[GUIDE] Update and root RealmeUI 2.0 with Safetynet-fix (RUI 2.0 | Android 11) [Global/Indian] - Realme X2 Pro Guides, News, & Discussion

[GUIDE] HOW TO UPDATE TO RUI 2.0 AND ROOT IT
--> Disclaimer: I'm not responsible if you brick your device. Use at your own risk and always backup your data! <--
0. Download linksF.14 OTA: Download
Magisk app: Download
OrangeFox beta: Download
ADB/Fastboot tool: Download
Patched boot.img: Find attached
vbmeta.img: Find attached
Patched safetynet fix: Find attached
1. Update your deviceUpdate your device to the latest firmware version (F.14). Therefor flash the provided OTA zip via stock recovery or OrangeFox beta recovery.
It is recommended to use the stock recovery. You can also update your device to the latest firmware by using the build in update function.
2. Root your deviceBoot into fastboot mode. To boot into fastboot mode, shut down your device and then press the volume down button while clicking on the power button.
Now you have successfully booted into fastboot mode. Connect your device with your computer and flash the patched boot.img and also disable verified boot.
Therefor just type following 3 commands:
1. fastboot flash boot patched_boot.img
2. fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
3. fastboot reboot
Your device should boot up. Now install the Magisk app and you have successfully rooted RUI 2.0.
3. Fix SafetynetInstall the patched "safetynet-fix-v.2.2.0-zip" module via Magisk. It will fix safetynet (Basic integrity and CTS). It works perfectly and won't brick your fingerprint etc. Thanks to @osm0sis
4. Get Widevine L1If you have unlocked your bootlader, Widevine will be set from L1 to L3. This will reduce the quality of certain streaming apps like Netflix from FullHD to SD quality.
However, you can get Widevine L1 back by contacting the Realme support. For more info, check the guide from @hack-os: Widevine L1 FIX

3. Fix Basic integrity check (Safetynet)Unfortunately, it is not possible to pass safetynet with rooted RUI 2.0. However, you can still pass basic integrity, which should be fine for most banking apps.
To do so, open the Magisk Manger app and click on the settings button on the top-right corner. Enable "Zygisk" and "Denylist". Then click on "Configure DenyList".
Click on the 3-dots on the top-right corner and select system-apps. Now search for "gms". You should find "Google Play Services". Click it and enable "com.google.android.gms" and "com.google.android.gms.unsuable". Now reboot your device and it should pass basic integrity.

I have rooted with magisk alpha and my snet passed easily.
To pass snet using magisk alpha:
1. Keep zygisk disabled.
2. Enable MagiskHide.
3. Configure DenyList for "com.google.android.gms" and "com.google.android.gms.unsuable" then reboot and done.

Thanks for the info. I already tried it once with Magisk Alpha and the same settings as you, but CTS still failed. I'm gonna try it again and update the guide.
Edit: @Eng.Raman Unfortunately, it doesn't work. Installed Magisk Alpha, also cleaned all data of Google Play Store and Google Play Services multiple times and rebooted multiple times. But CTS still fails.
Do you maybe have installed some modules, like Riru or LPosed?

Don't dirty-flashing alpha over canary. completely uninstall magisk canary then clean install magisk alpha.
Yes ,I have installed some modules but they don't affect the test result, even without magisk and lsposed modules I have passed snet.

Yes, I know. That's exactly what I did. I uninstalled Magisk Canary completely including the app and went back to stock boot. Afterwards I installed Magisk alpha app, patched boot.img, flashed patched boot.img an rebooted.
Just a couple of minutes ago a new version of magisk alpha was released, and also with that version CTS fails.
Nevertheless, I found out something interesting. With Magisk Canary, CTS fails and Advice tells me to Lock bootloader. With Magisk Alpha CTS still fails, but I get no advice.

Your momo app shows " The environment is broken" and this is related to enabling MagiskHide.
To get rid of this message and to see full results either add config "app_zygote_magic" or install momohider-mod zip attached.

Yeah, Magisk alpha seems not to fix CTS on my device. Safetynet-fix (https://github.com/kdrag0n/safetynet-fix) does, but it also bricks my in-display fingerprint reader. So at the moment it seems like I can't bypass CTS.

With enabled Magisk Hide it will fix basic integrity check, but not CTS. And it also bricks my in-display-fingerprint. Guess I'll stay with Magisk Canary, till there might be an update to fix those issues.

Magisk v8 --> I haven't tested Magisk hide settings since I am not using SuperSu and suhide, but feel free to test and report
- Added Zenfone 2 Signature
- Point to init.aosp.rc
SuperUser r277 --> Only difference I can see between this and r272 is in hidesu. Users have reported SafetyNet still doesn't pass. I note last commit on github was 4 days ago. I'll compile again if there's any new/significant updates
superuser-r277-hidesu_x86_and fixed_for_ZF2(6.0_bootloader)_by_ameel.zip

- Added Zenfone 2 Signature
superuser-r277-hidesu_x86_compiled_by_ameel.zip --> This does not work on Zenfone 2 (MM bootloader). It should work for 'regular' x86 bootloaders (e.g. Zenfone 2 running official CM13 on LP bootloader). (Also note I didn't fix the install script, so it might not actually work at all. If it doesn't let me know and I'll fix it)
- Compiled for x86
SuperSu 2.78 SR1 --> works with suhide 0.54 but is very sluggish and laggy on the Zenfone 2!
- Added Zenfone 2 Signature
Xposed 86.2 for Systemless SuperSu
- Forced oat 067
SuperUser r272 --> This contains Hidesu, which is as of time of this post the only su that passes SafetyNet
- Compiled for x86
- Fixed install scripts
- Added Zenfone 2 Signature
Magisk v7
- Added Zenfone 2 Signature
- Point to init.aosp.rc
Xposed 86.6 for Magisk (by topjohnwu)
- Forced oat 067
Note:
- Installing Magisk (even without installing xposed) causes SafetyNet to fail.
- Download and use at your own risk.
Usage:
The attached zip files need to be flashed from TWRP (or similar recovery)
VERY IMPORTANT: The Correct way to install ALL 3 is as follows:
1. Flash Magisk v7 and reboot
2. Flash SuperUser r272 and reboot
3. Flash Magisk modules
If you flash SuperUser r272 first, and flash Magisk, chances are your phone won't boot anymore (I haven't investigated why and won't bother for now).
Given that Magisk v7 fails SafetyNet even with SuperUser r272's hidesu, I wouldn't bother installing the 3 together. Either install SuperUser r272 for root that passes SafetyNet, or install Magisk or Xposed with existing root solutions (i.e. not SuperUser r272).

Do you have any uninstaller of superUser r272??
Or can i use that one at phh superuser thread??

Trying flash SuperUser r272 only.. Done..
Checked SafetyNet Helper pass with green background..
Giving TB & Root Checker root acces..
Check SafetyNet Helper, it's failed with red background..

[GUIDE] [F3111] HOW TO Install Magisk on Xperia XA

Steps:
1. Download Magisk V11.1 & uninstaller
2. Root device (use @rrvuhpg root guide)
3. Download and flash Systemless SuperSU
4. Reboot and fully unroot device (don't restore stock boot image)
5. Reboot
6. Reboot into recovery
7. Flash Magisk & reboot
8. Wait for device to reboot fully (it takes a long, long time)
9. Download Magisk Manager from Play Store
10. If root is there, then you're done
Alternate Method:
1. Root Device (use @rrvuhpg root guide)
2. Download and flash Systemless SuperSU
3. Reboot and install Magisk Manager from Play Store
4. Open Magisk Manager and go onto the install tab
5. Press "detect" on the boot image location section and press "Magiskify" (I kept both advanced options unchecked)
6. Once flashed and rebooted, you're done.
Notes:
1. Rebooting after flashing Magisk takes ages, if there is a problem with booting then just flash the Magisk uninstaller. Just try to wait at least 10 minutes for the reboot after flashing Magisk, just don't crap yourself and uninstall the Magisk.
If you have questions or need help, just ask.

Use MagiskSU instead, fully unroot device with SuperSU but don't restore the boot.img etc. Go to recovery and use the Magisk uninstaller then reflash Magisk 11.1 and if you unrooted, then it will install MagiskSU. It is Magisk's new official root

Can't I use just Magisk installer without unrooting the rom? If I'm not wrong Magisk has is own root manager
I tryed to install Camera 60fps Recording Module but i got error the zip is stored in : intenal storage ....
Is this safety net important to have it in green to pass this CTS ? I have done method 2. Magisk manager form store and then I installed Magisk 12. In installation panel when I tap detect it detecs (auto) mmcblk. Is it all ? Does it work ?
Where can I find the Systemless SuperSU?
I have been trying to change to Magisk with this guide but it failed in the 1st method, the 2nd one gives the root with super su but i wanted to use Magisk alone, so i have been researching and by flashing the stock boot.img (i used the one provided in the thread "Stock kernels built from sources") Magisk was installed and worked except for the SafetyNet. [GUIDE] [SD652/MTK] Magisk - How to pass Safetynet check

Hello everyone,
As you might have seen, Google Safetynet APIs have been updated. Since Official Magisk is using old API, when you try to pass Safetynet, it will automatically give you an error like " The response is invalid" or something like that.
So, in order to bypass this issue, I've been searching for a long time and I found a solution.
THIS WON'T WORK WITH XPOSED FRAMEWORK INSTALLED!!
1- Uninstall completely Magisk using official uninstaller.
2- Once the device rebooted, download and install latest unofficial Magisk Manager APK available on this page: https://github.com/ianmacd/MagiskBuilds?files=1
3- Open Magisk Manager and go to Magisk settings
4- Click on Update Channel and choose Custom
5- Insert this URL and click OK : https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ianmacd/MagiskBuilds/master/updates/ianmacd.json
6- Click on Clear Repo Cache
7- Return to Magisk Startpage and check for update
8- Install Unofficial Magisk 16.8
9- Once installation done, reboot your device
10- Go to Magisk Manager and check for Safetynet
If it passed, Congratulations, you're done.
If not, continue.
11- Download this Magisk Module : https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=5862345805528046758
12- Once downloaded, disconnect your phone from Internet (turn of the Wi-Fi, 4g, etc...). It's very important
13- Install the module using Magisk Manager and reboot
14- When reboot done, wait 5 minutes before turning on Internet connection
15- Go to Magisk Manager and check if Safetynet passed.
It should be working, it worked in my case.
Have tried on two devices:
- Leeco x626 with EUI ROM ( Cuoco) using the module
- Leeco x526 with MIUI 10 without the module
FOR EUI ROMs:
You could get an error saying you're using a modified software or something like this, after uninstalling old Magisk.
Do this :
- Download official Magisk uninstaller AND Unofficial Magisk 16.8 ZIP
- Reboot to TWRP Recovery
- Uninstall old Magisk using the uninstaller
DO NOT REBOOT
- Return to TWRP Home menu and install unofficial Magisk 16.8
- Reboot your device and it should be okay
Wow it worked. Thanks a lot bro.

What if custom ROMs? How do we make them pass the check using any of the above methods?

safetynet question - cts profile false

I was running stock 7.1.1 and everything was fine. Then i decided to try LOS 15.1, with magisk 17.4 but encountered an issue with safetynet cts profile false that prevented me from using android pay. I then proceeded to flash B35 EDL, and then do the sd upgrage to Oreo B20, but i still have the same issue with failing cts profile.
AI'm no longer rooted, running stock but still fail safetynet. Any one have any ideas what I can try next? at this point i just want cts profile to pass on the current oreo b20 stock.
Thanks!
It could be that SafetyNet detects that you have an unlocked bootloader, but there are ways to hide that (custom kernel, Magisk, etc). Do you have Xposed installed? That's an automatic SN fail. You haven't changed system partition in any way at all? It's also possible that Google hasn't yet approved B20 despite it being official rather than beta. There could be other factors too. SN looks at lots of things, many of which Google won't talk about.
You need to install magisk hide props and then in a terminal
"Su"
Grant superuser
Then
"Props"
And follow the on-screen instructions. Stupid that Google pay has a problem with rooted phones as it's painfully simple to get around it
You can find magisk hide props in the "download" section of magisk manager
Check the settings in the Google play store, Device not certified can be an issue when you change Roms.
The link between the device and Google has been broken, hence the device not certified.
There is an app Device ID that can add the certification back to its original state.
Hope this helps
Turned out to be it was because of the unlocked bootloader.
funny story... i locked the bootloader without having oem unlock enabled . Got bricked, couldn't boot into EDL... so i had to take it apart and ground the test point to put it into EDL.

There's a tool for that now; you may not have had to open it: https://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/how-to/salesmultidla2017-tool-to-unblick-dfu-t3854229

Im trying out Magisk 16.7 (I saw some posts that said 17 causes bootloops) and MM 6.0.1. I don't see hide props in downloads? What can I do to pass safetynet? Thanks
I'm now running twrp with Oreo B20 stock.

"Magisk hide props config" is literally what it is called. If you can't find it, you're doing it wrong.
If all else fails, google then install manually.
Had to upgrade to magisk 17 to see the hide prop module download. Still couldn't pass safetynet with Oreo B20. Switched to LOS 15.1 and now everything works.

cts profile fail

i went from stock everything, oem unlock, fastboot install of twrp fajita, flash stock rom downloaded from oneplus, then magisk
then i was having an issue with magisk , viper audio wasnt working properly
restarted to recovery, meant to wipe dalvik but pressed something else and borked the phone.
wiped everything, re installed the twrp recovery, re flashed zip. re flashed magisk again
now, i have to turn on magisk hide ( to pass cts profile ), which is something i never had to do before and i cant find netflix on the play store.
what can i do to correct the cts profile fail please.
Use this module: Magisk Hide Props Config
It requires: BusyBox, installer in this thread first post.
To activate the module and chose your new certified fingerprint you will need a terminal emulator, you can use any one you want really, personally I use this one.
Any questions ask.
Hi
I tried this, everything went through smoothly enough but it did not resolve the issue. To be clear this is what i did.
downloaded the magiskhide props module, installed through magisk
downloaded the busybox installer , installed through magisk
restarted
opened terminal, ran command 'props'
went through the process or redoing the files for the fingerprint reader according to make and model of my phone.
restarted
disabled magiskhide in magisk
restarted
still failing cts
did i miss something
it also mentioned that i am using a custom rom, i am using a stock rom downloaded from oneplus. i have unlocked the bootloader and am rooted using magisk .
do i need to re download and start again?

Why are you disabling this? You need Magisk hide enabled. I rename Magisk as well. My phone passes safetynet and CTS. On the latest version of Magisk MagiskHide is off by default, it used to be on by default. TopJohnWu announced that a while back here.

In recent versions when you choose hide and it picks a random name for the Magisk Manager app it lets choose a name for the app instead of just Manager.
