Let me know what you think

Jesus thats one big monitor.
Tv monitor xd.
That gaming setup. In my opinion, is a very very very very expensive, rgbed and overpowered setup.
All you have left is an RTX or smth.

So... you just sit in front of that massive screen? Can you even see the whole thing at once?

Haha, yes. Both monitors are on full articulation mounts (up/down, left/right, back and forward, tilt). They can stick out 2.5 feet or sit flush to the wall so I can move them around. I usually have the monitor further back than in the pic but I wanted to get as close a grouping as possible when I took the picture.
If the 43" is as close as it is in the picture then that is too big but when I put it back about 9 inches its perfect for me. My eyes are not that good so if I dont have my glasses with me I can still see

Nah, I dont really game. I play Forza from time to time. I just like the LED's and how they look. Lots of options with the Corsair lighting.

Hmm then it would be good for coding i guess.

Wow, love the screens and the overall theme of your setup. I've gradually warmed up to the use of so many LEDs in PC setups.

Looks neat, cable management is well done.
Now I do not like so much RGB, I would prefer to see what theme is your personal preference, but well that is a matter of personal taste.
The monitors are too big at for this sitting distance, I think you would have a nicer experience with 3 smaller monitors (not small just smaller), or doing a setup in which your monitor is set farther away, maybe with a couch in from of it, but still visible from your working desk, this would require a whole setup modification and changing the placement of your desk tho (I have seen this kind of setups).
All in all, neat as I said before, but think about the 3 monitor smaller monitors setup, I think that setup would make your work or gaming more pleasant.

I do hope they put in a faster processor.
I think they took all the buttons away this time.

Haha... and good drivers for this chip
Any news of this from MWC2009?
To be honest, because of the low sales of the X7510, they are not going to change anything in the new version just so they can get rid of their excess hardware stock. I feel they will only upgrade the following:
Capacitive screen
Bigger resolution
Bigger ROM and RAM
and the rest stays the same...
Just look at what they did with the new HTC Touch PRO 2. Nothing new, still the same old device with a few changes. No big leaps...nothing...
Maybe we can hope that we get hold of a new ROM that the cooks might be able to tweak for our existing devices?
HTV Thoth
The HTC Advantage 4 will be the coolest device ever. It has time travel something like the Apple Time Machine. 3D hologram chat, which means you can see your girlfriend live in front of you. An option to dump windows OS for Apple iphone OS. 15 million pixel camera, a laser beam to defend yourself like Star Wars.
Please place your orders with HTC right now.
greatestkelvin
Ha-ha-ha, cool!
Thoth: More info, 09-2009 release date?
The big news (rumored, not confirmed) is that the processor and RAM/ROM will be upgraded:
HTC 7500/7501/7510 http://www.htcwiki.com/page/Athena?t=anon :
Processor: 624 MHz, Intel PXA270
RAM: 128 MB
ROM: 256 MB
Thoth:
Processor: 1GMHz Qualcomm 8250
RAM: 256 MB
ROM: 512 MB
Additionally, 5.0MP camera, and 480x800 screen.
Still no word on SSD, but I would estimate at least 32GB, but hoping for 64GB!

pre-ordering Athena 2 aka Thoth
Where can you place a pre-order?
Any news/info about the Thoth/Athena 2?
I can't found at FCC site.
Hopefully something will be released soon:

http://wmpoweruser.com/?p=8549
All very tenuous so far. Looks like nothing until 2010...
I hope they release a clamshell device.
If you look at the way HTC's site is configured, it is set up for:
Touch
Touch/type
type only
Since the Athena is touch/type I doubt it be a clamshell, but there are other devices that may be like the Shift
They really should resume development of the Thoth, it seems its time has really come now with the release of the Apple iPad, the Amazon kindle, the Dell mini 5 or even the Samsung mondi, it seems everyone is racing to fill in that sweet spot between maximum portability and capability.
As far as I see it, the htc athena / advantage was years ahead of its time, and consumer demand is only now beginning to catch up with these sort of toss it on the couch when your done surfing the web type devices.
And with Fennec, aka Firefox Mobile about to be released in a few months, with full desktop style youtube and google video support, it will be prime time for the Thoth to establish itself as the original iPad, Kindle, Mini 5, and Slate Pc killer.
C'mon HTC: don't miss out on this opportunity.

Do I have a freak HD2?

My HD2 will run stable clocked at 1.536Ghz; The maximum frequency allowable by SetCPU.
I don't remember HD2's normally running this fast. Not saying it hasn't been done just saying I remember people having problems past about 1.2Ghz. My last HD2 could barely break 1.1Ghz.
You have read on here about someone else who overclocked about that speed and their phone is now a nice paper-weight?

you will have a freaky-smelling-of-fried-mobo, very soon after running it at that speed.
matt
OCing 1st gen of snapdragon which use higher wattage and scaling to 1.5mhz is bad bad idea. Make stable profile for your mCPU with SetCPU with max: 1.2mhz/avg: 768mhz/idle: 640mhz you wont have any problems. Had no issue with HD2 OCed 24/7 for months with LeoCpuSpeed back when it was out. Just use common sense and don't OC if you don't need it.
Wow/ Thanks for all the words of warning guys.
Is this an issue with increased heat due to the higher wattage draw? Because one thing I have noticed strange about this HD2 is it seems to run alot cooler than my last one. My last one would get as hot as 104F. This one I can barely get to top 90F and a cool to the touch back of the phone confirms that.
Well more current = more heat, as its basically supplying more to scale the frequency. But my question is what is it that you do on your end that needs 1.5ghz OC? Top of that on HD2 thats insane, don't say you are gaming.
LOL not at all.
When you've been dabbling in overclocking since you were 14 and have gone as far as phase change cooling, you have an appetite to push things to their extreme limits.
I use to be like that lol held records in extreme overclocking forum but for my usage I hit my limit with quad core and stopped as any upgrade from then on for me is overkill as thats another matter not subjected to this forum.

Use to pull 3.5-4TB bandwidth my ISP was pissed as I had to build custom router/RAN server which ran on special ITX system p4 3ghz, 2gb ddr2 pc2700, 120mb pata just to cope with the high level traffic. Was around 3.2-3.3K tcp callback per sec and 3.5-4k udp callback per sec. So you could see how my ISP felt lol been offline ATM for close to year now.

HTC Zeta, 2.5GHz Quad-Core CPU & ICS

HTC Zeta rendered, rumored to pack 2.5GHz quad-core CPU and Ice Cream Sandwich

We just got handed imagery and specs of a possible HTC device in the works codenamed the Zeta. It's a quad-core handset, much like the Edge that was leaked last week, but it has a much faster 2.5GHz APQ8064 CPU along with 1GB of RAM running the show, on a 4.5-inch 720p HD display. According to our source, the uniquely shaped smartphone will come with Ice Cream Sandwich pre-installed with Sense UI (version 4.0 wasn't specified, but we'd be surprised to see it any lower on an ICS device) and have 32GB of internal storage space, an 1,830mAh battery, Beats Audio, Bluetooth 4.0, an 8MP rear camera with dual LED flash, 1080p video capture and a 1.3MP front-facing cam. Dimensions? We have those, too: the Zeta is said to measure at 109.8 x 60.9 x 9.8mm (4.32 x 2.4 x 0.39 inches) and weigh 5.15 ounces (146g). Pricing and availability aren't known, and we're still digging for more info. It certainly has an intriguing look; the sharp corners would be a huge departure from HTC's recent design choices, though it appears to have HTC's signature unibody build in the back. So are we just looking at a cool concept or is this the next flagship phone? We're hoping it's the latter.

Haha, it's all good man, I like the picture in there better too.
Anyways, this thing looks sharp! I wonder how it'd feel to actually hold it though. And 2.5GHz, quad-core is a ridiculous amount of processor power for a phone, it's crazy.
Yeah and the 2.5ghz??? My laptop sits at 2.1ghz...I could probably use Solidworks or Adobe Illustrator off of this phone sitting in class haha.
I wish they would up the camera sensors on it and bump up to Asia's megapixel and lens technology...13 megapixels and LUMIX lens~

They should just make it a damn tablet with these specs, lol. Give it about a 2-inch bigger screen, it'll pass as a nice small, powerful, tablet
This would be more powerful then my laptop. I think its time to get a new one.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
all we need there is USB port, and joystick ti stick in it and play PES
I didn't see this thread, I post another one here:

also needs hdmi out, gorilla glass,3d camera and display like the supersonic
nice baby
Amazing, powerful, will wait to see more to comes up to 2012.
wait this is for a PHONE? Holy crap ..... this would be better off in a tablet I think ... bt hey, some people crave power, so why not sell it to them?
This will probably be my next phone

Surface Pro 3 as Note Pro 12.2 Substitute

Torn between the two incredible devices but if going with just one the SP3 with BlueStacks runs Android apps really well such as Clash of Clans with Google Play Games game save sync, Beach Blitz Buggy with tilt control, Autodesk Sketchbook Pro with pen and pressure support, etc. Enjoy the best of both worlds.

I quite like the idea of the Surface 3.
However I refuse to pay 2000 euro for an Intel HD 4400. That rubbish isn't even worth 5 quid.

The only reason I looked at the Surface was for better photoshop support and being able to use ArtRage since they seem to have been working on the android app for 2 or 3 years now with no success or even a beta. Everything else I need to do I can do in android just fine. I really thought it would be better for those apps, then I saw the intel integrated graphics and that idea got thrown out real quick...

Which is still a complete waste of money.
Buying a devce with an IntelHD is like buying a Bugatti Vehron with the engine of a 10 year old Ford Ka. It is by far the worst bottleneck possible.
You get a 4th gen I7 3.3Ghz, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD, 2K res and Win 8.1 Pro.... And a GPU that can't even run a 5 year old game on Medium.
I own a laptop with similar specs, with the IntelHD 5000. I tried playing RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 at 1080 on High. Framerate: 5fps. Anything with an IntelHD isn't worth more than 5 quid. Regardless of the other specs.
A device is only as fast as its slowest part. An IntelHD 5000 equals the old Nvidia 7600GT.
its seems there is a misconception about the HD5000 performance. mbp's+mba's have been coming with the hd5k for a year now. It can run 3 2560x1600 screens without any issues. performance is more than adaquate. unless you're planning to play D3 with it...
far from it for me to revive an old thread...
update: actually I do use my i7 surface to run D3 ROS. performance is just fine. Can get 33+ fps at 1280+ (full specs) resolution without any issues.

For playing average games on Medium it's fine. For general use it can handle things perfectly well.
Diablo 3 was designed to run on older systems. It only asks Windows XP, Intel® Pentium® D, 2GB RAM and a 2005 NVIDIA® GeForce® 7800GT.
You manage to play a game well on an HD5000 that is meant to run well on a videocard from 2005. Yes, the required 7800GT is 10 years old. Not exactly an achievement....
But I pity the fool who tries to make it handle a 5000x5000px 60+ layer Photoshop file.
Give Dragon Age Inquisition on Ultra a try. You won't get past the 5fps.
I've got one in my laptop (In the delightfully ****e Optimus setup), and it's a nightmare. I prefer heavier games, like Dragon Age, Mass Effect, FEAR, Skyrim... The poor thing can't even handle 20fps at medium.
"That's because of the rest of your laptop!" Eh, no, because when I manually switch it to my 4GB VRAM GT 740M, they run at 55FPS on Ultra at 1920x1080. (Sorry, I've heard that argument so many times that I'm just preemptively dealing with it by now. If you weren't going to say it, just ignore it. )
Did you know most new games don't even start with an IntelHD? It's listed in the specs. Give Cities Skylines a try. It won't launch an actual game.

Nice touch with the cards and the dice. Didn't you have any poker chips?
Is that humongous monitor really mounted on a single point? I really like two points, I don't like booble-headed displays.
The PC is nice and clean, but I always go for the minimum of wasted space.
There really should be a better scheme (in general) for the retention of the back end of PCI cards. The flippy clips are not really secure and don't do anything for the top corner.

No poker chips but is a nice idea, might have to go out and get some.
I used to have a 24" 1080p display and since upgrading the monitor haven't gotten around to swapping out the arm from the little one I have there. It does support 27" but I want you get something beefier like you suggested.
Thanks for the feedback!
if you haven't already done so, can i recommend you try ctr 2.1rc5 to overclock your ryzen ?
my build has the same cpu, with 2x8gb b-die ram running at 1800 (3600)
the clocking software has 4 out of 6 cores managing to hit over 4.6ghz, with the weaker 2 hitting a mere 4.38 at peak, with maximal vcore never above 1.375v, and usually way less
runs ~ 10c cooler than the stock settings, and way faster
it's a beautiful thing...

Yeah, it's pretty quiet. I need to replace the back fan to match the others in the front as it's the only one I can hear and gets loud at the same rpm. Once I put my closed backs on I can't hear a thing.
