Extract rom files into "payload input" folder
run payload dumper exe
copy files from "payload output" folder
extract files from fastboot_installer.zip
paste payload files into fastboot_installer folder
run rominstaller.bat with phone in bootloader and connected to pc

Does anyone know to extract the nbf file from the romupdate utitlity of the prophet?
or where can I find the nbf file for the prophet in this forum? I need to make a rom image on my sd card..or can i do it using just the nba file in the customized rom upgrade?
When you run the exe, it puts all it's files into a temp dir, probably your %temp% dir.
I'm sure there's an extractor of some kind if you can't find the file you want just by searching your harddisk for the file you're after, after you run the installation executable.
Get winrar (http://www.rarlabs.com) and once its installed right click onthe .exe file and select extract to (it will provide a foldername the same as the original file) winrar will extract the contents of the exe file to a flder for you.
yup! i 've done it, but don't know how to download the nk.nbf to my sdcard so that it can be flashed from there? anyone know?
Usefull to get files from DFT installs
Usefull for extracting thoses backup .img files in your clockworkmod folder on sdcard
1.Unzip unyaffs.zip file to drive of your choice.
2. Copy system.img to same folder.
3. Double click Command Prompt.bat
4. type 1 press enter ( automaticly ) extracts any system.img
5. pressing 2 enter is for data.img ( copy data.imp file to folder and press d )
For ICS and other newer system.img's you may need to convert the image then unpack the converted img

After download and convert all downloads part into one folder, we got two files
1)

these file can be open with Winrar
i open the first file with winrar inside it i found the system.sin file i drag it into my system
now i get the xperia S system.sin file....
Problem is that i want to unpack this sin file, for that i used aIUP.exe but its not unpacked then i used sin to img software but same result
Please can someone help me for unpacking it

Install Python for Windows - Windows is the easiest
Download Payload Dumper (you can find it on XDA by searching or google it)
Download your correct firmware file and unzip it, then discard everything except the payload.bin file - that's the only one you need
Make a desktop folder and name it anything you want. I named mine Python.
Install Python inside that folder.
Take the contents of the Payload Dumper (all the files) and put them in the folder also.
Also put the payload.bin file in that folder
Now open a command prompt ( you can do it in the address bar inside that python folder or whatever you named it by typing CMD).
Run the following two commands in terminal: python -m pip install -r requirements.txt
and the second: python payload_dumper.py payload.bin
that's it. The boot.img and other files will be in the output folder.

you could also just throw that payload.bin into the input folder in the payload dumper folder and double click payload dumper.exe
