Poco Sdcard Problem..Help!! - POCO M3 Questions & Answers

So I bought a Poco m3 because it has nice specs and storage could be up to 512gb thru microsd. Now i put a 512gb sdcard on it and formatted it. Suddenly, the phone rebooted by itself and shows the poco logo for so long. It hasnt showed it's home screen yet and still stucked to its "rebooting" phase. I am worried as hell if this is normal and just wait foe it or there is something wrong going on and i have to remove the sdcard immediately. HELP ME PLEASE! I DONT WANT TO BREAK IT IT IS SO NEW

Well I mean, you could try removing it and force restart (pressing power button for > 5sec) to see if it has anything to do with it.
If it does reboot normally after this, try putting the SD card again to see. If it happens again, then you have a problem with your SD card, consider using another one (or 256go just-in-case).
I wouldn't worry much about "breaking it", the very worst scenario would be a boot-loop that you can fix using a computer. Inserting a corrupted SD card shouldn't "break" it.

i find it terribly difficult to read text that has no punctuation as well as all lower case because it is very difficult to follow you need to comprehend the damage that was done to your phone by water which may render it entirely unusable for a variety of reasons there are two flash devices in the phone the external sd card that came with it and an internal flash memory built in to the hardware which contains the android system the bulk of applications and your application data replacing your external sd card will not solve your problem if the internal flash memory has been damaged the red triangle is produced by the stock recovery program which can only recover if you have a recovery image loaded on your sd card here is something you can try download the pd15img file and rename it to PD15IMG.zip copy it to the root of an sd card to do so you will need to find another microsd device a phone or camera then insert the card into your mt4g phone insert the battery and hold the volume down while powering up you will be in the bootloader use volume up down to mouse between selections and the power button to select select bootloader select factory reset if this works and if there is no other damage your phone you should be good to go

You need to comprehend the damage that was done to your phone by water, which may render it entirely unusable for a variety of reasons.
There are two flash devices in the phone: the external SD card that came with it, and an internal flash memory built in to the hardware which contains the Android system: the bulk of applications and your application data. Replacing your external SD card will not solve your problem if the internal flash memory has been damaged.
The red triangle is produced by the stock recovery program, which can only recover if you have a recovery image loaded on your SD card.
Here is something you can try:
* Download the PD15IMG file and rename it to PD15IMG.zip.
* Copy it to the root of an SD card. To do so you will need to find another MicroSD capable device -- a phone, or camera.
* Then, insert the card into your MT4G phone.
* Insert the battery, and hold the volume down while powering up. You will be in the Bootloader. Use volume up down to "mouse" between selections, and the power button to select.
* Select BOOTLOADER
* Select FACTORY RESET
IF this works and IF there is no other damage your phone, you should be good to go.
same thing happened to me.had the exact same problem. i just let the phone completely dry out,for about a week then it jus started working.i did have to install the stock rom.
A few days later the phone just went blank again,so i sent it in to tmo and got a new 1 for free

[Q] Bricked!?!?!

I've heard about how it's pretty much impossible to brick the nook... Mine seems about as useful as a brick though. I was trying to set up a dual boot following these instructions. Basically, I had HC installed to the internal memory. backed it up, formatted system and data, then flashed update-nc-stock-1.2. CWM said that was successful. Then I rebooted with my CWM SD card out. Screen said "read forever" or whatever, then went blank. I waited for about 5 minutes, and pressed the power button. The screen went from an 'on' blank to an 'off' blank. Since then, I haven't been able to get it to turn on at all. Just an 'off' blank screen with no signs of life, even with charger cable connected. Tried it with CWM SD in and out. None of the buttons seem to do anything...
Thanks in advance!!
I'm pretty new to the Nook having just got it today, but I did some reading prior to attempting anything to see how easily I could back out if I had to.
Have you tried basically starting over (ie. Let go of the multi-boot dream for a bit and get back to basics)
You know, take a SD card, use diskimager to put the clockwork 3.0.2.8 image on it with the CM7 full ROM and boot to that, then format system, data and cache with clockwork and finally install the CM7 zip image (and gapps I guess) just to get going again.
If it all works, maybe take another run at whatever you are trying to do with the multi-boot stuff.
Thanks for the reply.
Sounds awesome; problem is I can't get the thing to do ANYTHING. boot period, into recovery or otherwise. I plug it in and it displays nothing - no 'wait 15 minutes and try again'. Just a black screen no matter what I do. I have an SD card with recovery on it, and i've tried making it do something with or without the SD card. No luck.
Good luck with your nook; I had really been enjoying mine.
So holding the power button for 10-15 seconds doesn't do anything?
Or when you plug in the power does it try to boot?
I mean in a complete worst case scenario you could grab yourself a T5 and open it up, disconnect the battery, and then reconnect it.
Then something is wrong with your Recovery SD card, as no matter what, hardware dictates that it reads the sd card first. The problem with what you did through dual boot methods is you resized partitions. So even if you do back out of all of this, you're going to be losing space unless you setup dual boot.
Recreate the CWM recovery card, either redownload the image and reburn it. Find a different one or something else, because it should load on startup.
Thanks for the help!
Reformatted SD again, then tried powering up with the power cord unplugged. Apparently it won't boot into recovery as long as the power cable is in, and whatever the boot was on EMMC was messed up. Happily running stock 1.2 now, next step, dual boot with HC!
Anyone know how I can delete this thread as it's pretty unnecessary?

I had a similar issue, except it didn't appear to power on with or with the sd card.
This got me through those tough times: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=949699
I ordered a new Nook before realizing it wasn't really off, the screen just wasn't coming on.
Basically, you need to start over.
was in the process of doing that thread when i got to the part to power on nook and its that part that im kinda stuck at. im not even getting a back lit screen im getting nothing. but if i take out the sd card it powers on fine just wont boot up
so i used a different sd card and it booted up and finished the restore process
edit: still wont power on with SD card.. card bad?

U8800 bricked and no access to pink screen

I have a U8800 Pro with the original 2.2.2 kernel.
I attempted today to update to 2.3.5 so that then I could take it to the newly released 4.0.3.
All these were done with the official Huwaei ROMs. (U8800%2B Android 2.3 V100R001C00B572G001)
I did a factory restore before I started the whole process just to be on the safe side as well.
Unfortunately during the second step of the process after the reboot the phone remains in the "Unpacking - Update Failed" state
I cannot go into the pink screen mode. I tried with removing the battery as well but even though I attempt to boot with Volume + power key pressed it still goes straight to the update process and the obvious error. Obviously I cannot access the internal SD card from my PC (does not show up on dmesg) so I can at least delete the dload directory
Is there a way to bypass this problem and go to pink screen mode ?
If I use an external SD card and put a ROM on that will it boot from that or it will still first access the internal SD card ?
Thanks is advance for any answers.
Try to put dload folder on a external sd and update again. I guess you cant access recovery right?
Try to turn on the phone in pink screen (Download Mode) without the SD CARD, I use that trick when the same problem attack my phone.

unfortunately no recovery or pink screen mode. Will try to use an external SD card
So, it worked?

Yeah it worked.
Used an external SD card to do the update and to phone booted without any trouble.
It seems the update file on the internal SD card must have been corrupted or not transferred correctly.
Still the inability to access to pink screen was quite scary. Serves me right for using the internal storage for something like this.
OK

[Q] Reboot cycle after restart help

I got my gorgeous note 3 this morning and when i updated the phone with all my settings google play started to install my apps
Half way through the phone rebooted and got stuck in a reboot cycle
I couldnt stop the cycle so ended up hard resetting it via volume up power and home (or was it volume down !)
I then found that non of my apps would install even manually i got error 920
I worked out why and removed the device from my play device list
I then installed app of my apps and rebooted the phone to make sure nothing was lurking in the memory after i had installed them
I got stuck in a cycle again and had to pull the batter
I replaced the battery and it carried on
I ended up taking my battery out for 10 mins and then it turned on normally
I tested again and once again it started the reboot cycle
I have spoken to clove technology who advised me to return the phone for a replacement which i have done
my question is has anyone had this issue ? any ideas what caused it ??
The phone was hot but not boiling hot .. i thought it might be a rogue app but it did it again on my next reset with no apps
Love the phone but dissapointed with the handset i got - fingers x the next one is perfect
Thanks in advance

My note 3 did it without the charger plugged in .
It was stock uk firmware completely untouched
I have the same issue. I have found that it is because of conflict between some apps (app), micro sd and sim card. If I put off the micro sd, its ok. If i turn on "Flight mode", its ok too. And when i have wiped my device it was ok too (with sd inserted) untill i had installed my apps (I have more than 300 of them, so its very difficult to identify, which of them causes this problem).
Hope together we will solve this problem

Its not just an app fault. I think its because of a conflict between app-microsd-sim. I have installed all my apps to internal memory, and wthout sd or when turning on flight mode before rebooting (with sd connected) - its ok. But when sd is connected, all apps are instaled and 3g is on - it causes rebbot cycle.

I'll test with installing all apps with no sad card
I'll report back
Thanks
I had the same issue and done a few tests.
What I can say is :
- when i used the phone for the first time there was no problem (SIM + SD CARD + 3G)
- when i updated the preinstalled apps (SIM + SD CARD + 3G) there was no problem
- once i installed all my apps reboot issue appeared.
I tried with or without SD CARD => No change
I tried with and with SD CARD but 3G off (Plane Mode) => No loop boot issue !
I thought maybe it was one of my apps so i restarted the phone in "Secured Mode", 3G on => reboot problem appeared again.
So this is a system (or maybe preinstalled and updated) app that's causing problem.
I think that only an updated firmware can resolve this.
One thing sure is that the booting time of this phone is really fast, about 10 sec after the Samsung logo.
So for now when i need to reboot i put the phone in plane mode first, expecting Samsung to correct this (I hope this is not an hardware issue or something fishy regarding the carrier zonning).
Anyway despite this issue i'am really glad to have this phone and haven't any regret buying it !

1- Backup your SD and External SD card
2- Format your External SD card without removing it from the phone.
3- Restart your phone in stock recovery mod
4- Wipe Data/Cache
5- Restart the phone .

THANX NANI !
I tried copying apps from external to internal.. no dice..
BUT this.. this works for me.. take sim card out boot phone up and put it in airplane mode.
Power down then insert sim card boot up.. presto.. boots properly..
If I forget to put it in airplane mode before reboot I just repeat this step.. works for me 100% of the time I tried it at least 5 times..
This will be fixed with a firmware update.. I too have a UK version... untouched.. imported.. I'm in Australia.

we shouldnt have to do this , it should work out of the box without trying to get it to reboot without the loop
not impressed but hope samsung fix this asap
i have my second handset coming tomorrow , im going to install all of my apps on my handset before i install my memory card and see if that sorts it without the boot loop .. if not its going back for a refund and im getting something else (Not sure what else as nothing beats this beast)
Question for you guys and ladies who are having the issue what size memory card are you using ??
Notice that henklbr is using a 64gb memory card ... is everyone else ??
wonder if its an issue with the memory card size ??
another question did you all hve your memory card in when you were installing apps ??
has anyone tried to install without the card and then put it in once installed
i wonder if its to do with some of the apps going onto the memory card
its damn annoying and i hope samsung hurrys up and sorts it as i dont want to jump through hoops to restart my expensive smart phone

I am not rooted , do i wipe data and cache in the power up menu (power, home and volume up (or is it down) ???
never been rooted so have never seen wipe data cache before if you can help
I am not rooted too so you have to follow these steps
1- take the battery out ( just to make it happen correctly for next step)
2- Hold down the power + Vol. down + home button till you see samsung logo
3- Let go all the buttons and you will see a screen in black lying down android with exclamation mark on belly
4- From there you will have to move down the cursor with vol. down button and when the cursor is on wipe data / cache push the power button.
5- Say yes with the same type movements
6- Now you formatted your whole system and delete everything
7- Hope works for you and enjoy..

Do u have a memory card in ? If so what size ? If u did , did u install your apps with the card in ?
I wonder if it's a memory card issue
As there's not boot loop on "plane mode", I tried to reboot with "plane mode off" but without the SD Card => phone goes in boot loop.
So I tried withoud the SD Card and without the SIM Card => phone made 2 reboot before being able to stabilize.
So, after a hard reset, there's no issue even with SD card and SIM inserted ... But after software update and apps installed, phone goes insame ...
As SIM Card and SD Card are using the same slot, maybe there a "memory conflict" ... Something that could be related to the firmware (as from a fresh start there's no problem).
