i have a problem with my redmi note 7.
usb debugging is enabled.
my adapter(s) is fine, i tried on my dads and sisters phone.
i can charge my phone, can connect to pc, even root but my usb dac and flash disk not working, no blinking, nothing happened when i connect.
i cleaned up port btw.
can anyone help me?

I've bought used Magic few days ago, and last night I wanted to root it, but when I try to connect it with computer - nothing! No USB icon on Magic, no new device on PC, just charging. I have original 1.6 android on it. Tried 4-5 different USB cables.
What can I do? Is there any way to fix it? Can I do rooting and flashin new rom from SD card, without usb?
turn on usb debugging in settings/applications/development
Already tried that. Doesn't help.

could be a problem with your usb port on computer, try another port or try the phone on another computer and see what happens. also did you try the usb headphones ? are they working fine?
Hello! I have a major problem. After flashing back to stock, my phone suddenly cannot connect to the pc at all. Once I plug in the cable the phone auto restarts and is stuck in a bootloop until I remove the cable. It also doesn't charge if connected to the charger. Any ideas on how to fix this?
More info regarding this case. Phone is an lg d802 32gb model. Reverted to stock from cloudyg3 rom. Right now I cannot access download mode as the phone auto restarts once I plug it in the pc. Tried with 2 diff pcs but the same problem.

Try changing the usb cable.
Hi, I tried 3 diff cables but it still has the problem. Also, I think the cables are not the problem as those cables do work for my other phone (both in charging and connecting to pc). This is a really weird issue. Anyone else experience this?
I have the same problem, phone restarts when connect to pc, if you connect and disconnect several times the usb cable, sometimes it works, you can try this to access your phone, turn it off, connect usb cable, and the power off, sometimes it work for me, also to charge the phone.

Im having issues with mi G900M related to OTG. I bought a Micro Duo Usb with OTG support and used it without problems, but it suddenly (Cant remember when) stopped being recognized by the phone. The usb works perfectly with my Samsung Tab S an PC, but cant be recognized anymore by my S5. The phone detects a USB being connected, but cant access anymore to files. Im running stock FW... and everything else too.
I would really appreciate your help guys.

If you connect via MTP you must unlock the screen before you can access your phone. (if you have a screen lock)
hey guys i purchased A5 2 months ago and all of sudden usb mtp stopped working. i have proper drivers installed. also in download mode it doesn't connect. it charges perfectly fine but just doesn't connect to pc.
no water damager nor drop damage . it just happened all of sudden
can anyone tell me what will be approximate cost to get it fixed as i've rooted my phone n cannot unroot without the usb port.
or if this is a software issue how can i solve?

Hi, I really need help. three months ago, some weeks after my Mi 9T overheated on sun (don't know if that has some relation to the issue), it suddenly stopped charging while on, unless I rebooted or turned off. Also, it had difficulties to transfer files to PC and connect to a flash drive by OTG.
Then, I took it to a guy and he said I needed to replace the charging port, and so I did. But only now, after a serious issue. I was changing my rom from MiRoom (MIUI 12) to Evolution X, since the MiRoom's developer ended the rom's support. But It didn't work, It boots into Fastboot mode. I tried to connect to PC and OTG, on recovery mode, but neither worked. The PC doesn't recognize my phone, and the OTG flash drive isn't recognized by the phone.
I bought the charging connector online and paid that guy to replace it. The port feels better, the connector feels way steadier when pluged in, but I still can't know if it charges while on and file transfer to PC or OTG is still not working. So, I'm stuck on recovery mode, in a rom that doesn't boot and a USB port that doesn't work properly. If anyone has a clue of what part I might take to replace or a repair, or maybe a software solution, if that's the case, I would be really thankful.
