My nibs are fine. I even dropped my pen tip down on cement and I had to replace it with another nib. The only thing I agree with that review is that I had to use a pair of nose pliers to pull it out because that tool comes with the nibs only work to pull the original nib out.

original nib
new nibs dont wear down.

Thanks for the replies. You are supposed to do the work using the s pen a lot. I bought the tab as the time it is released, have used the pen for writing most of the time, but my s pen nib is not as worn as yours. Did you put too much pressure on the pen when writing?

it's Samsung go figure. tab as 7 + 5G s pen nib is cheap.

do you guys buy nibs because original one is deformed somehow or is it because these new nibs provide better functionality in writing or drawing?

I mostly use my Tab for drawing and the nib is definitely wearing down faster that previous Samsung Tablets. It's crazy that they didn't include spares in the box like they used to

i am using hard nibs from note 10 . loving it

Need a nice leather pouch case - 8525 ?

Is it safe to assume that an 8525 case will fit the Tilt the same ?
I'm looking for a pouch-type case.
Thanks,
DLD
I have alot of experience with Gizmoskin.com i have had 4 of their cases for different phones.
I got the treo 750 case, which is within a mm on each side.
its awesome. I love their cases, secure, slim and ratcheting clip - the leather is TOP quality.
there is a little play at at the top of the case as far as fit, but it doesn't bother me and there is no worry of the phone falling out or anything, but it has some freedom to shift in the case.
FYI, the standard shipping is REALLY slow - to florida it can take like a good 2 weeks, cause they ship from canada. On the other hand, with overnight, ordered on thurs, shipped friday, at my house monday before 9 am. Pricey, but, it was there.
Good Luck!
fyi, with the case set horizontally, the phone feels like it weighs nothing. I wear alot of gym/ basketball shorts that have no strong waist support and it does not pull it out at all. i'm super happy.

Thread moved to Kaiser accessories.
nobody knows if the 8525 cases fit the kaiser properly ?
dld
It fits, but the TYTN2 is smaller. I use a SP6 Pouch Case and its fine.
I'm using a leather pouch case with a strong, rotating, belt clip I got at Best Buy that is intended for the Treo 650. Since the 650 is no longer available the case was reduced from $29.99 to $8.99 and it's a perfect fit.
yes, it fits. I'm using my TyTN case with my Kaiser (Tilt). the Kaiser is a bit narrower so not as tight a fit but it works.
I am also looking for a horizontal case with a belt clip for the Kaiser. Most of what I have seen so far are generics that fit 'most devices'.
Thinking about Vaja ...

This one arrived today. Going to charge it up and see how it works.
Initial thoughts -
Tablet fits in perfectly and the Velcro is very very heavy duty professional grade Velcro. No way the tablet is falling out or coming off.
The plastic removable keybaord is WAY WAY better then the silicone one I got in another portable keyboard folio and seems much much nicer. Should not have the sticking key issue.
More soon.
Initial pairing was fast and easy and this keyboard rocks.
Has some built in function keys working well also. Taking some pictures.
youtube video
No point in taking pictures - just check out this youtube video
only negatives i see so far are this
- it is a tiny bit larger then other keyboard folios, but very nice material and construction.
- no backside opening for camera so you would have to take out of holder to use if taking pictures. This is not a big deal for me.

It looks nice thanks for the share
Can't wait to here how it is going. Glad I saw your other post about the other bluetooth folio before I picked one up.

So far it is the perfect case. Sure it is not the smallest ever, but it is also NOT the biggest. The keyboard works as well as my normal keyboard. It pairs and stays connected. Battery life has been great, and I now have my USB port back available for a wireless mouse.
The material and feel - feels considerably nicer then the cheap overseas ones I was trying.
I have to say this is a great case and for now my every day case.
Looks really great. I'm instantly added it to my shopping list.
How about weight? Is it heavy?
And do you need to remove tablet from this case to charge it? It looks like one of the holders cover charger input.

nope - if you use the larger corner velcro holding pieces there are openings along both sides so all ports are available and open.
Really works great.
i would not say it is heavy, but it is very protective thick on the top and bottom and it is a solid keyboard and not a crappy silicone one.

[HOW TO] Safely Remove & Install Rear Cover

The Note II rear battery cover has fragile hooks that hold it in place in addition to the usual tabs. Failure to remove/install the cover in the proper fashion can result in broken hooks and a loose/creaky cover.
My cover was creaking in the corner above the volume rocker. I didn't realize the hook was broken until I stumbled across a thread where other users were experiencing the same issue.
I drew something up to hopefully prevent others from breaking their tabs/hooks. The green arrows show the direction on how to safely remove/install the hooks.

This is from a Sprint device but I assume the design is the same on the variants.
thanks for the guide, this back cover is harder to put back than note 1 and s3
Good to know, thanks! :good:
Yeah I was victim of creaky cover because I removed it really hard first day I got it. Anyone know where I can get a replacement cover?

What's the black bit on the inside of your cover? Looks like a place-holder for a wireless charging module.

Yeah, I looked at my S3 cover and the tabs looked reinforced. The hooks on the N2 are weeeeak. I only had my phone for a couple of days until I noticed that the hooks broke.

Try your local Sprint store that services phones. They usually have extra parts laying around but the N2 is still new so they might not have them yet. I'm still looking for a replacement cover.

That black plate is for my iMagnet car mount (thread). Highly recommended! I know a magnetic mount sounds crazy but I'll let the 5-star reviews speak for themselves.
i have no broken or bent tabs and it's still lose by the volume button. such a simple flaw on such a great phone. this stinks!
I noticed that the pictures don't show the wireless charging pins, which should look similar to the NFC pins but it's next to the battery
Beamed from Jupiter on my Galaxy Note II
The pics were taken from a Sprint variant where the housing covers the wireless charging pins. They're there underneath.
thanks

[Q] To case or not to case

Hello all,
So I recently purchased a Note 4. I have to admit that the device looks gorgeous, and I can't decide if I should put a case on it or not. What do you guys prefer and why?
I use s view as my case and it still look weel
Note 4 easy to get scratch so i decide to get a case.
How well does the S view case work, and is it worth the money?
I use a case. Doesn't look near as nice but feel it's needed to be safe. A good case is like insurance, you might not need it but if something happens you can't get it after the fact.
That's actually a good way of putting it. Thanks a bunch.
Being such a costly device I also wanted a cover, but was afraid to ruin the feeling of the phone.
First had a S-View cover, but that just made the phone awkward to hold. and really just easier to drop if you try to take pictures because the flap have to hang down or sideways...
then bought a samsung protective cover, best cover I had on a phone. it made the phone ever better to hold and doesn't add so much bulk. I really recommend you give it a try.

Got the Rinke slim tpu case from Amazon. After buying the s-view case which is horribly awkward and a bulky case from caseology I find the Rinke slim case amazing.
I always use a case. I usually resell my phones or trade them in and you can get a lot more for a mint-condition device than one covered in wear & tear. Also, I like being able to dress up my phone in different "outfits", haha.
I have the purple tech 21case ffrom T-Mobile along with a few others that I got from the accessory shops here in Dallas. Right now my N4 is wearing a purple & blue imitation otterbox, its very cute & extremely protective

I second that inquiry...
EDIT:
You know, I've been thinking about that... Like all big corps they wanna make money... So I doubt it. Can't make a buck if S6 and S7 share parts.
From what I heard the ones from Note10 are the same. I think from Tab S6 should work just as well.
Yes the nibs are the same. Unfortunally with the tab s7 plus there were no extra nibs in the box. Dropt my spen on the nib......I replaced it with a tab s6 spen nib they are the same.

Actually I found out, that even my old Note 10.1 (2014 edition) S-Pen Nibs are working.
Luckily me, as from this time I still have 2 soft replacement nibs (quite worn down ).
All ebay shopping I did so far only went one time luckily: got 3 soft, 3 hard nibs. The others trails always gave me hard nibs
All are working, but I prefer the soft ones.
If any one knows a shop in Germany where to buy (inexpensive) soft nibs: please post it. I only have 3 left...
This also could be the remarkable nibs - they are told to work fine and are soft. But I honestly do not want to spend more then 10 EUR for 2 nibs, when you can get 6 hard nibs for < 3EUR.
I'm looking for a combination of hard and soft nibs. I've checked ebay and amazon and IMO $1 per nib is pretty expensive. These are just pieces of plastic. Should be like 50 for $5. If anyone has a good deal on hard and soft nibs, please share!
