utilisant Tapatalk
Ok thx for the trick, ill try it
But i really want your rom but i get boot loop when i install it. I perfectly did all step. Maybe a trick i miss?
Or any suggestion to get better rom than stock? Something more faster and less laggy? Because that actually bad. A phone with good spec but terrible software
Resolved
Need to wipe internal storage too

Got Stucked at Bootloader screen

I was rooting my device and was successful l in that. I flashed TWRP and Magisk and after that I decided to install a custom ROM. While going for it I again wiped the - Delvik Cache, System, Data and Cache. And when I tried installing that ROM it doesn't gets install. Moreover I can't boot into System anymore and now I'm stucked at the screen saying "Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted." Also the screen is showing "ID:N/A"
So please please please help me with this problem ASAP. I can't use my phone now please and I regret for what I've done.
Try booting into fastboot mode. Hold down volume down and power for several seconds. If you can get there, you can flash the stock ROM and hopefully get back to normal. There are other threads that show you how to install. Make sure you use a version that is greater than or equal to what you last had installed.

When you installed a custom ROM your stock ROM was gone. That's how it works. But the reason you're stuck at the screen you're at, I don't know.
Restoring back to stock is the first thing I'd try to see if you can actually use your phone

[PIE][9.0][Need Help]Nexus 6P won't boot any android Pie ROM

So i wanted to go for some Pie rom and it turns out i cannot do that because reasons. Done everything that was listed in instructions, done even more things like flashing stock image, wiping everything, flashing fbe recovery, wiping everything again (besides recovery ofc), then pushing the rom to /sdcard, flashing it, wiping internal storage. It doesnt really matter what i do and what rom do i flash. Every time i end up staring at Google's boot logo (AOSPExtended is stuck at boot animation). I know there is a line like "be patient" in the instructions, but my patience had to come to an end eventually and it was after like 2 hours of boot logo, and another 2 hours of AOSPEX's boot animation. The phone is not heating up, but it would crash on the 1st phase of boot animation and reboot till infinity after restoring TWRP backup. I really wanted to use Pie, but i have run out of ideas on how to make it boot.
It's really an unusual case. But I had it on my previous phone, the LG Optimus G. I'm from stock 4.4 and every higher Android version rom won't boot on my phone. I gave it up but two months later, I tried again and bizarrely, It boot fine without any reasons. Sorry I can't help you what the problem is, but I can only tell you that you can try Pie roms a few time later and wait for you luck

By reading the flash instructions CAREFULLY.

Did you ever get this working? I'm having the exact same issue. I've tried several Pie Roms and so far no luck getting past the boot animation.
Oreo Roms work and boot up quick. I've updated to the latest TWRP as well. Is there a v9 Vendor Image we can try flashing?

Didn't really have time to mess with this lately, as i need my phone up 24/7, but i tried to get this working as soon as first Pie ROM's started to come out. Couldn't get it working then, and 2nd time was about the time i created this post.
The lastest vendor image is OPM7.181205.001, Dec 2018, as far as i know, so... We are kinda stuck with 8.1.0 for now.
