Magisk 8,SuperUser r277,SuperSu 2.78 SR1,xposed 86.6(magisk),xposed 86.2 (SuperSu) - ZenFone 2 General

Magisk v8 --> I haven't tested Magisk hide settings since I am not using SuperSu and suhide, but feel free to test and report
- Added Zenfone 2 Signature
- Point to init.aosp.rc
SuperUser r277 --> Only difference I can see between this and r272 is in hidesu. Users have reported SafetyNet still doesn't pass. I note last commit on github was 4 days ago. I'll compile again if there's any new/significant updates
superuser-r277-hidesu_x86_and fixed_for_ZF2(6.0_bootloader)_by_ameel.zip
- Compiled for x86
- Fixed install scripts
- Added Zenfone 2 Signature
superuser-r277-hidesu_x86_compiled_by_ameel.zip --> This does not work on Zenfone 2 (MM bootloader). It should work for 'regular' x86 bootloaders (e.g. Zenfone 2 running official CM13 on LP bootloader). (Also note I didn't fix the install script, so it might not actually work at all. If it doesn't let me know and I'll fix it)
- Compiled for x86
SuperSu 2.78 SR1 --> works with suhide 0.54 but is very sluggish and laggy on the Zenfone 2!
- Added Zenfone 2 Signature
Xposed 86.2 for Systemless SuperSu
- Forced oat 067
SuperUser r272 --> This contains Hidesu, which is as of time of this post the only su that passes SafetyNet
- Compiled for x86
- Fixed install scripts
- Added Zenfone 2 Signature
Magisk v7
- Added Zenfone 2 Signature
- Point to init.aosp.rc
Xposed 86.6 for Magisk (by topjohnwu)
- Forced oat 067
Note:
- Installing Magisk (even without installing xposed) causes SafetyNet to fail.
- Download and use at your own risk.
Usage:
The attached zip files need to be flashed from TWRP (or similar recovery)
VERY IMPORTANT: The Correct way to install ALL 3 is as follows:
1. Flash Magisk v7 and reboot
2. Flash SuperUser r272 and reboot
3. Flash Magisk modules
If you flash SuperUser r272 first, and flash Magisk, chances are your phone won't boot anymore (I haven't investigated why and won't bother for now).
Given that Magisk v7 fails SafetyNet even with SuperUser r272's hidesu, I wouldn't bother installing the 3 together. Either install SuperUser r272 for root that passes SafetyNet, or install Magisk or Xposed with existing root solutions (i.e. not SuperUser r272).

Thanks @ameel!
At least get back my root with this new supersuhide 272.

hello ameel.
thanks for your work (hope you succeed to recover your phone in the process)!
I just see the SafetyNet update that fail with Magisk now (v6 or v7)
I'll test superuser while it passes safetynet. it won't last long, I presume.

You can flash whichever xposed you want. I only provided the latest magisk version topjohnwu made, but fixed for Zenfone 2
Remember, if you install xposed, SafetyNet will fail.

I was wondering the same. But I believe this is also useful for repetitive OTA flashes (no need to flash eXposed, Viper, BB, etc on every flash).

Dear @ameel,
Do you have any uninstaller of superUser r272??
Or can i use that one at phh superuser thread??
Thx..
Edited :
Trying flash SuperUser r272 only.. Done..
Checked SafetyNet Helper pass with green background..
Giving TB & Root Checker root acces..
Check SafetyNet Helper, it's failed with red background..
Reboot the phone and SafetyNet Helper pass again..
It's likely i must reboot the phone after giving superuser access to an app to pass SafetyNet..
Any help??
Did i do something wrong?..

Moto X Pure and Magisk Support

I have installed Magisk on my XT1575, for those who dont know, its a method in which Xposed can be installed systemless, with the benefit of taking OTA's. And as a bonus, things like android pay work (with a on-the-fly toggle) to turn off root check, snapchat works, etc.
Pre-requisites (MARSHMALLOW)
1. Stock rom (this is mandated by the developer @topjohnwu ) preferably stock kernel, but i am using frankenclark
1A. TWRP (Download Link Here) https://dl.twrp.me/clark/twrp-3.0.2-0-clark.img.html
2. Magisk manager zip (Download Link Here) http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=19632&task=get
3. Custom superuser PHH-Superuser (Download link here) http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=19633&task=get
4. Custom Xposed (Download Link Here) http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3832615&d=1470276932
5. Custom Superuser app from the playstore (Download Link Here) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=me.phh.superuser
6. Custom Xposed Installer (Download Link Here) http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=19668&task=get
Steps:
1. Start with clean stock marshmallow 18-4 (i used the firmware flash and did it that way)
2. Install TWRP (1A)
3. Boot into TWRP recovery (do not select system writable. leave it stock, this ensures the chances of OTA support, unless you dont care, then set it writable)
4. Flash frankenkernel, if you want, if not continue on
5. Flash MAGISK (2)
6. FLASH custom superuser (3)
7. Flash Xposed framework (4)
8. reboot into marshamallow
9. Before opening MAGISK, install the custom superuser app from the playstore (5)
10. Install the custom XPOSED installer (6)
11. You should now see that xposed 86.3 is active
12. Profit, make sure to check MAGISK and see if the toggle between rooted and unrooted works, but it should.

whelp, the whole reason i had a xpure was because my 10 was getting uh oh'd for a broken display, and that took 2 weeks. When i wrote the post, magisk and phh was rollin in the regards that android pay (safetynet) had been beat, so i wrote a writeup on how to do it. Now safetynet has been upgraded to the point where magisk is beat, afaik.
Magisk screwed with my banking app, and i didnt use it for anything else, so i stuck with systemless supersu & xposed instead, no magisk on my 10.
Honestly, im not sure why people want android pay, all the places i used it, charged me extra for using, like a 1.50 pepsi cost 2.10 out of our vending machines at work.
Couldn't agree more. For the systemless root - all you did was install SuperSU from play store and run that command in twrp?

No, Magisk is only designed for stock, unrooted roms. It doesn't get around SafetyNet anymore anyway, Android Pay, Pokémon Go, and most financial apps won't work anyway.

Systemless Xposed for honor 7

After many trial and error (including some research here on XDA), it seems that if you are using stock boot.img and have a root using SuperSU 2.62 (systemless root i.e. your boot image was patched to get a working root), you have to install the systemless Xposed to make Xposed work.
It is an unofficial version which can be obtained here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/material-design-xposed-installer-t3137758
Thanks to DVDandroid for this work, don't forget to leave a thanks for him/her.
Am not facing any crashes or weird behavior after this installation.

I tried magisk but could not make it work. I think, I know how to do it the right way now but have to start with a clean firmware and flash magisk, install magisk manager, install Phh's SuperSU, install systemless Xposed and then modules...
Feeling too lazy to give it a try but for sure, it's on my list of things to do so that I can figure it out.
Are you using magisk on honor 7? How did you get it to work?
Sent from my PLK-L01 using XDA Labs
Sure Its working here.
I installed the magisk manager apk first
then flashed magisk from recovery(twrp required)
and right after that(before reboot) phh's su.
Rebooted, installed phh's superuser application from the playstore.
That got me a systemless root.
A systemless xposed is a little harder.
First you need the Material Design Xposed Installer from that link.
If you installed that then head into the magisk manager, swipe left, downloads
Download and install xposed sdk 21 for android 5.0 and sdk 23 for 6.0
It should reboot into recovery and flash the systemless xposed module.
Reboot into system, its gonna take a while, around 10-15 minutes.
And that got me the systemless xposed.
I should say that you should backup your stuff, but its broken in twrp so whatever.

You can also give BootManager a try to stop unwanted applications starting at boot and another I like is Xposed additions to map hardware buttons to new functions.

Although if you try to install xposed through Magisk it will bootloop. I spent hours try to figure it out why, before i remembered that the theme manager doesnt work with xposed and i think you need to deodex the rom before you install it
ps: when i finally flashed Magisk v8, rebooted and started magisk manager, guess what-- v9 came out (tried to flash that, but it kept saying that boot image does not enough space, so i fashed Digikernel and it worked)
edit: and pokemon go is working so i assume it passes safetynet

I've been stuck at bootloop when i tried to force system (not systemless) root on nougat. So my first thought was to delete /data/.supersu... then I've managed to reinstall root systemlessly, but after a few tries it stayed on the bootloop.... Ensure that you have uninstalled SuperSU prior to flashing Magisk v9 and phh Superuser.
After, install Magisk Manager apk posted on its thread and phh Superuser manager & SafetyNet Helper from playstore.
You can then hide Magisk from SafetyNet within Magisk Manager setting. Run SafetyNet Helper to test whether you pass the SafetyNet check or not. If everything is passed, then you should be able to use Android Pay & Pokemon Go .

[GUIDE] [F3111] HOW TO Install Magisk on Xperia XA

Steps:
1. Download Magisk V11.1 & uninstaller
2. Root device (use @rrvuhpg root guide)
3. Download and flash Systemless SuperSU
4. Reboot and fully unroot device (don't restore stock boot image)
5. Reboot
6. Reboot into recovery
7. Flash Magisk & reboot
8. Wait for device to reboot fully (it takes a long, long time)
9. Download Magisk Manager from Play Store
10. If root is there, then you're done
Alternate Method:
1. Root Device (use @rrvuhpg root guide)
2. Download and flash Systemless SuperSU
3. Reboot and install Magisk Manager from Play Store
4. Open Magisk Manager and go onto the install tab
5. Press "detect" on the boot image location section and press "Magiskify" (I kept both advanced options unchecked)
6. Once flashed and rebooted, you're done.
Notes:
1. Rebooting after flashing Magisk takes ages, if there is a problem with booting then just flash the Magisk uninstaller. Just try to wait at least 10 minutes for the reboot after flashing Magisk, just don't crap yourself and uninstall the Magisk.
If you have questions or need help, just ask.

Update[GUIDE] Bypass SafetyNet With Magisk

:highfive:HELLO GUYS
So Here u can Find How To Bypass Safetnet In Your Phone While Being Rooted.
As you all know safetynet is implemented by Google itself to check Security of your Device & also by Some games or apps Eg. Pokeman Go,Android pay,Snapchat etc. So If Your Phone Is Rooted SafetyNet Test Will Fail.
With failed Safetynet Test You Can't Run These Apps in Your Mobile.
Check your Safetynet Status By This App:- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.scottyab.safetynet.sample
So If your Test Failed And you can't able to run Games or Some Apps Try This method
1. Fully Unroot Your Phone In SuperSu app Go to Settings tab on the top right corner, and then click Full Unroot. Confirm with 'Continue'. 3. Once this operation is done, which takes a few minutes, you can reboot your Android & Then Flash This Unroot Script In Custom Recovery

2. Download Magisk 12.0 http://tiny.cc/latestmagisk and Flash it in Custom Recovery & Reboot **Make sure in custom recovery if a Line Appears "Boot img already patched" That means You'r Not Fully Unrooted in this case you have to flash your Stock System.img or Stock rom**
3. Now Install Magisk Manager From Play Store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.topjohnwu.magisk
4 In Magisk manager Go To Settings Click on Enable BusyBox & Magisk Hide
5. Thats it. Now Run Safetynet test in Magisk Manager It will pass.
6.Enjoy your Games or Apps
UPDATE :- With Android Security Patch 01/04/2016 On Marshmallow Flashed SuperSu 2.79 Flashed Suhide 0.55 Flashed Magisk 12.0 Flashed Xposed 87.0 Systemless PASSING SAFETY NET Without Disabling root

Hey, I have a problem:
I used this script on my Galaxy Nexus but now I decided to use SuperSU again because Magsik didn't work for me. I have just one problem: After using this script I can't install SuperSU anymore. The installation works as usual without problems but if I open the SU app it sais I need a Su file flashed. Could you please help me to fix thid problem?
Thanks in advance,
greetings Nils
