Issue with slots, not able to boot to OS - OnePlus 6T Questions & Answers

Hi, I'm on OOS11 and I lost magisk so I booted to TWRP via fastboot but it gave me the error "qualcomm crashdump mode". After that error I wasn't able to boot into the OS. I found out that the twrp I was using is not compatible with OOS11 so I tried again with "fajita_twrp-3.5.2_11-0_test3.img". I was able to enter into TWRP and with no wipes I installed OOS11 + TWRP. The "qualcomm crash.." error is gone but the phone does not boot, it is stuck on a bootloop. When I enter into TWRP in slot B it's asking me for password and I'm able to see my files. When I'm on slot A it's not asking me for password and data seems to be encrypted (folder weird names). Is there a way to solve this without having to reset data?

[SOLVED]"No Command" error in recovery mode after flashing TWRP via ADB

What i did stepwise -
1. Unlocked bootloader of my g5 plus
2. Flashed twrp-3.2.3-1-potter.img via adb
3. Booted to TWRP
4. Wiped to decrypt phone
5*. Booted to system to enable usb debugging, enabled it . Transfered magisk , arrow 9.0 rom , gapps to my internal storage of phone
6. Open bootloader , selected recovery mode and got nothing except error "No Command"
So i cannot flashed anything what i wanted to
What and Where i made the mistake ?
How can i get TWRP back?
Thanks all in advance
Solution
1. Flashed magisk17.1 and lazyflasher
2. Updated magisk manager and got root
3. Installed official TWRP app , granted root and downloaded same TWRP.img from which i decrypted the phone.
4. Flashed twrp fom the official twrp app.
5. No irritating No Command error again
The no command screen is that of the stock recovery (that's a normal screen). From your steps, it seems like you booted to system in step 5 rather than back to recovery. It seems that after flashing TWRP, you may have to boot to recovery to fix TWRP as your recovery (else the stock recovery overwrites TWRP). Afterwards, you should be able to boot as normal with TWRP still present.
Easiest way to recover would be to repeat step 2 and 3. Then reboot to recovery in TWRP and that should retain TWRP. Back up your existing system, then flash the ROM, GApps and magisk as desired.

Thanks for your answer sir , but it didn't work
What I did again
1.I flashed same twrp from adb
2. Booted to recovery , but this time TWRP didn't asked password and I could see internal storage in twrp but not on my PC
3*.However I took the whole backup of stock nougat and cross check from restore option as there was backup in TWRP folder. I wanted copy that backup to my PC . But PC cannot detect my phone while in recovery
4. So booted to system and my PC detected my phone but there was no backup in TWRP folder.( But around 6gb(backup) of storage was used but I couldn't see it)
5.Again booted to recovery mode but "No Command" showed again .
I tried several times but I keep losing TWRP and couldn't see the backup which I make
Same problem. Resolved by flashing alternately several times twrp-3.2.1-0-potter.img and twrp-3.2.1-1-potter_persist.img and finally updated twrp-3.2.3-1-potter.img
It's because of dm-verity. You have to flash something like magisk or a custom kernel that disables it *before* you reboot into stock.

I flashed magisk 17.1 and lazyflasher ,i got magisk and root but cannot install modules may be becoz of f2fs bug . By the way i lost twrp after booting to system again and No command still present in recovery mode . I am frustrated Moto software is just pain in head :silly:

Can't boot to TWRP recovery mode

I installed TWRP through the pc using ADB.
its is installed but when I try to boot to TWRP (by holding the buttons) it shows me a password box. I have no idea which password it is. It is neither the miui account password nor the phone lock password. I didn't find any video about this. Every problem I've seen with other people was in the TWRP but I couldn't even boot to it If anyone faced this issue let me know how to fix it.
backup all your data-photos,music, etc because you will have to format your entire data and internal storage. This will remove the encryption on TWRP. Then flash Orange Fox recovery, it is far more stable compared to other unofficial TWRP ports/versions.
how do I format the internal storage?

[SOLVED] Unable to enter TWRP/Stock recovery and can't boot into system

Hi,
I have been using my P Smart (FIG-LX1) for a while with LineageOS 16 and decided to move on to Android 10. Installed LineageOS 17.1 (found it on this forum) and pph-Magisk 20.3 for root - it did work, but the system was unstable so i decided to try AOSP 10.0 instead. I entered TWRP, wiped cache, dalvik, system and data, flashed the ROM, gapps etc. It was advised to now flash stock recovery and use it to do a factory reset - and now i'm stuck here.
After flashing the recovery_ramdisk img the phone stopped being able to enter any recovery at all. The system itself does not boot (stuck on the "Your device has been unlocked (...) Your device is booting now..." screen forever), the recovery never appears (previously in the start screen with 'unlocked device' warning it used to suggest pressing volume UP to enter recovery, now it only shows "Your device is booting now"). As i can still access fastboot, I tried flashing TWRP again - the TWRP splash screen does appear, but the phone gets stuck on it. Also tried flashing another system's img - nothing changed.
Is there anything I can do or did i just brick it completely?
Thanks for help!
SOLVED:
Apparently running fastboot erase on system and userdata partitions made me able to boot into recovery/erecovery again. I do have another problem now, but it's not connected with this one so I will create another thread for that.
Could you try help me? I can't even get ADB to work anymore

[solved] stuck on bootloop after flashing los 17

steps i did:
installed twrp twrp-3.4.0-1-markw
flashed lineage-17.1-20200920-UNOFFICIAL-markw by shiabzzz
wiped data and cache, excluding internal storage
tried to flash gaps but failed due to error 20
flashed magisk
reboot.
now im stuck on bootloop. i know i should have deleted data before flashing the rom, not afterwards. when i press power+up it's not going to recovery.
how can i fix it?
are gaps mandatory for it to boot?
will my phone turn off when it runs out of battery, will i be able to go to recovery then?
update: i can access fastboot mode, but when connecting to pc and trying to boot to recovery it says "waiting for device".

[Help] Bootloop after updating, usb debugging not enabled.

Using the miflash tool I flashed stock firmware (some version of android 8) after previously having a custom ROM installed. Everything worked fine until I rebooted after updating to the latest version using OTA.
My phone never got past the android one screen where it would freeze part way through, and after removing my sim card I could get to the pin unlock screen before the lock screen but after inputting the correct pin it would reboot and ask me for it again and again. I can get into fastboot fine but since usb debugging wasn't enabled and my bootloader is locked I can't reflash.
Booting into recovery also only brings me to a screen where the android mascot has a red triangle with an exclamation mark and a message saying "No command", so I can't factory reset.
Is there anything I can do to unlock the bootloader in this state or factory reset? (all flash tools and fastbooting into TWRP require the bootloader to be unlocked which in turn requires usb debugging to be activated)
Thanks for your time.
Update: I messed around with stuff on the cli based tissot tool and used option 2 to boot me into TWRP. It didn't do that but brought me into android where a system process kept repeatedly closing until a random factory reset happened.
I then got into normal android for a bit before I had to reboot (did remember to unlock the bootloader this time). I can now install twrp fine but every time I install the stock rom using miflash or try to install resurrection remix through twrp I get the same bootloop issue.
For some reason also my internal storage is completely empty no matter what i do so i need to sideload roms via sd card. And sometimes twrp gives me the error "failed to mount /system"
Trying the latest version of LineageOS next.
Update 2: if you have the same issue I had, the only working fix I've found is this restore point for twrp. Have not tried to update yet in case it breaks again but will make a final update with how that goes.
