Need help rooting - Capacitive SC GPS Navi Android 4.4 2 Din 7" Car DVD Player Stereo

I have never rooted an android device and rooting something as fragile as a HU makes me nervous but I am needing to do so because I need to make my USB storage as internal storage. I am desperately trying not to brick this unit. I have read several threads regarding this but everyone seems to take different approaches and they have different car stereos than I. Not to mention I cant find a single user running Android Version 4.4.4. My unit was updated.

Any ideas? I attempted to download Baidhu Root vs 2.4.6 and its asking for a password to unzip it.
You have an AN-21U.
You don't have 4.4.4 no matter what the settings screen says. You have android 4.1
Research the root methods from the AN-21U thread. Or better yet, just install RedMod (avail in that thread). Pre-rooted.
Just curious is Redmod an entire OS? Also I flashed it with 4.4.4 .. it didn't come that way. You sure it's still 4.1?
Rooted it with Redmod and everything seems to work fine.

You have a Sofia unit. That unit is running Android 6.0.1. That does not support phones with Android 8.x. There is no firmware that will help you.
You should better take a look at HUR: Head Unit Reloaded. It is made by an XDA developer.

What info? From the supplier or the website or on your unit?
I don't see that from your images.
Also: A Sofia running on android 8.0? That would be the first that I know of (but I don't know everything , not by far )
Your 2nd image shows a Bluetooth version of 6.0.1.-23. That version is not correct, but is shows Android 6.0.1 with some kernel version.
Anyway: Even if your Sofia is running Android 8, there is no (custom) firmware available that will allow it to pair with an android phone on 8.x or newer.

Probably not. Maybe you can install the gtxaspec custom rom, but only if your funrover is 100% identical with a Joying Sofia (which is possible).
Normally there is a fyt.prop where the company is defined. For Joying that id is 43. So even if you use that custom rom, you first need to change the id in the custom ROM to the Funrover id, otherwise your MCU will give problems.
And even in that case: your android phone 8 will still not be supported in Android auto/Easyconnected.
So my advice: Don't even try that route as you will not have any support.
Go for HUR like I advised in my first post.

I received a car GPS Audio device for my car, namely:
Android version: 9.0
Kernel: 4.4.89 #84 Sat Oct 26 16:22:56 CST 2019
Build: t8_p2-eng 9 PPR1.181005.003 20191021-093341 test-keys

I am few questions easy to answer for an expert:
1) i am looking for any update if applicable
2) my CAN Bus is not detected. i have lost steering wheels commands: is there any application to install to recover it?
3) which application is to be installed to get fault codes and driving mileage?
Can anyone be so kind as to give me indications where to find it?
I would be glad to help any of you if i can help on these topics.

It says in settings Android 9.0.1, but it's actually Android 8 (confirmed by multiple 3rd party apps) Can I update it to Android 9? Also, can I update it to a customROM, or do custom ROMs even exist? I have the eonon GA9450B which seems to be a good unit, but the UI is a bit rubbish. I was wondering if there are any roms I can install instead of the stock?
I've done a search and have not found anything hence I thought I would ask via a question.
System: Android 10, CPU: MTK 8227L 1.2GHz ARM A7 Quad Core, RAM: 2GB, ROM: 32GB

Since it's not an MTCx unit. You might find info by searching '8227L' and also posting in forum with other MTK processor units. I've requested a mod moves this question to the Android Head units forum, because your unit isn't MTC nor does it have a specific sub forum.

looking through this forum it seems quite interesting and i want to explore this in depth when i get my android to work
i have bought a used Ford with the Xtrons PB78FSFP installed, but it malfunctioning, in the sense that it states Version Unmatched -01 and looking through this forum it seems that an MCU update might be the reason (seller had no clue). So my question is how do i find the right MCU for this model so i can start over and maybe get it to work properly.
Right now its running MTCE_AW_V3.71_1 (DEC 21 2020) but according to what i can google it doesnt fit this model
