One time ROOT in order to use undelete software on Internal Storage - Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) Questions & Answers

Hi,
My Galaxy J7 2017 is running Android 9. I need to root the device just so I can run an undelete software on it.
Is there a way this can be done without wiping the system?
Thanks,
Daniel

[Q] galaxy s4 4.4.2 kitkat write to SD from pc

Hi! I know about the annoying problem concerning the revoked capability of the apps to write to SD in kitkat.
I'd like to understand the current situation about this problem.
According to you will Samsung solve the problem re-implementing this feature? I mean, will galaxy s5 have the same problem?
Skipping every possible debate on the unfairness of this move by Samsung, if I have understood, the only solution now is to root the phone, isn't it? And as far as I know there is no way to root without losing warranty, I mean the knox counter will be incremented even if I come back to stock, isn't it?
But somewhere I read that this could be solved by app developers with an update. Is it true? According to me by now there aren't apps that with an update regained the capability to write to SD... Every file explorer can't write to SD (at least some features), poweramp can't delete files or edit tags if the files are on sd etc...
However my main question is the following one:
Is it normal that from pc (windows 8) I cannot rename folders in SD, and I can't move to SD files like flac? I mean files that pc prompts if you want to convert to a compatible file for phone. If I click to avoid conversion, the transfer starts and stuck immediately... What can I do?
Thank you very much!

Adoptable storage for Tab A 10.1 with S Pen (P580) without root?

Adb trick doesn't work, seems like Samsung has disabled sm partition command. Any other ways without rooting?
I don't think there is a way because Samsung got rid of that in the Marshmallow Updates. So, in order to do that you will need
TWRP https://twrp.me/devices/samsunggalaxytaba101wifi2016spen.html (Read Instructions! There are two ways to do it!)
SuperSU.zip https://download.chainfire.eu/1012/SuperSU/SR3-SuperSU-v2.78-SR3-20161103171345.zip
Root Essentials https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.superthomaslab.rootessentials&hl=en
TWRP modifies your device so you have to install it to install SuperSU.
After you flash SuperSU, you will have a SuperSU application installed and you will have Root Privileges.
Root Essentials will give you adoptable storage, even though Samsung hid their buttons for that.
Samsung just hid it and be careful because after you make your microSD card adoptable to the device, then the microSD card will lose those amount of storage you have set.
Hope I helped!
Tried to do this but it requires a plugin to be installed and TWRP is failing to install it.

I need help in lost data recovery-Lenovo K5 Note

Hi guys,
How are you? I have a real problem with this device as I have suddenly deleted my data "documents, videos and pictures and cannot find any solution as there is no successful way to root this device. On the other hand I cannot run the device as mass storage device and cannot find any software working with the MTP to recover the files.
I need any method or software to run as mass storage or to restore the files.
Thank You.

ES Disk Analyser deleted a lot of things

So I downloaded ES disk analyser and without my permission, it deleted a bunch of videos, pictures and my entire whatsapp image folder. dr. fone recovery needs rooting and well, I have no idea how to do that.
My phone's model number is SM-G900H running android 4.4.2. Is it worth rooting? What's the safest way to do it?

You can recover without root, coz media are all stored outside system partition (like internal storage or sdcard).
There are many working tools available in the play store like DiskDigger, Dumpster....
Or use this tool (for PC) : https://www.easeus.com/android-data-recovery-software/free-android-data-recovery.html
Good luck

I tried both DiskDigger & Dumpster, both were useless. Don't have access to a PC right now.
