A515f Has no Download mode - Samsung Galaxy A51 Guides, News, & Discussion

Hey Guys.
I've a big Problem.
I have the sm a515f and i want to Flash the custom recovery but i dont have the download Mode, it's not existing.
No matter the way i choose ,the Phone don't wann bot in to the download Mode.
If i boot to the download Mode, it will put mehr in the Standard bootloader Mode but not realy.
It stays in Green "booting to bootloader" but it dont boot into the.
It's live the download Mode is not existing.
With adb fastboot Tools and sideload it gives me "error 21" and i found nothing in google.
The way is no matter ,i fiund me in a blackscreen Witz green Text Worte stays "booting to bootloader" and it's happens nothing but i have wait an complete night.
I've tried to put my Phone with USB to Odin and put my Phone via Odin in the Mode.
I've tried to test it with adb shell but it's the self "error 21" and in the Stock recovery i can't make Screenshots for you.
It gives nothing about error 21 to solve it an it gives nothing in the Topic "Phone without download mode" pr the Topic "download Mode Shows in blackscreen with Green Text, boot to bootloader"
I've tried to ask other peoples in other Forums but there are only stupid guys ,there says that i need the combination volume- and Power and this is clear and logical but if i would it happen so simply i would not ask for help.
Herr in xda are very good Professionals and i hope for your help please.
How can i do it or anything without adb ,without download Mode and with the explicit error Code 21 ? Have anyone this Problem?
Thanks

Although this is for the S20, it helped me with my A51.

The second post gives the solution. Had to try it a few times.
afaik there is no Official TWRP at the moment.
And if you want to root, this Video, although complicated works. Quite some people here succeeded with his guide.
cheers

I am find solution, very hard brick
You must clip off batery, and connect cable after volume + -
Volume +- and connect cable with no baterry connect !
If you odin halted
Clip off batery
Wait few second
And carefuly connet batery

[Q] Unbricking Zte Blade 3

First of all thanks for not caring. I spend days on Internet trying to find a solution. I have Blade which I bricked thanks to my noob skills with flashing and similiar ****. I just want my normal phone back. Couldn't give a **** bout roms anymore. Sorry for the lang but Im mad. When I boot it up it just sits there on green android logo not going past. I can enter download mode if it matters. As soon as I back it up Im getting rid of cwm mode and bull****. I use my sister phone to transfer files on my sd card. I cant enter my recovery mode since I installed that **** of cwm. When I try the key combo-android logo stuck with red light on. My phone has 90-100% battery Im sure. I need a solution where I can do something from pc with download mode or something that will automatecly start when I boot up my phone that I transfered on my SD card. Please guys let me have some sleep. I've been staying all night long just to unbrick it. Dont mention any flashing rooting ****ing...I developed alergy to those words. I want it simple ..please...any help is appreciated. And sorry for my language.

Calm down dude. If you can get in Download Mode , you are lucky. I even know people who had not get to Download Mode and had began to cry , cause the phones were only 3-4 Weeks old. Back to your problem.]First download here the stock rom.[/URL]
Then you need the Android SDK and the platform-tools from Google , so download it , cause you need ADB. Click here to get Android SDK.Then you need the ZTE drivers. Click here to get the drivers. Now get into download mode and connect the device via USB to your PC. Copy the boot.img (or recovery.img if it is in the ZIP package) and flash it via Fastboot (command: fastboot recovery.img) . Now you got the stock recovery. Now push the FULL update.zip at your sdcard , and now go to recovery , and update from sdcard , choose the update.zip ... Flashing takes a while. DO NOT WIPE ANYTHING BEFORE OR AFTER CHOOSING "UPDATE.ZIP" . Now your Phone should fully works normally
Hello, I have also bricked ZTE BLADE 3(I flashed a wrong kernel....). It only turns the red light on when i turn it on and blank screen, does not respond to vol + and vol - key, no android logo, but when I connect it to the computer via usb in Device Manager a COM port opens with the name ZTE DFU(Diagnostic interface). If anyone has experience of reviving this device from this mess? Thank you for your time

Your download screen is destroyed , but you are still able to get into it.
Try to get into it and flash the kernel with fastboot , the screen will bug during fastboot procedure.
My screen is completely blank and black, just the red light showing when i turn it on and it is always on. It does not respond on power button + vol. down, power button + vol. up, power button + vol. down + vol. up. When I connect it to the computer it does not show me a usb flash drive although I have the zte drivers installed and another sd card inside, but in Device Manager I can see it as a COM port(DFU) Diagnostic Interface. I tried accessing the bootloader via adb but it doesnt even list it with command "adb devices". I also tried flashing the recovery image via "fastboot recovery recovery.img" and "fastboot recovery.img" and still no luck, it just hangs at "waiting for device"...

When the red light still comes up , you still got chances to get it fixed...
I think so too.. but how? The only method left is JTAG... I saw a thread about using a TPT image to flash low level firmware using ZTEflash.exe but that thread was for ZTE Skate I think, I could not find the tpt.img file for zte blade 3.... Is there any other method via usb cable? Or send it to the shop?
Well, here is my situation:
Got a BLADE III Pro
Tried to root it and i played with few tools found on xda and other places (android forums). No luck at all. Tried to flash a CWM and NO LUCK neither. Tried to go back to flash stock CWM (as i was afraid of bricking it), searched for stock cwm and there is my BRICKED phone. When trying to hold volume down and power botton (both for over 20 seconds even) it will show a green android and its stuck there for hours. When trying to go to fast boot mode the same happens (with volume up and power botton).
While trying these two options the PC (Windows 7 64 bit) wont recognize the phone pluged in.
The only way the PC makes a sound is when i hold both volume up and down bottons and power it or plug it in the PC (without the battery even).
I need to know how can i fix it to boot only. PLEASE. Is this a "throw on can" phone now or it can be brought to life? PLEASE TELL ME PEOPLE.
pm me or any info as soon as you guys can.
I will respond to any question you might have.
Thank you in advance.
I have sent my phone to the shop and they said that they would need a jtag box specific for this model or a new motherboard for zte blade 3.... I think this the end for my zte blade 3

[Q] Ugh, I'm a retard. I flashed CWM BEFORE CF-AUTO-ROOT.. HELP!

HELP
I know I'm a retard, so please spare me the ridicule.
I accidentally flashed CWM BEFORE CF-AUTO-ROOT. Now when I boot into "download" mode, I get the droid that's flat on its back with a red triangle on top of its chest. I get the error message "no command", and when I plug in my USB cable, neither ODIN or the computer detects the phone as a device anymore!! Good god, what do I do?? Please tell me ADB can fix this! Or something else that I'm not aware of..

That is probably the recovery you're talking about and not download mode. You access download mode by doing the following;
- turn phone off ( or remove battery and put back in but don't press power button )
- press Vol Down + Power + Home Button all at the same time until the warning message appears on the screen then let go of the buttons
-now pres Vol Up and phone will enter download mode
At this point you can either flash CWM or CF Auto Root. But make sure you use the right file for your os ( 4.3 or 4.4 ) or you will soft brick the phone. It doesn't matter if you install CWM first because you can just flash supersu using CWM to gain root.

Holy crap, that was close. I used "ADB reboot download", and it bypassed the farked recovery. Odin detected it and CF-AUTO-ROOT I did! :highfive:
For anyone else who runs into the same situation, download the Android SDK, plug in the phone, start the ADB daemon from a command prompt ("adb start-server"), run "adb reboot download", and poof, you're back into Odin mode..

Wouldn't have been easier doing it by button presses? I mean see what happened.

[Q] LG G2 stuck in fastboot mode started!

Hello all! So recently i decided to try and install a custom recovery, autodec or something and when i boot into recovery all it says is:
[860]fastboot mode started
[910]udc_start()
(if i plug it into my PC it adds)
[1070]-reset-
[1080]-portchange-
[1150] fastbootrocessing commands
Note:numbers change at times
i have tried A LOT of methods but it never works, so its either me that did the method wrong or that it doesn't work at all.
I CANNOT get into recovery mode at ALL
I CANNOT go into download mode, it just switches back into the fast boot mode started...
i cant factory hard reset, all it does is take me back into the fast boot thingy.
so basically everything takes me back to the fast boot thing.
PLZ HALP XD <3
EDIT: Also when i try cmd it says device is not ready?

S5 SM-G900F Soft-/ Hardbrick?

Hi all,
I've tried to downgrade my S5 from most recent Kies lolipop to kitkat (G900FxxxANCE from sammobile). After odin pass the phone reboots (at leas it seems so) but does not show up on screen - so screen is black and no chance to do anything - the blued led comes up.
I tried some tutorials without success (last try: remove battery - powerbutton - wait). Do you
a) know whether it is a soft or hard brick?
b) any workaround?
If you answer to this I would be very glad since I'm currently a bit nervous.
Thank you and regards so far.

No, not really. Or I don't really know since the screen doesnt show anything. I've read that the blue led stands for entering download mode.
Well, at least odin recognizes the phone when plugging in while the blue led is on.
If you had a successful odin flash, you should have a recovery.....
You need to (at least) try to get into recovery.....sometimes, in cases like this, wiping cache and factory resetting (maybe a couple of times) is enough to get the phone to reboot......
If it doesn't work, going to download mode and re flashing your LP firmware may be necessary.......

The screen is plain dead. It does not react in any way. When I "start" the phone I don't see anything except the blue led in the upper left corner on the phone itself.
I'm not sure if its booting into recovery (I've read that the blue led stands for recovery mode though).
The only thing I recognize is the successfull connection in Odin but I can't flash again since it hungs in "Connecting..."-state.
Regards.

Remove the battery so you know 100% the phone is off
Replace battery
Press and hold Power Down & Home & Power until it enters download mode
If nothing appears on the screen after a few seconds (Give it about 5+ seconds of holding the buttons down), then it is likely a hardware issue
Possibly the phone itself, but also possible one of those buttons is not working

Thank you. It didn't work in any way. I've tried to connect via ADB and factory reset but I can't establish a ADB connection. I connect the device and windows tells me "Installing drivers" (Drivers are installed) but fails in the end. So I guess this is the fault. Whatever.
I can't tell in which state the phone boots as I only see the blue led (its just turned on - no blinking).

Sounds like it's time for the old repair shop unfortunately
i have had the same problem when i downgrade to kitkat to fix it download a lollipop rom from sammobile then u have to :
-remove battery put it back
-press Home + Power + Volume Down buttons
-screen will be black no problem press up arrow to continue to download mode
-connect phone to usb
-open odin u will see it is connected
-flash lollipop and u will be back
i think it is a restriction for lollipop because u will root the phone on kitkat with tw.apk
if this not will help i have another solution just try it same problem to me and i figured my self to fix the problem
Hi all,
i have the same probleme with my sam G5.
after flashing back the lolipop stock rom 5.0 the phone seems to be working properly except for the screen that shows nothing; windows detects it as MTP device and i can get in and see all the content inside of it, also when i assimilate entering the download mode (volume down + Home + power then after few secondes Vol up) it goes well since odin detects it and flash it (but always there is nothing that shows up on the screen),
any ideas or hints ??
If you want to downgrade to kitkat from lollipop, then flash kitkat modem and bootloader for your device, you can search on the xtrestolite post, the developer put bootloaders and modems for each g900* device for kitkat and lollipop roms.

Cant get to "Download Mode" by key combo.

Hello! I have lurked this site for ages, I usually find the answers i seek without the need to create an account and post, so I'm grateful for you guys existing, but today I'm stuck and I need help.
Issue: Can't get to Download mode (Odin mode) By combo (Vol D + Home + Power) I can get to recovery mode tho. Trying to "Reboot to bootloader" only restart the phone. I have tried all the combos that come to mind in different orders and nothing.
I did manage to get to Download mode by using "adb reboot download" the problem is that it gives me the "Downloading..." and whatever I try to flash it just stays there for hours without doing anything, the only feedback Odin gives me is "SetupConnection.."
I have tried different cables, different USB port, different Odins, different pcs.
I have enabled OEM and USB Debugging, I can see the phone(in Odin) while on "DownloadING mode" but I can't do anything to it, idk if it's busy Downloading something(???) or if I need to get to "Download Mode" by key combo for it to work.
I have no more ideas, I'm stuck, any kind of help is appreciated, and thank you for reading this far!
TL : DR: Can't get to download mode by key combo, only by adb, cant flash then, cuz download mode is busy downloading(?)
